Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

Good luck to everyone!!! Flowers

purplebella · 05/10/2016 17:52

Rosebud, you have ages to wait to find out what it is!

lousylear · 05/10/2016 18:20

Omg my boobs are really hurting now and look like a motorway map. I'm really hoping for a bfp on Saturday. Although trying not to get my hopes up as I was convinced I was pg last month until AF showed up 10 days late. However my boobs do feel different this month and I'm so hungry all the time. Which is very unusual for me. FX for us all. Is anyone else testing on Saturday?

Writerwannabe83 · 05/10/2016 18:38

I can't believe you haven't tested lousy!!!

I'll be testing Saturday lousylear but my symptoms aren't looking as good as yours. I feel af coming Sad

MotherofUnicorns · 05/10/2016 19:48

Just got a bfn. Great. No idea what Is going on with me this month. Cd36 now, no Af, not pg....... Feel pretty rubbish about it all.

Writerwannabe83 · 05/10/2016 20:06

Are you normally regular unicorns?

bairnsangs · 05/10/2016 20:08

I'll be testing on Saturday or maybe I'll hold out until Sunday...just went to aerobics and felt very lightheaded and weird. It was a really tough class and I probably ate too close to class starting so it's probably nothing! I'm also very hungry all the time and the boobs are a bit sore. But of course it could just be AF getting ready to arrive Hmm

bairnsangs · 05/10/2016 20:51

Also, TMI but I think I have thrush Sad does anyone know if it's ok to get the usual over the counter treatment such as the pessary?

FlashingLights · 05/10/2016 21:07

bairns Yes, usual treatment safe to use Smile

Fx to those waiting to test!

Alibaba2 · 05/10/2016 21:14

Elles, I noticed you had cramping a couple of days ago like me. What makes you think AF is coming?

MotherofUnicorns · 05/10/2016 21:19

writer i can't really remember - i had a Mirena coil for 4 years until June. I definitely wasn't like clockwork but i think i was always within a week 24 days - 30days. Feeling a bit periody today. I just want AF to get here so i can crack on next month really. I have dealt with not being pg this cycle.

FlashingLights · 05/10/2016 21:20

unicorns that's how I feel too, just want it here so I can begin the next cycle now. I am frustrated not knowing when AF is really due either after a long stint of no periods with the implant

bairnsangs · 05/10/2016 21:23

Thanks Flashing

Sorry things are still no clearer Mother Brew I hope you get n answer soon!

MotherofUnicorns · 05/10/2016 21:30

currently self medicating with wine!

Writerwannabe83 · 05/10/2016 21:36

I have had a Mirena twice unicorns and each time I was pregnant within four weeks of having it removed. The first time resulted in DS and the second time resulted in my early miscarriage.

When I had the Mirena in prior to DS I still had really regular periods, my cycle wasn't affected at all except my periods were much shorter and lighter. I think the fact that my periods still occurred properly is what made it easier to get pregnant.

When I had my second Mirena (12 months post DS) it was a completely different story and I bled on and off for 8 months, it was a nightmare. After those eight months though the bleeding stopped completely and I had no periods. After 5 months of no periods I had it removed in order to TTC #2, had a small withdrawal bleed within days and then conceived about two weeks later. I was obviously really sad it ended in miscarriage but I had been warned that when a Mirena is removed if you catch first cycle on the back of irregular bleeding then miscarriage rate is very high.

I was advised to wait a few months to allow my periods to regulate again, which they did almost straight away but here I am 6 months later and still no BFP.

It's so confusing, annoying and disheartening.

Motherofunicorns put the wine down. You're not out until AF shows her fugly face. Keep positive!!

MotherofUnicorns · 05/10/2016 21:52

HA no chance!!
Thanks writer i had it for 4 years with a v light period every 3 months or so. I am sure my body is just readjusting to not having it but it is frustrating!

Writerwannabe83 · 05/10/2016 22:08

Are you using OPKs? That might give you some idea as to what's going on?

OP posts:
Elles85 · 05/10/2016 22:24

Alibaba2, I've felt the usual af feelings and cramps all day however I feel really nauseous tonight which is not a normal symptom for me but DH did cook for me tonight so could be that bless him!

It's still early for af cramps for me though but it could be coming early. I'll see if it comes by tomorrow. When are you due af?

Alibaba2 · 05/10/2016 22:43

Elles, I'm due Sunday but I do get cramps during the TWW - sometimes from 5dpo, this month starting at 7dpo. I used to get excited but now just see it as normal. I feel that AF is coming too. Just waiting for the PMS to kick in tomorrow or Friday.

If it's earlier than normal for you, that could be a good sign.

Hope DH hasn't poisoned you!
