The October Bus - hoping for lots of BFPs and Summer babies!!

Hi guys, just starting the October bus.

I'm almost 33, have a DS (2.5 years) and am now trying for DC2. I caught pregnant on cycle 1 but unfortunately had an early miscarriage and am now entering cycle 5.

My current situation is that DH has been changing his mind over the last 12 months to wanting to try for another, then not wanting to, then wanting to etc and it's been very difficult. We have now come to the compromise that we can actually try up until next August but if nothing has happened by then we stop TTC.

I'm on CD3 now, I usually ovulate around days 17/18 and have cycles of around 31/32 days.

thingymabob - I had a miscarriage in February (cycle 1) and it's been BFN every month ever since.

I've booked myself in for a few beauty treatments whilst DH is away, which he's paying for (!) so at least I have that to look forward to I suppose. It's just so disheartening. I feel like just calling TTC off as the disappointment each month is really starting to get to me now. Previously I've always managed to remain positive but this failed cycle has left me feeling completely flat

I think acu puncture might be a gooD plan writer. In my head ive decided that the day Af arrives I'm going to book either acupuncture or reflexology do I can feel like I'm doing something positive..... The number of people who swear by it is very encouraging. I have also got 3 nights out drinking planned this week so if by sone miracle I actually am pg I'm in trouble! !

Mother, I'm thinking the same. Can't decide which one. I think acupuncture has a better success rate but reflexology sounds right up my street.

I've done another 2 OPKs this evening and both negative. What's even more cruel is I've had this dull ache all day and some shooting pains in somewhere I can't even describe. Really have had enough of today and can't wait to go to bed.

I'm lying in bed now (with a heated blanket) and wishing my period would just make an appearance. I've had a bit of spotting this evening so I guess it will be here in the morning like clockwork

I did not find reflexology relaxing at all! So painful! Loooooove acupuncture and I'm going to have it throughout pregnancy.

Feeling a little more positive this morning, spotting has stopped and I did a frer and there is a good solid line. My ics are still super faint though so don't think I'm out of the woods yet

I'm confused with OPKs. They started getting darker but still negative over the last few days, then got one this morning which was equal to the control line. So I've put that as positive in my app but then went and did another one this afternoon and it's lighter. So either I caught the LH surge on the way down or shouldn't class the earlier one as a positive. I'm getting all other symptoms of being near ovulation though, EWCM, high open cervix and odd twingey crampy pains so I don't know. I'm running low on OPK sticks too so I feel like I need to ration them! Argh. I'm jealous of DH's role in all this, it's just DTG for him and no peeing in little tubs and agonising over lines!

I'm only 3dpo today so nothing to report. My temps are all over the place this cycle thanks to unsettled sleep but it does at least show a rise.

Captain was your urine on the second test today definitely concentrated enough? If you hadn't waited that long/had drank lots of water, that could explain why it was so faint?

Yeah maybe purple, perhaps it's still rising and I just need to watch that I'm not drinking heaps and diluting it.

I've got 2 OPKS sticks left for this cycle! Use one tonight or save them both for the next two days... decisions decisions

So we've tried DtG 3 times now and OH is unable to ejaculate. I'm pretty mortfied. I was prepared for a wait and all the other pitfalls along the way but not this...the most basic ingredient. Hes really upset about it too and we dont know why its happening -hes gonna try come off his meds (sertraline) to see if that helps. Needless to say I'm out this month! Will return to the bus if and when we get this sorted because until he can actually produce the goods we're f**ked! Hopefully wont see any of you on the next bus xxx

Just started using clear blue digital ovulation kit, no smiley face today but I hope to get one within the next week!

Trying not to get obsessed but as I am nearing 40, i feel like it's now or never. No pressure! Lol

Skipper, this is belated and you're probably not following this thread anymore but just wanted to say thanks for being such a positive force and trying to keep everyone's spirits up on this bus and the others. It must have taken a huge amount of effort and just wanted to say it hadn't gone unnoticed. Hang on in there xx

tiggi that's awesome. Maybe you're not as pregnant as you think you are.

Flapper he must be feeling the pressure. I definitely think you should keep him in the dark about the technical side and just let him enjoy the practice.

Ali my BBT thermometer must have properly broken as I can't find it. Will order one for next cycle. I've finally had a 2nd line on an OPK though, so maybe I will ovulate late. Will do another one later to see if it's darker. Starting to regret DTD last night now.

Age 28 (29 in nov)

Totally amazed as my first cycle post pill was a usual 28 days. Stared af on the day I would have if I was still having my withdrawal bleed. I am going to try not and over think this month and just dtg (been following since that discussion) regularly once af has vacated. I mentioned bbt taking to my oh and he has said lets try and just see what happens for a few months.

Flapper i think ttc is just as hard on the men than the woman just nobody mentions it.

Oops forgot to mention af due 29/30th October if I have a 28 day cycle again

I conceived really quickly after coming off the pill, so hopefully you will too.
Apparently I'm entering the fertile period now, so will be dtd as many days as time allows...Hard when we have teenage kids that go to bed at nearly the same time as you! Lol

Sorry to hear you are feeling low Writer , definitely make the most of your OH being away - lots of pampering, all of your favourite food & a few cheeky drinks. Not quite the same as DTD but nothing wrong with some self indulgence!

CD 27 (11 dpo).. BFN on IC. Don't feel like AF is due but not convinced I feel pregnant either.

MotherofUnicorns I feel exactly the same, loads of pms cramping although af is due Sunday.

Well my period hasn't arrived so on my drive home from work I had the great idea to go an HPT when I got home, just in case (kidding myself) but when I had a wee I forgot to collect some in my cup despite holding it in my hand

I have had such a long cycle i am totally dreading it when it does arrive - it is going to be MEGA PERIOD!!

I might try and squeeze out a few drops before bed and test. I have now told myself that the only reason I'm getting BFNs is because my batch of hpts are faulty!!
