Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Sorry Kwick to hear your news.

Still in limboland here. Test yesterday was bfn.

Just wondering out loud about health insurance and whether that covers fertility investigations/treatments/ivf.
Does anyone know?
Just thinking worst case scenario of being told I need ivf, we wouldn't get it on the nhs in our area as DH already has a daughter and I wonder if insurance would be the way to go to help pay for it.....

Pugmummy87 · 20/09/2016 22:36

Si1ver are you using the advancee monitor or the dual hormone one? I had 16 days of apparent 'high' fertility. Never got a peak. Sure that's not right. I wonder as it uses fmu if it missed the lh surge and just carried on saying I was high.
Mind you my body is a bit messed up lol.

Si1ver · 20/09/2016 22:47

The dual hormone one I think. I think it must measure LH if it's picking up a surge.

Si1ver · 20/09/2016 22:48

Oops clicked send too quickly. I'm sorry about the bfn pug fingers crossed for you.

FXSkip · 20/09/2016 22:49

That's exactly why I steered clear of the clear blue monitor. I just don't trust them. Or boobs. Or even sodding Ewan.

kwick I LOVE your PMA plan!! Here's mine (I'm going to have my own motivational speaking business soon - you'll see)
Step 1: stop bleeding
Step 2: ovulate at precisely the moment that DHs finest swimmers are casually kicking back up ole fanjo
Step 3: be pregnant.

By Ewan above I mean EWCM. It's clearly been so long that my predictive text has forgotten all about it Sad

sk1pper · 21/09/2016 07:10

Anyone watch the show?

I didn't find it massively useful or helpful. The only real thing I learnt is about MC, and how it can potentially be the sperms fault. Really wish they hadn't used a celebrity who had no conception issues. She was nice enough but I didn't really feel anything when she announced her pregnancy as she hadn't been struggling to conceive. She just thought she was too old.

Was hoping to learn some new tips or tricks...

AliceScarlett · 21/09/2016 07:22

Maybe I'll give it a miss then. AF cramps this morning, right on time. Probably not the best time for me to watch it. Roll on cycle 11.

My chart for cycle ten was abysmal however, both on the Ewan front and dtd, can't really expect to be diffed this month.

Sorry to hear that Alice, your not out yet though. I hope it's just embedding cramps :)

kwick · 21/09/2016 07:44

pug best to check your health plan but normally does not cover.
Sorry for BFN Flowers

Musicgrrl · 21/09/2016 08:04

Grrrr I'm annoyed this morning. Tracking signs has been a nightmare this month because of being ill but temps seem to have regulated now and, despite not having had a positive OPK, it looks like I ovulated on Monday. Frustrated because the lack of warning meant that our dtd was not optimally planned and next month is the month we're supposed to not try because of my best friends' weddings next July. We did dtd on Sunday so it's not out of the question but still, grrrrrrrrrr. Stupid OPKs!

Alice your dtd doesn't look bad to me!

Musicgrrl · 21/09/2016 08:06

kwick and FXskip I love your plans! We need more plans like those around here.

AliceScarlett · 21/09/2016 08:13

Aiming to dtd every other day though. Looking at that chart I just don't know, it suggests I ovd on cd 14 yet the jizz won't have been able to get up there because we didn't dtd on that one day. I don't know how people win at this.

HepKestrel · 21/09/2016 08:29

right my plan:

  1. have proper AF in 3 weeks time,
  2. be fit because I will be completely hooked on my c25k by then
  3. have lots of fun dtd
  4. pregnant by christmas Grin

sorted.

LondonJem · 21/09/2016 08:35

Ewan! Hope to see you next week! Am back on the EPO this month - why the hell not. Just mixing things up a bit crazy!

To add to the PMAs this is mine:
1 DH gets out of his four day Joburg next week which is right over my fertile days Envy
2 we enjoy loads of great sex with him in the same country as me
3 super strength sperm meet beautiful egg they fall in love and create our wonderful child arriving safely 40 weeks later

Sorry about bfn pug Flowers you are not out yet though fx fx fx

Did not watch whatsherchops fertility thing not sure I'll bother to be honest. I did listen to a really interesting radio four documentary on infertility yesterday though. Hearing three women talk and laugh about OPK, timed DTD, supplements, not weeing after sex, etc etc etc I could not stop internally nodding and mmmm hmmmmmm ing!

HepKestrel · 21/09/2016 08:49

tbh I fell asleep before the program !

Nicky883 · 21/09/2016 11:52

Great plans everyone :)
Thanks for the info londonjem i will let dh know:)
Did you get your results back ? Are they easy to undestand without booking another appoitment ?

Si1ver · 21/09/2016 12:20

Off the back of all the PMA here I've basically convinced myself that I'm getting knocked up this month after my proper clearblue digital ovulation tester non flashing smiley face and lots of sex.

This is going to end badly when AF arrives isnt it.

HepKestrel · 21/09/2016 12:30

Nonsense Silver this is just a test run for next month. With all this practice you don't need to stress about AF because you will be on fire for dtd next cycle ! its all good !

geeup · 21/09/2016 13:45

Oh London I'd like to listen to that on catch up. What programme was it or roughly what time if you're not sure. Don't think it was woman's hour from my downloads list?!

geeup · 21/09/2016 13:48

Ps my PMA plan is:

  1. Continue DTD just for "fun" until next fertility appointment at end of month
  2. Consultant scans me and discovers I'm upduffed during appointment*
  3. We all laugh and think what a funny story it will be to tell future PFB
  4. I have amazing healthy pregnancy and a baby pops out 9 mths later.
*Ps this actually happened to a friend when she went to get scanned for medication for her PCOS.
AliceScarlett · 21/09/2016 13:54

Ok I'll do one:

1, I see my GP next week and she does All The Tests
2,Tests reveal a very fixable problem, let's say low estrogen
3, I take a tablet everyday for a month
4, At the end of the month I get my BFP
5, Baby pops out 36 weeks later perfectly healthy

OP posts:
LondonJem · 21/09/2016 14:01

nicky there's not much interpretation, just a comparison of your number compared to what is considered 'normal' by WHO. You have to book an appointment to discuss next options or speak to your GP.

DH got his results back. They are all normal apart from slightly low morphology. I'm trying not to be too concerned about this as reading online morphology fluctuates from sample to sample and is somewhat subjective. He's a bit upset about it and has booked a GP appointment to discuss.

It was interesting really - he called me and said he had been "reading on some online forums" xyz and "what does bfp mean?".

I'm like - welcome to my world Hmm

LondonJem · 21/09/2016 14:06

geeup it was not woman's hour no. I don't think they talk about fertility enough! But then I am rather biased. I found it on the BBC iPlayer Radio app - the pink one. Go to Documentaries and it's called A family without a child

It's a bit sad though, none of them have yet had a baby, so only listen if you feel up to it.

HepKestrel · 21/09/2016 14:29

Jem its a whole new language !

I'm just waiting for the day i sneak ODFOD into an email reply .....
