Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Does he have to do it there ?;p

WingingIt83 · 20/09/2016 12:04

Anyone used the boots sperm check you can buy off the shelf? Very mixed reviews on boots website

LondonJem · 20/09/2016 12:10

Yep he has to go and do it there. There's another test on the website saying they sometimes look at cervical fluid after sex. I wonder if you have to go and actually have sex there??!!

I wouldn't trust those home testing kits personally. It could cause a lot of heartache and worry and might not even be reliable.

geeup · 20/09/2016 13:15

We did our SA tests at Create too. Husband didn't like the room he had to go in but otherwise it was fine. Got an email with the results later same day. Defo wouldn't trust the boots ones as don't tell you about morphology etc.

kwick · 20/09/2016 14:21

geeup work has been very accomodating thus far with treatments. My job is what it is - cannot really do it unless you travel. We are just about to acquire another company - hopefully something will come up with that.
I too have major scar across va-jay-jay - had a cyst and ovary removed over 20 years ago when I was 19. That SHOULD have been my wakeup call to get preggers IMMEDIATELY!!!

On my way to see new consultant at FC.

Nicky883 · 20/09/2016 15:27

We will probably use create fertility as well for sa . I was wonderinng if you can then take the results to nhs in case you need intervention ? Or they dont accept private tests ? We can definately not afford create fertility if there is an issue just planning to do sa and then hycosy (hsg) if sperm comes out ok .
Definately not watchinng that documentary tonight i would be just moaning to dh that we should have staryed ttc right after the wedding ( i was 25!)
Good luck kwick

geeup · 20/09/2016 16:14

Kwick - I see. That sounds tough but as you say, great they have been supportive so far. Good luck with appt today!

geeup · 20/09/2016 16:15

Nicky - yes we took SAs to NHS consultant and he used them. Defo saved time.

AliceScarlett · 20/09/2016 16:26

Has the programme already been on? What channel is it on?

WingingIt83 · 20/09/2016 17:15

I think it's tonight on bbc?

HepKestrel · 20/09/2016 17:22

10:30 ? unless you are talking about another program.

sk1pper · 20/09/2016 17:40

BBC1 I think, I saw it advertised in the metro earlier. I'm worried it's going to send me into a blind panic but will probably watch all the same.

Thank you for all your comments btw, I have read them just been on a work trip and I'm a bit behind. OH and I have decided to relax on these two cycles, I'm still going to temp and OPK because I need the info for my next GP meeting. But we're not using contraception. If I somehow conceive it will be an absolute miracle and I'll accept it.

AliceScarlett · 20/09/2016 18:24

Ok, I'll torture myself and watch it.
AF due in two days, my bodies being hilarious and presenting me with no spotting or cramps, just as I was ready for All The Symptoms. It's crafty.

LondonJem · 20/09/2016 18:37

Hmm they said SA results emailed same day but we have had no email Envy looks like going to have to wait until tomorrow

Don't think I'll watch it tonight as it will just make me resentful and mean to DH, and he's having to await test results. Will record it for another evening!

Fx for you alice! Hang in there.

DogMadDaisy · 20/09/2016 19:03

kwick - good luck at the fc. i hope you find a balance that works for you re work.

It was DH's choice to delay TTC by 6 months and i'm terrible at bringing that up every time i get a BFN so think it's best i avoid that tv programme for the sake of my marriage!

Nicky883 · 20/09/2016 19:10

Londonjem probably a bit of a tmi but do they just point them in a room with a cup and some magazines ? ;p

LondonJem · 20/09/2016 19:11

Totally sympathise daisy I've been trying to work on letting go of resentment towards DH for making me wait as we are where we are now and feeling resentful doesn't help anyone. He waited 8 years to propose and then we waited a year after getting married to start trying - all on his terms. I'm 32 so I don't feel like we've left it too late, but I would quite happily have started trying 4-5 years ago. He assumed it would happen right away, despite me saying repeatedly that it might not.

I'm already thinking he doesn't get to decide how long we wait to try for number two!

kwick · 20/09/2016 20:26

I really cannot stand the lady on the fertility program but I will watch anyway! But maybe on iplayer as I need an early night.

So saw consultant & have a plan!

  1. Will have tube tested by way of a hycosy
  2. Will proceed with natural IUI
  3. 9 months later will give birth to lovely baby

Skin is still very itchy - am now on cortizone cream... Have switched to Ecover washing powder (was going to anyway - have just speeded up process), if no improvement overnight will try and get GP appt.

jem Angry so frustrating when people do not do what they say they will!!!

bluebird3 · 20/09/2016 20:37

When my DH did the SA there were porn mags that were laminated...I guess so they can be cleaned between uses. Confused

HepKestrel · 20/09/2016 20:47

Good plan kwick Grin

LondonJem · 20/09/2016 21:20

Nicky just seen your post, not tmi at all. He was given a pot and sent to a room! Porn mag and on a tv. You hand in your sample and go. They email the results to you, £95 spent!

If there's a problem it's up to you if you want to book another appointment (and pay) to talk next steps or take the results to your GP

LondonJem · 20/09/2016 21:20

Great plan kwick Star

sk1pper · 20/09/2016 21:21

Kwick - lovely, lovely plan :)

kwick · 20/09/2016 21:42

Shock bluebird!!!

Extreme spotiness and itching means extrene measures:

  • have put zinc oxide tape on mega spot on chin... Hope I have landed on miracle spot cure
  • am also trying tape on one area under boobage
  • rest of itchiness covered in calamine lotion

Dr Google reckons I have hives...

Si1ver · 20/09/2016 22:00

Fab plan Kwick

My clearblue digital ovulation tester came up with peak fertility face today, so managed to DTD despite my poor husband feeling crappy after having a seizure yesterday, poor love. However when I took the test strip out of the machine the lines on it looked exactly the same as yesterday when was just high fertility. What exactly does this thing measure? I'm starting to convince myself that it just automatically goes to peak after X number of days at high.
