Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Ahh thanks for adding me back onto the end of the list :)

OH and I had...a moment just now. We were sat out in the garden and two doors down have a couple of kids, no older than 5 or 6. We've never seen the little girl but she sounds adorable, always making up little stories and singing to herself. I'm used to hearing her play as I spend a lot of my weekends in the garden but OH doesnt and I thought for a second he was going to cry. He saw me looking at him though, smiled and went indoors. He's now sat upstairs playing video games.

Im so used to him being the patient, laid back one that it has really shocked me. I wish he would talk to me about it if he's finding it tough :(

Mooseville · 11/09/2016 16:29

Oh hep that sounds awful. I think you deserve at least a few days off, or are you able to work from home and just wiggle your mouse and answer a couple of emails without it being too stressful a day?

Saturday didn't go so well here. DP unable to finish again Sad However we have have had lots of talking about it and he's actually sat and listened to explanations about ovulation and why the fertile week is essential to DTD more. Positive OPK this afternoon and he's on board for trying again tonight, so hopefully we might have a better errr finale... Lol
I'm on the bus for the 23rd please. Providing we get some pesky swimmers up there tonight/tomorrow!!

bluebird3 · 11/09/2016 17:32

So sorry hep. Seems really unfair you have to go through all of that on top of the disappointment of mc.

Can you put me down for the 11th of October, please? I've crashed out today. :(

kwick · 11/09/2016 17:40

hep physically it took about 5 days to get over the op, longer to get over the allergic reaction I had to the anti mrsa wash and even longer to get better emotionally - where nearly 5 months later I still ocassionally wobble.

moose LSFX Grin

Sorry bluebird Flowers

Look what we grew!!!!

LSFX moose !

Marmite I think it's taken DH a few days to realise a faint line is still a line!

Sk1pper we've been trying for over a year, about 16 cycles I think?

Hep really sorry to hear things are getting dragged out. You seem to be so strong in how you're handling things, look after yourself.

Bluebird sorry you're out. Wine

Kwick awesome veggies!

HepKestrel · 11/09/2016 18:56

lovely 16 cycles? extra congratulations !

and thanks, at the moment I am curled up on sofa drinking a nice chilled glass of Reisling (my first Wine in 2 months), listening to GrumpyOldCat sneeze (long standing health issue), while OH is cooking us a nice roast chicken (my favourite meal - GrumpyOldCat may get a teeny peace).

I am sure I will have more wobbles, but for now I am chilling and sorting out practicalities.

my practicalities for tomorrow is whether I will clean the bathroom before or after playing on the xbox...

LondonJem · 11/09/2016 19:43

Chilled reisling and roast chicken sounds yum hep enjoy

Fishy you give me hope, thrilled it has finally happened for you

Great crop kwick!

kavanaughkj · 11/09/2016 20:46

I'm missing out on kwick cake ... took a FRER this morning cuz I am impatient. BFN.

The gorilla at the top of the page seems apt.

Not out yet but I'd be amazed were I 'in'.

Hugs to you hep. Nice haul, kwick!

Mooseville · 12/09/2016 07:23

Morning all!!
Successful DTD last night on day of positive OPK so all is not lost this month! Going to try again tonight.
Honestly though, I know DP was obviously made up he'd managed to finish on a day that counted (when I've actually told him about it! Wink) but afterwards he started counting forward to "oooh it'll be born next June" I mean, really mate. After all our conversations in the last few months, and particuarly over this weekend, you still think that's going to be it????!Confused I supposed I should be pleased he's more enthusiastic at least!! Lol Hopefully his mental mind block is shifting....

LondonJem · 12/09/2016 08:28

Not out yet kav, fingers crossed

Hurrah moose nice work! Bless him counting forward. I hope he's right.

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 08:33

yey moose!

my OH also made the comment that its possible we will have a baby in July!

suspect its starting for me. some brown spotting..... not much, but the most i've had in over 3 months.

fx for you kav

kwick are those cherry tomatoes? we have lots of green tomatoes, but they are struggling to ripen Sad

FXSkip · 12/09/2016 10:16

Kav and moose fingers crossed for you both. Hep how are you getting on? (obviously will understand if you take some time off MN) Thinking of you today. Green tomatoes make great chutneys btw...

I have still got no idea what my body is doing, poor old Ovia doesn't know what to make of my 40 day cycle, she also counts my pregnancy as a 79 day cycle, so thinks I wont be due AF for another 2 weeks. I guess anything goes after an mc. Really want to get pregnant as soon as possible before mil goes, would love for her to know she has a grandchild on the way at least.

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 10:35

fxskip

i'm doing ok. cramping much more milder today, so don't know if mc is imminent, or it is effects of the drugs on saturday wearing off. Just wanting this to be over and done with. As with everything ttc related, its the waiting that I hate ! Am having lazy day (still in pjs!).

So have you had one AF since your mc? I hope you don't mind Blush, but I am very curious/rudely-nosey how your cycle is getting back to normal (kwick too)! I am assuming it could be similar to coming off the pill? as in it could take a few months? There is anecdotal evidence of women having a fertility boost after a mc.

I am still on mn, as it helps me (everyone is different) to talk about it, especially as I have no one except OH in rl. OH is good, but still a little odd trying to explain the colour of stuff coming out your womble to him!

have set my automatic (bugger-off) email reply on. and am not leaving the house.

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 10:36

fxskip are you opk-ing again?

kavanaughkj · 12/09/2016 11:23

Heya folks - I'm out, right on schedule. This was a 27 day cycle which seems to be my new normal.

I am never getting excited about spotting ever again - that makes three times it's happened now that I've not been pg.

Feeling philosophical tbh. At least I have more of a chance of being able to get full maternity leave now - though I wasn't nearly so calm first thing; my first thought could be neatly summed up as 'Fuck you, body'.

Heigh ho. Onwards to cycle...what, 10, I think? Never thought it would take this long. :(

Moose, glad to hear DH is climbing on board, so to speak Grin

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 11:26

Flowers kav

FXSkip · 12/09/2016 12:21

Kav I'm sorry. My initial response to your post was 'ffs' so I can well imagine how you're feeling.

Hep damn straight have a lazy day. Have as many as you want right now. I have been spotting brown now for 3 weeks, no official AF. I am not POAS (thats any sticks) as I never quite got a bfn after mc and I can't face getting my hopes up.

sk1pper · 12/09/2016 12:50

Lovely - you give me such hope, congrats again, very happy for you!

Moose - glad you managed to get a well timed DTD session in. A positive OPK means you will ovulate in the next 24 hours right?

Fxskip - why does it take the body a while to normalise after MC? I'm sorry I'm conscious this is a very personal question but I guess it's something to do with hormones. I hope things start to make sense for you soon

Hep - thinking of you as always, what are you playing on Xbox?

Mooseville · 12/09/2016 12:57

skipper I think so! The ladies on here are prob more clues up than me. I think it means within the next 12-48hours as its just the hormone surge before conception that it catches? I may be wrong!

hep glad to hear you're having as relaxing day as you can. Enjoy the Xbox!

kav sorry for AF - FlowersCakeChocolateWine

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 13:02

fxskip fair enough ! If you don't trust them, there is no point. Hope it stops properly (or AF appears properly) for you.

sk1p haven't got to the xbox yet. but I but down tombraider about 6 months ago, so i should try to finish it !

Guess what delightful letter I received today !
.....Invitation for a cervical smear.

Well they can fuck right off ! (for now. )

I still remember the last one. She let go of the metal wotsit thing, so it twisted 90deg, and I had to catch it myself before it sprang open horizontally. That was especially fun.

no cramping at all now.

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 13:04

moose yes, you should ovulate at somepoint in the next 48 hrs. So you have high fertility for the next 72 hrs. LSFX !!! get your best sexy on ! A little Barry White, some nice wine Grin

sk1pper · 12/09/2016 13:28

Barry White? Omg, I now know where I've been going wrong all these cycles Grin.

Smear tests.... This two words make me quite literally shudder. A little insensitive they sent you an invitation but I guess it's all automated and such, just one of those things.

Si1ver · 12/09/2016 13:39

Congratulations fishy I'm so pleased for you.

It sounds like you've been have a horrible time Hep I hope things are resolved and back to normal soon. This must be so awful for you.

Sorry to hear you're out kav onward for the next cycle.

Thanks to everyone who was so nice to me. I'm not coping terribly well with the whole ttc thing (no shit, really?). We've bought a clearblue digital ovulation tester for next month, as I can never tell from OPKS what's going on. I suppose I'll know one way or the other if I'm ovulating or not and then I can go and see the doctor.

Can you add me back to the list for 1st October? It seems like a very long way away.

HepKestrel · 12/09/2016 13:50

si1ver I will be going back to my clearblue tester when this is over. hopefully you won't need to buy another, but search on amazon and you can keep the cost down. Look after yourself. And treat/pamper yourself. ttc is not easy.

kav whens you next bus ticket?

i'm thinking I am going to keep down my caffeine intake. I am not really missing it. And this way I can cut down further next time without the dreaded caffeine head ache.
