Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Fabulous line fishy! Hurrah!!! Congrats lovely SmileFlowersStar

Have you had any signs or symptoms? Did you do anything different this cycle?

WingingIt83 · 10/09/2016 09:53

Congratulations fishy! Let's hope this is the start of another run of bfps!

So sorry hep, I know it's what you expected but still difficult to deal with when confirmed in front of you

Nicky883 · 10/09/2016 10:21

Congratulations fishy !!! You must be over the moon i know you started looking into why it took so long maybe sometimes it just does !! And thats a very clear line!! Very happy for you Smile

LovelyFishy · 10/09/2016 10:43

Teehee, scone. I meant second!

Nothing different this month except not following any of the rules! I've not taken folic acid in about 2 weeks and I've had 2-3 drinks a week (including night before last, whoops!).

Only symptoms are sore boobs but normal pre-AF sign for me. I've also slept badly the last 5 nights but again these things just happen sometimes right?

Thank you everyone, it doesn't seem real yet! Grin

Damson9 · 10/09/2016 11:08

Just catching up after being at a wedding yesterday. Hep I am so sorry it wasn't good news, I was wishing and hoping for you. As all others have said hope you are being very kind to yourself, new earrings and necklace sound like a good start! Let your DH look after you and take it easy. FlowersFlowers

Ohmygoodness Lovely that is a blooming fanatic second line!!! Massive congratulations, so happy for you!! Star how are you feeling has it sunk in at all?! What did your DH say? About time we had another BFP too. LSFX for the rest in tww!! Wink

Lovely - I admit I'm too lazy to go back through the thread as I'm on mobile, how long had you been trying for again? Gah, so happy for you xx

kwick · 11/09/2016 08:05

lovelyfishy congratulations!!!!! That is defo a second line!!!! StarStarStar

HepKestrel · 11/09/2016 09:03

Congratulations fishy!!! Really glad of the good news this morning! Feel free to stay on this thread as long as you need to.

Now take your folic acid and vit d!

Well yesterday was fun-not.

12hrs in hospital (stuck in one room) 3 doses of the medicine, zero blood but horrendous diarea ( how do you spell?) Instead.

Surgery booked for Friday.

Today I feel shaky and knackered, as if I have just had a bout of food poisoning.

FXSkip · 11/09/2016 09:08

Oh no hep that's terrible. It's Sod's law isn't it, no matter what you do its just shit. The shakiness and feeling weak is normal unfortunately for these tablets - now you have to wait all week? I feel awful for you xx

HepKestrel · 11/09/2016 09:23

Thanks skip Yes Friday is the earliest available. The medical management was worth a shot, as if I went for the surgery straight away the earliest it could have been was Thursday.

Doc asked if I wanted to try the medical again..... Errr no! I may have given him my best death stare at this point!

Gonna take tomorrow off sick and play the rest of the week by ear. Since everyone I work with is on this work trip, I can work from home easily.

miwelaisjacydo · 11/09/2016 11:43

Hi everyone been off the thread for a while.....fishy congratulations hope it's sunk in now 😀

Hep that sounds horrible.

kwick · 11/09/2016 11:55

That is crap hep sounds awful. Take it easy and be kind to yourself.

sk1pper · 11/09/2016 12:03

Hep - you should take next week off too. Even if the sickness passes you need time off for yourself emotionally. Is it worth you speaking to HR or something so you can explain the proper reason for your abscence (though I know it will be tough to talk about it - but I'm sure they won't pry). Most companies would be really sympathetic to it. Xx

HepKestrel · 11/09/2016 12:30

No, I don't need to speak to hr .... I can sign myself off a week, and my bosses on the department will be fine about it.

I can't afford to let them know I am ttc

FXSkip · 11/09/2016 12:58

No hep I was in the same boat and I explained my absence as attending hospital for routine procedure and if my manager dared ask I said it was 'women's problems' at which point my inner feminist withered and died but at least I felt I wouldn't be overlooked for promotion because of ttc. Take as much time as you can, even if working from home and do whatever you feel like doing/eating/saying right now xxx

HepKestrel · 11/09/2016 13:51

kwick did you need much time off work after your surgery? Thinking I may try to avoid meetings on the following Monday just in case

AlexiaB · 11/09/2016 14:09

Hep that sounds truly awful. I'm sorry you have to wait to have the surgery. Take it easy Flowers

LondonJem · 11/09/2016 14:22

Hep sorry you have to wait for this, I'm really quite taken aback to be honest, I would have thought they would not leave people in limbo like that. Shows how much I know I guess. Take care of yourself, it sounds like you have a lovely caring partner who will take care of you too. FlowersFlowersFlowers

HepKestrel · 11/09/2016 14:46

thanks all.... i am having cramps, and dizzy spells, so perhaps i won't need the surgery... Am staying close to home. Have sent OH out to get some more hand soap for the bathroom..... not something i want to run out of now.... but enough about me.
