Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

You can do this Hep. You are clearly strong, I'd be a mess.

Jem I'm with you with not knowing how bad my pmt was before ttc.

I'm learning lots about hormones! lovely maybe there is a med that brings the hormone down then bam, BFP!

I've just had the most surreal conversation with DH. A few months ago I said I'd reached a new low and bought pipettes from Amazon. We've never mentioned it since, then this afternoon he says he has really been thinking about how he wants a baby and he's not willing to let his pride (being a manly man and dtd everyday) get in the way, so, do I just want jizz every day either in a cup or the normal way? Shock I wasn't entirely sure what to say so just went into polite mode and said yes thank you very much, how kind, etc. Lol. He's practical if nothing else.
I'm now going to research the artificial insemination method.

When will you find out kwick? Everything crossed

AliceScarlett · 07/09/2016 19:19

Kwick! How long now? Is avoiding constipation so that you don't, like, push it away from the walls? Did you try Turkey baster before ivf? Sorry for all the questions.

We should all be on ttc leave. It's like maternity leave but much more boring.

Wow Alice Definitely worth a try if he's offering??! Might also take the pressure off and help him perform by thinking there's another round it too?!

kwick · 07/09/2016 19:54

alice you need to get the jizz/magic potion as high up as poss and if you can direct to "side" you ovulated on so much the better. What an accomodating DH you have!
I did to IUI 5 times b4 IVF - a bit more sophisticated than turkey baster approach... However I think if you get jizz/magic potion more often then probs more likely to be succesful than IUI - where it is just one "basting"... Capische? Wink

OTD for moi is 18 September... Yes thats right FRICKING ages away yet!!! I did "test out" my HCG ovulation trigger so I can try testing earlier without fear it really is a false positive.

I LOVE the idea of TWW leave!!! But only if at full pay!!!

Nicky883 · 07/09/2016 20:03

I tried mooncup for period and it was horrible so difficult to take it out!

AliceScarlett · 07/09/2016 20:04

Gotcha Kwick, although I have no idea what side I ovulate on. I've bought soft cups www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Ddrugstore&field-keywords=Soft+cup I'm going to pipette the jizz into the cup and it can damn well sit on my cervix for a good few hours. Half of me is thinking has it really come to this? Half of me is actually quite hopeful this could increase our chances.

That's one long TWW... I'd want to be sedated.

Moose get your DH on board!

Hang on in there Hep you've done so well so far. Have been thinking of you. Also agree with what others have said, hope you can lay the groundwork to get out of the work trip. Put yourself first Flowers

Sounds like a potentially promising new development Alice! and you never know maybe it'll be enough of the pressure off that he doesn't actually need to go down that route and you'll suddenly be getting plenty of jizz dtd-ing! Either way you have an exciting new strategy!

Yikes Kwick that is still a bit of a wait!

I had my booking-in appointment with the midwife yesterday which was basically like being bombarded with questions and then giving bloods and pee. Just waiting to find out if I'm anaemic which would explain the fainting. On the one hand it would be a good excuse to eat lots of lovely steak, on the other hand, what's the point when it must be cooked well done and can't be accompanied by a glass of WineHmm

Hope everyone else is ok seems like quite a few of you are in the tww. Hope everyone is watching bake off and has a nice treat to go with it! Cake

HepKestrel · 07/09/2016 20:23

Thanks everyone. My wobble was after asking a colleague to do a favour for me at the work trip if I was unable to go for a medical reason. I think he panicked that I had a serious illness!

So all I need to do on Friday will be to email a few people I would be meeting next week and try to cancel hotel.

Thanks kwick I had a little research, and if the surgical gets me back on the ttc-horse faster. The thought of a natural/medical miscarriage scares me.

purpleladybird · 07/09/2016 20:55

Hep Flowers I've been thinking of you lots.

Skip that really is insensitive and I'm sorry you're going through such a tough time.

Kwik I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we have everything (other than our legs) crossed.

Hi ladies. I'm on a bit of a TTC break at the moment. OH isn't as into it as I had hoped so I think we probably need to come back to it in a few months. I was out last month before the TWW had even started, so there wasn't really a wait at all. But I'll still be lurking as I want to keep a track of my cycles so at least I have some sense of what's going on. And I'm rooting for you all.

sk1pper · 07/09/2016 21:09

Alice - that mooncup idea is genius, and that convo with your DH isn't strange in this small circle. I love how practical couples get when things are tough, i just think it shows how strong you are as a couple. Tackling the problem like proffessionals. :)

Hep - I joined the thread too late and missed completely what you are going through. Massive hugs, don't know what to say to be honest... Except stay strong, we're all here for you xx

LondonJem · 07/09/2016 21:35

Absolutely what skipper said - approaching it like professionals alice It's takes balls for your oh to step up and suggest this, good on him.

Hello purple hope the break does you both good and gets you in the right head space.

WingingIt83 · 07/09/2016 23:02

Just checking in again, I hardly seem to get time to post these days. Sorry to those who've not had good news, we seem to be having a bfp drought at the moment.

I was quite snuggly getting through the tww with very little thoughts of 'am I aren't i' with AF due on Saturday. Upped my vit b complex and diligently eating walnuts. Then bam, tonight the witch gives me a wave. ..making this cycle a measly 25 days, what use is that.
I was so much happier that DH and I had managed to dtd much more in FW but what's the use with luteal barely 10 days.

Def think I'm going to get back on the testing wagon so I've got evidence for when I visit the gp.

In the meantime what can people tell me about vitex /agnus castus? Should I try it

kwick · 08/09/2016 06:37

LOL purple Grin yes please keep those legs spread Wink

wing Flowers

purpleladybird · 08/09/2016 06:39

kwik Smile We have our legs spread and fingers crossed!

Mooseville · 08/09/2016 08:05

Wednesday night DTD success. Part 1 of the mind games has worked! Lol
That's CD 10. No sniff of a positive on the OPK though - mind you I only tested after work and I had drank quite a lot during the day. I don't know how diluted that was!

Right, next stop Friday. Hopefully that should be ok, as we are creatures of habit and a Friday night shag is a frequent occurance for us! Lol

Thinking of you hep Flowers

Alice I'm let you Guinea Pig and watching with nervous anticipation! I'd not even thought of it tbh. I'm not sure how he'd take it???! Confused

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 08:20

Legs Spread and Fingers Crossed - LSFX SmileGrinWink

Sorry wing FlowersFlowers I would definitely go to my GP about this.

Hurrah moose! Long may this continue.

7 DPO today and so over the TWW Envy will be knicker checking for any IB but to be honest I don't imagine it's going to happen for a second. Beaten down by 9 cycles of pain!

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 09:30

LSFX Grin i like it !

FXSkip · 08/09/2016 09:37

Morning all, thanks everyone for your kind words - so much for my RL friends lol! Knew you guys would understand.

kwick Fingers properly crossed for you love, and hep too. The nurse tried to convince me to go for the surgical too, but when I pressed her she said that there was increased risk of mc in future, due to potential scar tissue, and the body takes longer to heal so with D&C they recommend waiting a full cycle (or more if there were complications). With medical/natural they still recommend waiting, but only to make dating easier apparently. Some people bleed for 6 weeks+ with the D&C anyway, sometimes you can be done with bleeding in 2 days with the medical. Sometimes you need a D&C anyway with the medical, there is basically no way to know how your body is going to respond. No matter which decision you make you can't really regret it, because you don't know how it would have been with any of the other options.

Still, although its not a bad idea to have done some research in advance, you can still have PMA!

Same for you London - I prescribe PMA to you too.

purpleladybird · 08/09/2016 09:39

LSFX Grin If I find I've started a new MN acronym I will feel I have made it in life.

Mooseville · 08/09/2016 09:50

LSFX!!! Definitely the new thread mantra!

sk1pper · 08/09/2016 09:59

Moose are you doing SMEP?

AliceScarlett · 08/09/2016 10:00

LSFX! Love it.

Moose DH wasn't in the mood last night, so he jazzed in a cup and I pipetted it where it needed to go... It was weird, but means to an end! We made a joke out of it and it was quite amusing. You never know your DH might think it is a easier solution?!
