Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

The knicker checking doesn't stop unfortunately I'm still obsessed with looking for blood every time I pee Hmm

How are you feeling today Hep? CakeBrew

Sorry I missed your post last night Skip those photos sound rather OTT and not what you need right now. Hope you're ok Flowers

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 10:34

marmite better. And yes i am still knicker checking !
think i had some minor twinges last night.... but no sign of anything.

fx for you Alice ! i think we are all curious to see if it works ! I can't say the idea of moon cup appeals to me.... But OH will be much more on board with opk tracking and knowing when i ovulate.

fishy how are you getting on ?

WingingIt83 · 08/09/2016 10:44

Good work Alice and moose!

DH now seems fired up and keen to keep the momentum going like last month which is good. I think the fact that I appear to be the problem in the first instance is sitting better with him!

Mooseville · 08/09/2016 11:47

I'm eagerly awaiting the results Alice

No SMEP here - I'm just attempting every other day over FW - tbh this is the most we've had for the last couple of months, so it's a step in the right direction, as long as he managed to get those swimmers out!

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 12:07

Purple legitimately new mn acronym Grin trademarked 2016 Wink

Nice work Alice it sounds like it takes a lot of unnecessary stress of forced DTD away

Marmite if I could just get a hint a tiny peek a whisper of a bfp I would happily spend all day staring at my knickers! Appreciate the fear of mc must be scary though not to take away from that at all

purpleladybird · 08/09/2016 12:52

Jem that's it - if a MN acronym doesn't qualify me to be a mother I don't know what could Wink

WingingIt83 · 08/09/2016 13:22

I'm reading up on EPO and agnus castus and getting really confused -what should I take and up until when? Lots of conflicting advice on Internet.

Was all geared up to phone gp but they are closed on Thursday afternoons typically!

AlexiaB · 08/09/2016 13:25

wing - I take EPO cd1-ovulation (never after ovulation, so be careful). Vitex you can take all cycle long (I do) and some people even take it through the first trimester, too.

AlexiaB · 08/09/2016 13:31

There's been so much chat I can't keep up!

Alice so interested to see if it works! I'm way too scared to put anything up there though, I can't even check my cervix. You're brave!

Kwick LSFX!!! (*purple I love thisGrin)

Hep thinking of youFlowers

moose well done on getting more jizz!

Jem LSFX for you!

I know I've missed loads, sorry! I'm still in ovulation limbo-land because opks hate me and I'm still waiting for FF crosshairs. Hope you're all having a not-too-awful day Flowers

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 13:50

hmmm..... i'm usually dubious about extra vitamins and supplements. had a quick look at scientific papers, and there might be something to vitex.... If others no good link to evidence based reports, i would be very curious !

I might try it (after first normal AF). I didn't get on with epo. And certainly not with those vitamin combinations that include iron.

I will stick to just folic acid+D as my default vitamins.

LondonJem · 08/09/2016 13:52

kwick what do you think about outdoor swimming in the TWW? I'm 7 DPO today and desperate for a swim in the outdoor, but worried about how much it lowers my body temperature. It is pretty nippy, and if something has fertilised then it would be trying to implant about now.

kwick · 08/09/2016 15:14

moose good work girlfriend!!

LSFX!!!! Love it!!!

fxskip you got so much more info than I did. The consultant who confirmed the MC basically listed the options with no explanations and told me to decide. Incidentally she is the same consultant who did my egg collection and transfer this time... I was not happy about this but have this crazy thought that as she "took away" she will now give back... Yes it is official kwick is crazy!!!!

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 15:18

fxskip, kwick thanks both..... i'm a little undecided.... did you have this conversation at the ultrasound appointment? or did they make you come back for another appointment?

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 15:19

Also how soon after the MC was confirmed did you have either the surgical or medical treatment?

kwick · 08/09/2016 15:25

What the hell is Vitex? thought I had read up on every poss supplement

jem my clinic says no swimming or baths during 2ww due to risk of infection and if bfp up to 12 week mark. But this may be due to fanjo/womble interference which occurs as part of the procedureConfused

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 15:33

vitex might be another name for agnus-castus?

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 15:34

kwick i think that advice must be due to womble interference. NHS suggest swimming as healthy exercise throughout pregnancy.

WingingIt83 · 08/09/2016 15:37

hep yes vitex is agnus castus

More ttc mad thoughts today. With AF being early I was not prepared on the tampax front so had to so shopping, and momentarily considered buying a job lot years supply off ebay because surely I'll then get pregnant straight away?!!

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 15:40

wingingit I had many a trip to boots buying tampons and pregnancy tests at the same time!! figured I would need one or the other !

AliceScarlett · 08/09/2016 15:45

winging I'm similar. DH and I are going to book a 2 week cruise for next summer. I'm looking forward to ruining it by being pregnant Grin

Jem Life is too short to not be able to swim in the TWW. Ttc takes over life enough. IMO.

I have not found an evidence base for vitex in terms of increasing fertility, it can regularise cycles, a bit, sometimes, but I'm dubious. I wouldn't waste the money. But then I'm a cynic.

OP posts:
FXSkip · 08/09/2016 16:07

Hep I had a private scan, so I then had to go and have a second scan with NHS for confirmation. After the confirmation scan we sat down and discussed options, gave a swab for chlamydia (routine, and negative I hasten to add) and a blood test, also routine, to ensure that pregnancy had not made me anaemic and so they'd know what blood group I was if I collapsed. I didn't. I signed all the release papers and came in the next morning to eat the tablets.

Kwick She really tried to convince me to have D&C and I was suspicious so I pressed her for the stats. I love a stat. My initial response to wild swimming was to say go for it, as we all know I like to ignore ALL advice about early PG. However, chinese medicine dictates keeping your feet and head warm whilst on your period to alleviate symptoms, and in early stages of pregnancy. Having said that, I am reliably informed that women in countries where it is culturally the norm to take ice baths do not stop when they are pregnant. There appears to be little evidence to support danger to implanting egg.

FXSkip · 08/09/2016 16:10

wingingit I'm going to put all my money into Always shares - that oughtta do it.

sk1pper · 08/09/2016 16:40

Wow such an active thread :) this is nice, I'm jealous of you guys who are trying or in 2ww. AF is boring.

Though, second day of period and decided to use tampons for the first time. Especially as we had an event day at work, think gladiators crossed with total wipeout. Thanks to this super absorbent tampon I was doing somersaults over inflatables, tackling a guy twice my weight in human table football, and more. I text OH to tell him about how great it was and I think he thought it was all TMI. But it's the first time in a while I haven't been completed disabled by the witch. So happy :)

miwelaisjacydo · 08/09/2016 17:38

Hi hope we are all good here

HepKestrel · 08/09/2016 17:45

are you feeling better miw ?
