Can't believe we've filled that thread, hope you all find this one!

Ali - so uncomfortable isn't it?! But I like that I can feel it happening, gives me a bit of warning at least. Yeah, I'm expecting I'll ov Thursday/Friday now which would work out much better than Saturday so fingers crossed.

Hi Blossom, I'm 3dpo and frantically circling my hips at every opportunity like a nutter!

Typical for different people within the NHS to have different views!

Is the NHS one still at around 11 weeks or is it earlier now?

Definitely be hopeful and assume it will go to plan. The odds are in your favour.

Thanks Blossom, and yes will definitely keep u all updated re gender etc.

The EPU should definitely see you, especially with referral from your GP! Plus you did have a bleeding scare, that combined with anxiety and previous MC should be more than enough for them to see you! My first pg I was seen by the EPU at 5w5days because I had some left sided pain!

Definitely remain positive.. try and focus on your blood results etc and remain optimistic. I know easier said than done. We will all hold onto hope for you!

rider1975 · 03/09/2016 16:47

Hey ladies - Blossom I agree with Bee. Or drama it up a bit with some anguish.
For my first MC, I paid for a private scan at 7-8 weeks. It is worth it if NHS dig their heels in.
Jamaica is lovely and hot. Unfortunately had a drunk all nighter couple of nights ago - but fortunately not getting back on the ttc until October. I enjoyed it so what the hell Grin
Thanks - it's great to recognise my cycle again. Only worry is how light it is. Don't really know if I should be concerned. I'm thinking of going back slowly onto my supplements after this cycle - starting with a lower dosage of maca - I really loved that stuff.
Have a great weekend everyone x

thatsnotmybear · 03/09/2016 18:38

Well done Rider - drunken all nighter sounds excellent Grin

I wouldn't worry too much about light AF - mine was really light after I came off the pill. I convinced myself it meant my womb lining was too thin to sustain a pg & worried myself silly about it, right up until I fell pg! It wasn't an issue at all.

Bee1234 · 03/09/2016 19:37

Glad you're having fun Rider! You deserve it! My period was also light after my mc, I don't think it's anything to worry about at all! Supplements are a good idea.. I never stopped taking my ones!

Bee1234 · 03/09/2016 19:46

Also bottom... sorry, I think I got my post confused with Mcbaby regarding the bleeding scare! But I still stand by that they should see you at the EPU for a "reassurance scan" due to anxiety and previous mc! I didn't know they did nuchal that early either, Wow! I'm having mine done at 12 weeks which is combined with the genetic and gender testing I had done privately! They do a scan at 10 weeks also, could be worth you looking into it if you are considering private scans. It's called the Harmony test.

Bee1234 · 03/09/2016 20:20

Ah that could be it then, miscommunication! Hopefully on Monday you will get an answer then!

With the harmony test they take a blood sample to send off to the USA which can test chromosomes in the DNA in turn giving results for likelihood of downs etc and then they combine this was the NT to give a more accurate result. I did mine at the fetal medical Centre on Harley street.. There is more info on their website if you want to look into it more :)

jinglebellmel · 03/09/2016 21:20

Ladies do you think you can concieve with thrush, or does it create a 'hostile' environment? Think I'm 1dpo and have been having very mild thrush type symptoms for about 3 days. I never get thrush, think I've had it once in my life, so annoying!

OP posts:
Alibaba2 · 03/09/2016 21:51

I think you'll be fine Mel, especially as it's very mild. It's more external isn't it than near the cervix?

jinglebellmel · 03/09/2016 21:56

Thanks Ali, seems v mild so I hope you're right. Don't generally suffer so wasn't sure if it would have any effect. Hope your tww is going quickly!

Thebean123 · 04/09/2016 08:10

Hi mel....this may be completely unhelpful but I had very mild thrush symptoms when I conceived. I didn't think anything of it as I too had only ever had it once before (after a long time on antibiotics for lung infection). Well anyway fast forward a week and it was still lingering....that coupled with my other symptoms led me to testing and I was pregnant. Dr said it was the surge and change in my hormones and why I probably had it. I think I will always tally thrush now with an early sign of being up the duff! On the flip side (wouldn't be me unless there was a disaster!!) I used canesten pessary and the cream and had an allergic reaction and quite literally ended up burning layers of skin off my delicate little flower flaps! Spent two days with a cold wet flannel in my pants and in agony ha ha! (So glad I can actually laugh at those horrible few weeks now!)

Alibaba2 · 04/09/2016 08:21

Ouch Bean!!

jinglebellmel · 04/09/2016 08:53

Ouch bean!! Think mine came either just before or day of ov (don't quite agree with ff on ov day) so don't think it's a pregnancy symptom sadly. Will keep my fingers crossed though!

OP posts:
Thebean123 · 04/09/2016 09:54

Well if nothing else I hope the vision of me waddling around with an elsa frozen flannel in my pants made u laugh ;)

jinglebellmel · 04/09/2016 10:42

It did, thank you!!
