38 and going try for number 3 - any advice?

Hello,

We have 2 already and with a 8 year gap to the youngest we've decided we'd love a third.

so really do I need to get the ovulation sticks? Take temperatures?! All new to this feel like there are lots of new acronyms and I've no idea what they mean lol.

Sorry if my post is a bit vague I guess we have been waiting for the right time and now we're here, and I'm like ok! Aside from the lots of shagging what else do I need to know?

I'm still just planning to ttc! Taking vitamins etc. If a miracle happened and I was able to get pregnant, I'd want it to be born close as possible to September (teacher)

Had a MMC last year and it was truly awful. I'm sort of taking the approach that it possibly won't happen for me, getting pregnant that is.

Anyone feeling positive?

So today I have either come on 4 days early or it's maybe implementation bleeding. Just some browny/red spotting.

Thanks orange. Jonah I am not sure why. Maybe because it's taking longer than the last two I have more time to talk myself out of it. It took us about two years to come to the decision we wanted to try for a third and the longer it goes on the more negative points I think of. Am quite a practical person so I think of the practical aspects, money, nursery fees, another car, moving house because we only have 3 bedrooms and our other two are in seperate rooms. Then I think that none of that matters and I DO want another. Perhaps I need to stop thinking and just got on with it!

Hi, I used ovulation sticks which told me I was ovulating a couple of days after my period ended. So I knew we needed to have intercourse as soon as the bleeding stopped. I also had regular acupuncture as I was 39, to relax my mind and body. As soon as I took it all seriously and focused I became pregnant.

Hi everyone. This is my first time posting anywhere I think! I'm 40, have chronic pain and fatigue (and coming off tablets that help with it), just had my coil out but on mini pill whilst i come off tablets. I have a dd who is 15!! Am I crazy to think of doing this?? Yes! But I do think I'm at the best I will ever be health wise. I'm excited to try (the first was a surprise!) But obviously super nervous as to whether I will cope with pregnancy and being a mum of a newborn again. My partner is the one who suggested we try and at first I was like 'are you crazy?!' But then got a bit excited at the thought. Reading this thread I didn't realise how out of touch I am with everything! Haha! Might get the ovia app to investigate.

Lying low for a while as been getting rid of af, and being ill.
Back to it now though, think I ov'd yesterday which is great as dtd on Friday night, will have to wait and see. If only it were that straightforward!! Irregular so not entirely sure but usually early so now in 2ww.

grrr negative..... I am clinging on to the fact that AF not due until weds so it was v early and i have no idea when i ovulated so it could have been later and therefore AF due later....
Ah well. I ordered loads of the cheapo opks from amazon last week so at least i will get to use them next month!

Yes definitely implantation bleeding. Stopped after 2 days and it was a funny kind of blood, almost grainy. Was the same with my other 2 so everything points to being pregnant but I really don't know, could be lots of other things too.

Will test this weekend as that will be 4 weeks from the last day of my last period (and my cycles seem to go on that rather than first day) anything happening for you? Will you test again?

I think i will test again on Thursday if nothing has happened by then, That would be cd30 which is quite long for me.
No af symptoms but no pg symptoms either so a bit confused.
Busy at work to keep me distracted though! Good luck on friday!!

So did a test this morning and negative. So I was confused and wrote down all my dates. Last month I took the pill for 1 week after my period and then stopped so had another period. The what I thought was implantation bleeding falls exactly 3 weeks from the last day of the period I had after stopping the 1 week long pill taking. So I reckon this was period all along, and obviously it was light as I'd already had 2 periods this month.

So the upshot is I have downloaded an app to help me look at my dates and plan, and I'm also going to get an ovulation testing kit to help me with that too.

Any news from anyone else? Emma is all going well for you?

Morning all! Not much to report here. Will be testing on Tuesday and try hard not to test early. Have a some cheap tests in case I cave! How's everyone else doing? Xx
