late I'm so glad you had a great talk. I hope next time goes really well for you.

lovely only a few days left! Have you been testing more?

kwick scan results? I'm getting excited for you!

Thanks for all the support. I'm feeling better today. Really pushing myself to stay away from negative thoughts and focus on the positive.

kwick · 23/08/2016 21:16

late great news about your consultant chat.

pickle I have the record set but my series link won't work!!! In fact recordings often jump around... Think I may need a new Sky box...

Just had a long chat with neighbour in basement flat about weed addict in top floor flat - he advised that I do not go to council - they will find out it is me and things could turn nasty. I tend to agree so for now I will continue with my passive aggression and maybe buy an air purifier...

Scan a tad disappointing:
No apparent follicle growth
Have to have another scan tomorrow
Was told to avoid eating fibre on lead up to egg collection as my bowels can obstruct view of ovary Confused
Even blood taking expert had to stab me twice... Second time in the hand...
Things are piling up at work as I am almost a part-timer due to scans and I am trying not to stress!

Doh! Stupid sky box! Mine does that sometimes, hopefully by Monday it'll be fine, it's just another stress that is piddley but amongst another stuff if adds to the grrrr!!
Sad disappointing about the scan, hopefully tomorrows will be more conclusive x

kwick · 23/08/2016 21:59

pickle panic over! Series link: check! Still think I may need a new box though.

karen glad you're feeling more positive, the time will go much quicker too when you're not stressing 😊

pickle I hope you get to enjoy your sisters wedding! Friday is a big day! I'm excited too.

Yes have been repeat testing, just making sure that he's still on board....so far so good. Have been a bit tired and worried. I will be glad once Friday is here.

Karendvm · 24/08/2016 14:50

Two more days lovely. I am so pleased for you!

kwick do you have your scan results? Hope today's results are more positive!

Karendvm · 24/08/2016 16:48

Hello ladies,

Trying to move in a positive direction. I've booked a reflexology session for right before the start of my next cycle. Also going to go see a naturopath next Tuesday, which I'm pretty excited about. She seems to have a very good energy about her. Also looking into changing my primary care giver (not my RE at this point) and it looks like that will go well as well. Feel very good about all of this, feel like making these steps gives me some positive control. Hope you are all doing well. X

kwick · 24/08/2016 17:34

karen I am loving your PMA Grin

Follicles still not making progress... Jesus if I drink any more milk I will explode!!! Apparently as I am on natural IVF I have to have a scan & bloods every day... That clinic is like my second home!!!

Lovelyholiday · 24/08/2016 19:07

Thanks karen been so busy today but feeling lots better! Just exhausted now!
Your proactive positive approach will work wonders I'm sure, reflexology is supposed to be amazing and will stimulate those ovaries into action!

Looking forward to a long relaxing weekend, told my parents yesterday and gave them a picture of the embryo (one to frame I'm sure 😂)

INeedNewShoes · 24/08/2016 22:05

Evening Smile

Late - that sounds positive re your lovely doctor. You must feel more confident now knowing that she will make sure you're looked after at the clinic.

Kwick - how dare your follicles not be playing the game! Have you been drinking plenty of water in this ridiculous heat? Scan every day seems a bit OTT. Your follies are surely not going to jump from 9mm to 16mm overnight (average growth is usually 1.5–2mm a day). If you fancy a coffee before/after your appointment tomorrow, I happen to be in the office tomorrow which is just down the road. But by the sounds of it, you probably won't have time!

Karen - it's good that you have picked up and focused your energy on some positive action, which is easier said than done.

I am 7dpo today. I started testing at 8dpo last cycle. I am still determined to delay testing until later and I am pretty convinced I'll stick to that I this stage. My order of Cassanovum tests (10 for £5.99 on Ebay - what a bargain!) has arrived but I've hidden them so that they don't try to tempt me to test.

Talking of tests, I had an Estate Agent around to value my house today. We were sitting at my dining table which had a pile of stuff at one end when I realised that right next to him there was one of those internet cheapie ovulation tests Blush He was dead fit as well, and probably now thinks I'm pregnant because the packet was upside down so just showed the diagram of the test being dipped.

Karendvm · 24/08/2016 22:28

shoes you have made me laugh! How do you hide tests from yourself?? And he's a guy, he probably didn't even notice the box or if he did likely didn't know what it was. Lol!!!

kwick hope you are giving your ovaries a stern talking to. I'll send some positive energy towards them. A scan every day......wow. I had blood every day one cycle, and that was enough. Fingers crossed.

Latenightreader · 25/08/2016 09:54

A group I am a member of holds its meetings in my house (a bit cramped but saves me driving). The last meeting was in June and I remembered to move the packet of pregnancy tests from the hall table (they'd arrived in the post the day before), the books about single parenting from the sitting room, and forgot the ovulation tests pretty much everywhere in the bathroom... Once I realised, I was on tenterhooks in case anyone asked to pop upstairs and I zipped up myself as soon as there was a pause (I was chairing so couldn't escape sooner). Thankfully no one went upstairs because I noticed later that I'd missed the leaflet about how they work, which was sitting on the bathroom windowsill!

kwick · 25/08/2016 09:57

shoes so sorry - only just seen your message. I would have loved to meet up - but you are right I am on a mad dash to the office b4 I leave for Brussels.
So I asked about the daily scan - it seems they are doing this a) because that is the protocol for natural ivf post day 12; b) my oestrogen levels have plateaued and they want to make a call about whether to cancel the cycle.
The good news is the dominant follicle listened and has grown nearly 2mm!! I am so pleased and will reward it with even more milk!!!
Bad news: have to tell boss that will most likely not be at week of meetings in Paris...

shoes I love the Estate Agent story... You should have jumped him... Oh wait sorry life is not like a mills and boon novel (just started up reading them again - they are so addictive!!!)
Please explain cassanovum tests??? What are they?

shoes What a bargin, I never even thought of looking on ebay! How many dpo are you now?

So now im concerned that once i stop the progesterone pessaries thats its all going to go wrong, i only have 2 more days of them. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of this?

Loving all your funny stories and the good vibes going on!
Keep it up ladies. We got this!!

Karendvm · 25/08/2016 17:59

You wil have your beta results before you run out though, right lovely? In not sure with ivf, but I'm pretty sure that once you start progesterone you keep going until 12 weeks. At least that's what I will have to do. Tomorrow is your test, that's so exciting!

Lovelyholiday · 25/08/2016 18:35

Karen I just need to take a test in the morning and let the clinic know, they haven't offered a blood test, am unsure why but I think some clinics seem to work that way. I hope they give me another prescription tbh its concerning me a bit

pickle162 · 25/08/2016 18:52

Yay for the folicle growth kwick

INeedNewShoes · 25/08/2016 19:50

I'm on my phone so apologies if I've missed anything!

Lovely I am 8dpo today. I feel no inclination to test yet. The trauma of early testing last cycle is still very fresh in my memory!

Kwick. Yay for 2mm growth! I hope things look good when you go tomorrow.

The cassanovum tests are just a cheap brand of pregnancy tests available online.

Lovelyholiday · 26/08/2016 09:55

All confirmed with the clinic, next step is a scan on the 16th September Grin

TTC through Donor IUI or Donor IVF or just undecided - all welcome! #makeithappen
kwick · 26/08/2016 10:18

Wow lovely!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so pleased for you.
StarStarStarStar

I think different clinics have different protocols - but at mine if you get a BFP on day 16 post procedure you then go in for a blood test - to confirm HCG levels and progesterone levels. They then give you more progesterone if necessary and you keep on with the crinone gel regardless until 10 weeks or so.

I am just waiting to board plane back to Blighty at Brussels airport... What a whirlwind. I am trying to take on as much water/milk as poss. Keep your fx for me and my follicle!

INeedNewShoes · 26/08/2016 10:40

Congratulations Lovely Smile
Roll on 16th September. What an exciting time for you!

Yay to a BFP on our thread Smile

Lovelyholiday · 26/08/2016 10:50

Thank you so much!! It just doesn't seem real yet!
I asked about the progesterone and apparently my clinic conducted the largest uk study into the effects of continuing with the pessaries after bfp is of no use.
Hmm maybe not physically but im sure mentally it does have an effect to a degree.
Anyway i have enough to carry on using once a day for another week, after that if i still feel the same I may go to the gp.

Kwick I will be thinking and praying that you get a good result, you really do deserve some good news!!

Late Thank-you With your nice doc fully on board with your care im very positive you will have a good outcome

Shoes 3 more days......keep strong, my fingers are crossed for you

Karendvm · 26/08/2016 12:16

kwick · 26/08/2016 14:38
