Lovely and latenight I am thinking of you

Lovelyholiday · 19/08/2016 07:39

shoes how are you feeling after your ordeal? Hopefully you are able to to have a nice relaxing weekend without stress.

kwick dose up on paracetamol, sleep, and a birocca (sp) but
Most importantly have a fantastic weekend with your nephew.

Nothing significant to report here apart from having the most vivid wacky dreams!!
I'm really not feeling anything symptom
Wise, really hoping that's not a bad signal.

Today I'm 4dp5dr and beginning to panic.

Latenightreader · 19/08/2016 09:58

shoes Hope you are resting and relaxing.

kwick Half a lemon squeezed into a mug of hot water with a large spoonful of honey is my favourite cold remedy. Actually my favourite is a glass of medicinal red wine or a tot of single malt, but the other is a bit more appropriate!

I've had another negative this morning (2WW up tomorrow) but having just looked back at the reviews of the tests I bought, the most recent ones are complaining of false negatives. I may be being unreasonably hopeful, but I'm going to pop out to the shops this lunchtime to buy a 'proper' one... Anyone else had a problem with particular tests, or have a brand that they recommend?

I just want to stop feeling the need to check my knickers every half an hour!

INeedNewShoes · 19/08/2016 12:40

Late it's a good idea to go and buy a different brand of test (doesn't matter which really as long as it's an 'early' one).

The internet cheapies show much much fainter lines early on I've found. At least if you buy a reliable test you'll trust the answer.

(Beware First Response - they've had a spate of tests with indent lines, meaning they'll show a very faint line even if negative).

kwick · 19/08/2016 13:14

Oh no shoes! Cannot believe FRER are no longer deemed reliable - I have always trusted them!

I am on my way home to dose up on lemon and honey... Not sure why I did not think of this last night Confused
Really hope lurgy does not impact egg growth - come on you follies!

I may have just been highly unproductive at work and spent mega time placing an internet order for work clothes

Hello ladies,

Found this and thought it might be interesting for someof you ladies:

notbyaccident.net

For what it's worth I'd recommend Clear Blue. I had some cheapies too, but found clearer result with Clear Blue. Even at end of 2WW the cheapies struggled to give me a clear result either way.

I think I have a second line?? Eek Grin

INeedNewShoes · 20/08/2016 09:39

Ooh Lovely that does look like a second line Smile Is there definite colour in the line (it's hard to tell from photos)?

You're testing very early aren't you? I can't help but be a bit cautious in my response to you, knowing that very early positives can often turn negative (chemical) but it's certainly looking promising! Test again tomorrow and hopefully you'll see a slightly darker line.

Fingers crossed for you!

Lovelyholiday · 20/08/2016 09:44

Thanks shoes
Yes definitely pink line, I know I tested early, zero willpower!
But like you cautious in my optimism, so keeping fingers and legs tightly crossed.
Will keep testing to check the line gets darker before I tell anyone in rl Smile

INeedNewShoes · 20/08/2016 09:59

What brand of test is that Lovely ?

They're obviously sensitive to be picking up the HCG this early. I might stock up on some of those (when I worked out what I spent on FRERs last month I was horrified !)

Having said that I have made a strict decision to test only from 12dpo this month because the headf*ck last month was a bit too much for me. Still that's a few days of tests so I could still do with a cheaper option.

Lovelyholiday · 20/08/2016 10:15

These were £4:85 for 5 tests I got them from amazon Cassanovum brand.
They arrived this morning hence my weakness!
I did um and arh over the frer but stuck with the cheaper option I have one digital clear blue which I will take on my otd which will be my final confirmation.
My guess is my embie was already hatching out on Monday so must have snuggled in pretty quick.

Hoping and praying he still likes his home for months to come!!
And that this is the start of lots of bfp's on this board!!

INeedNewShoes · 20/08/2016 10:20

Thanks Smile

I used a ClearBlue digital for the first time last month for an absolute definite answer. It was such a relief not to be looking for an (in my case) imaginary developing line! So that's my game plan from now on. Cassanovum tests for 12, 13, 14 dpo then a ClearBlue digital for OTD.

For anyone shopping for tests, I noticed that the ClearBlue digis are cheap in Wilkos - something like £9 for a box of two.

Lovelyholiday · 20/08/2016 10:28

Just checked they are £4.49 even better Smile
Gosh I really hope this is your time too, I really do!!
I'm in shock and don't know what to do with myself.

INeedNewShoes · 20/08/2016 10:52

Taydex Thanks for posting that link yesterday.

I listened to the first instalment last night. It made me a bit emotional I have to say! I don't know if I'll listen to it all just because I found the way she spoke in a sort of hushed-dramatic tone (don't know how else to explain it!) a little bit grating (which is probably very unfair of me, but can't be helped!).

I might read bits instead.

Latenightreader · 20/08/2016 11:45

Tested this morning with a Boots digital and the strips I've been using. Both negative. No AF yet, but feels as if it won't be long. Now I'm scared that they won't let me try again because of the difficulty they had before.

Latenightreader · 20/08/2016 11:45

Lovely That's so exciting!

INeedNewShoes · 20/08/2016 11:46

Late I'm sorry that it's looking like this month hasn't worked Sad

Have you paid upfront for multiple attempts with your clinic?

Lovelyholiday · 20/08/2016 12:00

late which clinic are you using? I know you're in the north west. I am too, if you want I can let you have the details of my clinic, they have been nothing but lovely,
and am sorry to hear about your negative test, it's heartbreaking Flowers

Lovelyholiday · 20/08/2016 12:02

Ps late on my first consultation with my clinic, they noticed something was wrong via a scan and had it sorted within weeks via nhs too. Please don't lose hope.

kwick · 20/08/2016 12:34

Keeping my fingers crossed for you lovely
My head hurts too much to look at photo in detail - sorry. Still feeling pants - and somehow managed to get orangey stains all over one of my fav pj tops and look what I found on my shoulder....Confused

OP posts:
Latenightreader · 20/08/2016 12:35

Shoes Yes, I've paid for three, had one official attempt and the doctor said the last one wouldn't count so technically I have two left.

Lovely That would be wonderful, thank you. Everyone else seems to love my clinic - I think I've just had bad luck and bad anatomy...

INeedNewShoes · 20/08/2016 12:39

Late you mustn't get into thinking you have a 'bad' anatomy otherwise you will be so anxious for future treatments. I really do feel that a different clinic/doctor would have handled things differently and possibly wouldn't have had problems if they were maybe more experienced, took more time etc. I wonder if you could ask them for a refund under the circumstances so that you can go elsewhere? Or could you ask for a different member of staff to do the treatment next time?

Kwick is it a bite?
