Don't be sad boggle xx think of your amazing progesterone score from the other day xx things are looking positive for you at the moment xx

How long did you give it from blood test to ringing for the result?

YouBoggleMyMind · 28/07/2016 09:43

Thank you Amy, I know I should be positive about how far we've come, it's just taken SO long.

Initially I wasn't going to call and get my results as I was just going to ask on the 10th but curiosity got the better of me and I call on Tuesday but this was 2 weeks after i'd had the test. I think 3 days is about normal. Try later this afternoon perhaps? Maybe the can give you a timeline at the very least.

Boggle glad you had a nice walk with your Mum Smile And stay positive Boggle Flowers things are moving in the right direction for you!

Amy I agree with Boggle, if you give them a call today even if they're not ready they should at least be able to tell you when they will be.

And OMG GIRLS!!! I came on my period this morning!! First one since March!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 28/07/2016 12:41

Haha yay for AF! What are your next steps dani?

OP posts:
danigrace · 28/07/2016 12:58

Thanks Boggle! Grin
We get DH's sa results from our GP tomorrow and I'm back at the fertility clinic at the hosp 23 Aug but won't need Provera now. Planning on sticking with my diet/shakes/inositol etc. and maxing out the eving primrose oil from today to CD14 and taking tribulus tincture from CD5 to CD14. Might go wild and temp/opk too lol

YouBoggleMyMind · 28/07/2016 15:49

Sounds marvellous dani. Fingers crossed for a successful cycle!

Progesterone score = 1.2 exactly the same as last time Sad but I know that I ovulated late last cycle so there's still hope for me yet!!!!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/07/2016 11:12

Can you get another blood test amy? I don't think it can be accurate if you know you ovulated later. There is still hope xxx

OP posts:
YouBoggleMyMind · 29/07/2016 12:43

Just been reading up about IVF and it turns out we only get 1 fresh cycle on the Nhs. I honestly thought it was 3. I'm so bummed out. Obviously grateful to get anything funded but it just makes it clear I need to push for everything I can before IVF in the hope that that might work.

OP posts:
AmyC86 · 29/07/2016 14:57

I always thought it was three goes as well boggle xx oh well, another puncture to my wounds!!

Re; progesterone, my husband said the same thing about an extra blood test. I am right when I say that I'd only get a bleed if I ovulated, if I didn't ovulate then I wouldn't have had that natural bleed on the 6th? Albeit the egg may not have been a good one but at least I released one?

YouBoggleMyMind · 29/07/2016 17:44

Depends on where you live as to what your offered IVF wise. You could get more. Something to look into.

I believe that you can have a period and not ovulate and you can ovulate and not bleed. Are you using opks? Can you tell if you ovulate?

OP posts:
AmyC86 · 29/07/2016 23:26

I haven't got a clue 😂

YouBoggleMyMind · 30/07/2016 09:51

I'd favour another blood test if you can? You're supposedly meant to ovulate 14 days before your period so going by last cycle, what day would that have been? And what cd was your blood test? You can hopefully work out from there when you might have ovulated and see if your blood test will have been accurate or not.

Looks as though I've gone back to doing nothing without clomid. No positive opks and last cycle I'm pretty sure I ovulated by now. Sad

I had a forced bleed on the 25th April to be able to take the clomid (50mg from 26th -30th)

I had my CD21 bloods taken on 15th May (result was 1.2)
I got a natural AF on the 6th July following from taking the first batch of clomid, making this cycle 72 days long. (This AF was diffevent to those AFs I've had for a long time, heavier and only lasting 5 days, horrific cramps, very sore and sensitive nipples). Usually my AF is a lighter flow without any cramps & any sore nipples etc.
Using the 14 day lutial phase, I recon that if I did ovulate, it was around cd69 😂 of all days!

AmyC86 · 30/07/2016 10:38

This time, naturally occurring AF 6th July. Took Clomid 7th-11th July.
Blood tests taken on 26th July (result 1.2).
Currently cd25, no signs or symptoms of AF at all.

YouBoggleMyMind · 30/07/2016 12:01

I reckon a blood test 7 days later than your last night show a more accurate picture? I hate how complex it all is!! Xxx

OP posts:
AmyC86 · 30/07/2016 15:18

Me too 😣 xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/08/2016 13:12

Still no positive opks for me. Have bought another pack to carry on and see if anything happens later in my cycle.

How are you ladies? Xxx

OP posts:
danigrace · 01/08/2016 14:43

Thanks Boggle. That's frustrating about IVFl, I always thought everyone got 3 on the NHS too... Let's hope it doesn't have to come to that anyway!

Amy the doc said we'll discuss clomid when I go back on 23rd depending on other test results. Sorry your bloods weren't what you were hoping for Amy - still hope though like you say!

Well DH's sperm results weren't fantastic - 16% progressive when should be 32% and count was under the normal level but concentration quite a bit higher than the normal figure. But the thing is I was reading depending on the person sperm survives between 30 min & 4 hours outside the body and we got it there 1 hour & 15 mins after and not sure if they tested it instantly so that may have played a factor. But anyway, not great but could have been worse I guess.

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/08/2016 15:43

I'm going to ask when we go on the 10th so I know for sure but from what I've read, it's 1 fresh cycle.

I suspect the time lapse of an hour and 15 may have something to do with it but at least you know that could be a contributing factor.

AmyC86 · 01/08/2016 16:13

I checked my local NHS, and I get three cycles of IVF. It was only one, but it was changed in 2015 to 3 xx

YouBoggleMyMind · 01/08/2016 18:04

Where did you look for the info amy? I want to double check for me. Also, I live in one county but go to a fertility clinic in another. Is it where you live, or the fertility clinic you're going to??
