Amy how's your knee?? fingers crossed for you. That's frustrating about the scans. Belated birthday wishes!! Flowers holiday sounds so lovely!!

Boggle how are you feeling? Did you go to the dentist? Have you always had natural cycles or did the metformin bring them on? fingers crossed for your next cycle. & oooh spa weekend sounds amazing! Congrats with the weightloss!!
Boggle & Lois I've been told everyone has to have the lap & dye before they can have clomid... I take it that's not true then? fingers crossed for your next round! I've never yet had a positive opk.

Well we're still waiting on dh's sa results which we'll get a week today. Still no AF here (or BFP), not had a period since March but was hoping something was happening as ewcm appeared but evidently not...

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/07/2016 19:35

Hi dani, I'm ok thanks. Tooth is much better thanks. Never had natural cycles apart from 2 in the last 2 years. All the rest were bought on by provera or clomid not working and me not getting pregnant.

I've not had a lap and dye or a hycosy and have had 5 rounds of clomid.

OP posts:
danigrace · 22/07/2016 20:03

Boggle there's still a LOT of hope for you! One more round did you say? & I've read of ladies getting pg in the few month after finishing their clomid cycles bc it apparently has a cumulative affect. And then there's IVF. And of course the possibility of a miracle in the meantime!! Glad your tooth's better.
Maybe I should try asking for clomid again then before having the lap & dye? It'll prob depend on how long they want me to wait for it! 23 Aug when I next see them seems sooo long away!!

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/07/2016 20:07

We've got 1 natural cycle before going back to review our treatment on 10th August. Guess we wait to see what they say. I've just tried to ignore it all this time. It's easier xx

Hi, how are you all?

Boggle is it worth you trying for injectables (menopur and ovidrel, as Moomin had and I'm having) before IVF? You get scanned every few days and then they trigger ov, so you have much more knowledge about timing.

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/07/2016 23:21

All I can do is see what they suggest on the 10th. I'm open to suggestions. Xx

Sorry robber, how was your holibobs? Xx

AmyC86 · 23/07/2016 00:15

dani knee is slowly getting there. I didn't think that I'd have so much pain't tbh, but I've been hobbling around for nearly two weeks. Still not walked up stairs properly, neither have I drove the car, but things are getting better slowly.

Hope everyone else is alright at the moment xx I'm cd 18 today, only managed to DTD twice in that time due to a spot of thrush earlier in the week Sad

RobberBride · 23/07/2016 10:13

Amy glad you're feeling a bit better. Re thrush - I think clomid makes you prone to it, I certainly had thrush on at least five out of my six clomid cycles! This stuff really helps, I get it from Amazon as much cheaper than Boots: www.boots.com/en/Multi-Gyn-FloraPlus-5-x-5ml_1155458/.

Dani I'd ask for clomid before L&D - I haven't had L&D and I have had clomid. I did have an HSG first though.

Boggle menopur plus ovidrel is much less invasive than IVF. Also menopur is often used during IVF cycles, so doing an injectables round will give you info useful for future IVF rounds.

My holibobs were lovely, thank you to you all for encouraging us to go! We both feel better, much more able to face the next round of treatment.

Wave to Eskimo, Moomin and Ella.

AmyC86 · 23/07/2016 10:21

robber is that a cream that you insert? I went to the chemistry & got the canister duo- nearly £15!!!

Did clear up after about 48 hours so I think that I caught it early xx

If it happens again, I'll be getting that stuff you suggested

RobberBride · 23/07/2016 10:31

It is sort of a gel in an applicator, like preseed but less messy. The one I linked to is a pack of five, you'll need all of them to treat one bout of thrush. I've just ordered a pack from Amazon for £9, as I'm suffering after this latest clomid round. I hate thrush.

RobberBride · 23/07/2016 10:33

Also Amy you shouldn't take the canestan tablet if you think you might be pg. The cream and pessary are ok.

AmyC86 · 23/07/2016 11:34

Yeah robber I read that on the leaflet, but I know that at the time I defiantly wasn't PG.

Sounds like I'm going to have a lovely time with this clomid if I get thrush each time xx

RobberBride · 23/07/2016 12:00

Amy just reread my post, really sorry for sounding like a nag I didn't mean it that way! It just surprised me that I could take the pessary but not the tablet, so I wanted to share the knowledge.

YouBoggleMyMind · 23/07/2016 17:44

I'll be really interested to see what they say on the 10th. If they offer injectables then I'll likely do them. The scans will be a pain in the arse though xxx

robber no offence taken xxx

danigrace · 24/07/2016 18:49

Boggle I feel you, the wait to next appointments seems to take a looong time.

Robber thanks, I will certainly ask. I didn't like the sound of the L&D initially and straight out asked if it was essential to have before being allowed clomid and the doc said yes... so I was surprised to hear you ladies saying differently. So glad you enjoyed your holiday.

Amy hope your recovery speeds up! Glad you're feeling better some.

Nothing much to report here, taking another 10 days of tribulus & have started with evening primrose oil & inositol.

AmyC86 · 25/07/2016 00:21

dani progress is slow with my knee Sad I also keep meaning to get these supplements on track! Where did you buy your inositol? Xx

danigrace · 25/07/2016 10:09

Amy from myprotein, I also get their vanilla stevia (sugar & additive free) impact whey protein powder. I try and keep my diet protein heavy rather than carb heavy (as I read it's better for pcos) and that helps. I bung the inositol in with it in the blender along with maca & freshly ground flaxseeds, then a banana and almond milk to make it all come together (& a handful of spinach leaves or spirulina if I'm being good... but that does give it a less appealing pond sludge vibe lol). Had it for just over a month now (minus the new inositol addition) and have actually started to enjoy it!
Do you have follow up appointments for your knee?

Pcos, periods (or lack of!) and a lovely bunch of ladies
AmyC86 · 25/07/2016 11:05

No offence dani but it looks awful! Lol I've got a follow up appointment at the end of August.

danigrace · 25/07/2016 11:26

Hahaha doesn't it just - that's the bog water flavour lol. Can still do the protein and inositol etc with just a handful of frozen berries which is MUCH more user friendly Grin
Do you have any more fertility appointments in between your knee follow up? I hope you're being good and resting!

AmyC86 · 26/07/2016 06:00

Next fertility appointment is due in September. I got this appointment back in April and scoffed at the thought of needing it. I was convinced that I would take the clomid once and get pregnant straight away. How wrong I was! Second cycle, only symptom I've had is hot flashes which have lasted longer than the 5 days of clomid treatment and that's not even a symptom! Cd21 bloods this morning but I'm not holding out much hope.

YouBoggleMyMind · 26/07/2016 08:58

I scoffed at it taking this long too amy. But here I am, 2 years later and still not a whisper. Not really coping at the minute. I almost want to give up but know that would be stupid.

OP posts:
AmyC86 · 26/07/2016 11:27

Humph! I reckon I'm in this for the long haul like you boggle. The thing which really worries me is the fact that currently, I won't be offered any other treatment due to my weight. I think I need to loose 3.5 stone to get my BMI at 30 and under. I have lost weight before, but I find it so bleeding hard Sad

It probably sounds really rediculus, but I've always said that if I don't have kids by the time I'm 38+ I won't bother, at least at the moment I feel like I won't bother.

YouBoggleMyMind · 26/07/2016 12:02

I think my bmi is 27 but I've always been told I need to get it to what is should be. I've only done it once and that was the lead up to my wedding. I wish I had that motivation again.

Will you get IVF if injectables don't work? Xx
