No news here either. Currently trying to decide when/if to cycle again and saving up for it as need icsi this time.

star1980 · 09/06/2016 21:03

Not much news here either, though just entering my first tww on a clomid cycle. Triggered Tuesday morning, ovulated last night (I could feel it, it's so weird to pinpoint ovulation so precisely!) and managed to dtd Tuesday night and last night. Now just hoping oh's sperm is actually improved and the last sample wasn't an anomaly. And that somehow this tww is different from the last 25 (or however many!) And and and... Hmm

bananafish81 · 09/06/2016 22:07

Hi all, hugs to everyone and welcome newbies

Not much to report, just waiting for period and desperately hoping for Niagara Falls so we can start our FET

Not due till tomorrow and have the periody grumbly cramping and brown spotting which I hope means it's on its way. But every period I've had since starting TTC - apart from the one after my first IVF - has started like this and then not gone any further, no actual flow. Panicking it will go on strike. 11mm of lining has to go somewhere, surely?!

Will try to invoke law of sod with white knickers.

JustTrixie · 10/06/2016 10:29

Yes, my appointment is Thursday Lucie, have my list of questions ready and DH and I are very much hoping we can go off next AF though I expect we will be told we have to wait for the next one. Hope the next week goes nice and fast for you, then when you get back it won't be long at all until your next cycle.

Sounds like you've timed things perfectly Star - fx.

Welcome Mbire, I agree with Sammy, the 1 year mark is especially tough. Great that your tests have come back ok but I know it can be frustrating because you want an answer for why it hasn't happened yet.

Hope the white knickers worked Banana.

Itsme247 · 10/06/2016 10:47

Welcome to the newbies and hello to everyone else :)

First injection this evening (I'll be on a hen do!) eek! Hope I don't bottle it and cry.

Finally on our way, feels like I've been waiting for this forever.

BorisIsBack · 10/06/2016 13:39

Itsme - eeek how exciting. the first injection is tough to do but they are really easy. try not to hesitate, stick the needle straight in... By the second jab you'll be a pro by the third you won't think about it. Good luck :) x

star1980 · 10/06/2016 14:07

Good luck with your first injection itsme!

Great you've got your questions ready trixie. I hope you can start at your next cycle since you're feeling ready, but if not a cycle goes pretty quickly and it might be nice to have a month off ttc. It sounds like you have a good plan for your next cycle, which is very positive - take some control in this shitty journey.

Hope your period comes today Banana!

Hey Boris, how you doing? How far along are you now?!

Brenna24 · 10/06/2016 14:12

Hi all. No news here either. Not allowed to TTC this cycle as I am waiting for the bloods to get taken and I have to be two months clear of a pregnancy. So I have just been really down and had nothing to say for myself. I am applying a kick up the bum and picking myself up again. I have done a lot of trying to get fit again and gone back on MyFitnessPal to eat less and get my weight down a bit, without sacrificing any nutrition for future babies. We restarted yoga at work 3 weeks ago as we found a new teacher. I am so stiff compared to last year I am really upset about it. Plus I found it really hard as the last class I went to was in that room, with a different teacher, the day before I started bleeding again and found out Rowan had died a couple of weeks before. I can vividly remember seeing the blood in the morning and panicing it was because I did yoga the day before - clearly not since baby had been dead a couple of weeks. But the first class we did I was getting a lot of flashbacks and nearly burst into tears. It is getting better now, I just feel down about how far I have gone back on everything. Hopefully soon I will feel better again.

I had a quick peek back. Welcome to the newbies and a big Grin 6 out of 12!!!! for Banana. I hope this is your lucky one.

BorisIsBack · 11/06/2016 07:33

Star I'm good thanks, just been on holiday so haven't kept up properly but was tracking Bananas progress and the newbies (welcome ladies, you are all in the right place).
I'm now 16 weeks. I told a girl I work with that I conceived through ivf, she looked really shocked and said that I'm not old enough to need ivf... (I'm 37...) The innocence of some people is anazing and needs educating.

maplebaby · 12/06/2016 00:04

Sorry in advance for the me me me but feckin got feckin baby bombed at a hen do!!!! Literally sat down and the person announced it "so won't be drinking". Was so close to getting up and walking off.

maplebaby · 12/06/2016 00:54

And breathe.

Banana did you manage to invoke the law of sod and get heavy flow?!

Itsme hope the first stabbing went ok? Did you have to do it discreetly somewhere at the hen do?!

Brenna I'm glad you are feeling a bit better about yoga and go you on the fitness front!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Brenna24 · 12/06/2016 14:41

So sorry maple. Sad

maplebaby · 12/06/2016 17:04

Thanks Brenna feel a lot better about it today - think it helps that she's a total stranger and I won't have to see her again (until the wedding)!

Currently on 5dpo according to FF! And only 2 weeks and 5 days until my appointment so should start IUI on the cycle after that! Must try and think positive thoughts!

Brenna24 · 12/06/2016 17:22

I know how you feel Maple. I was round at a friends last night helping her sort out an outfit for the wedding we are both going to in Romania. We were talkinga bout who would be there that we would know. It turns out one of the girls I thought would be there won't as she is due two weeks after the wedding. I was pregnant at her wedding and lost the baby shortly afterwards. I had no idea. I didn't cry. She won't be at the wedding but somehow there is now going to be a giant prenant her shaped hole in the wedding. I am not sure I can face going now. But we said we will and DH is really looking forward to it. I have no idea when this whole night mare is going to be over.

loopylou1984 · 12/06/2016 20:50

Banana - any sign of AF? Why oh why would she be holding out on you? I mean science wise that makes no sense!

Itsme - how did your hen do stabbing go?

Maple - a baby bomb in a hen do is not acceptable. I hope it was t news to the bride. Talk about stealing the thunder!

Hey, we're you guys at the same hen do?!

maplebaby · 12/06/2016 21:03

Sammy no she didn't! Well she had guessed I think but hadn't been told officially!

I don't think it was the same hen do as itsme's was on Friday I think? Mine was Saturday! That would be a small world!!

Itsme247 · 12/06/2016 21:03

The stabbing is much easier now, three days down! You were right, I'm a pro! X

loopylou1984 · 12/06/2016 21:25

That is SO rude!
I would have been fuming if someone announced a pregnancy on my hen do!

Itsme - hooray for being a pro stabber! Xx

Itsme247 · 13/06/2016 15:24

Im day 24.. So expecting period in the next four days or does buserelin sometimes delay it?

Only side effects of note are boobs massive and hurt and I can't stop eating, I see food and just want to eat it. Please tell me nausea is a common side effect because otherwise I'm going to get really fat, I have no self restraint!

beanhunter · 13/06/2016 18:37

My period was day 35 with buserelin instead of day 27. I got helpfully told it can be early or late, light of heavy! I was super hungry too and admit I did put some weight on.

bananafish81 · 13/06/2016 21:35

Urgh. Period completely MIA. Spotting has completely vanished, so whatever suggestion it might be on its way has disappeared

Dr is concerned enough he’s getting me in after clinic hours to scan me sooner rather than later. Bloods first thing, so results will be back for appt at 7pm. Bricking it.

loopylou1984 · 13/06/2016 21:37

Banana what is going on?!
What is your doctor concerned about exactly? Great that they're getting you in swiftly though. Xx

bananafish81 · 13/06/2016 21:42

Well it's 18 days post EC and there's no biological reason I shouldn't have had a period

I grew 11mm of lining
EC means for the purposes of my cycle I 'ovulated', but because the retrieval process disrupts progesterone production (no proper corpus luteum like in a normal cycle), that means lower progesterone and a shorter luteal phase. Which is why we take supplementary progesterone after transfer because our bodies don't make enough to keep AF away
I didn't take any Cyclogest, so if anything my period should have arrived sooner
After my freeze all IVF #1 it arrived after 12 days
So there's all this lining, and no explanation for why I haven't had any kind of bleed, or even any hints that a period is on its way

So something is not right. Hence why Dr wants to see me sooner to try and investigate further and work out what might be going on Sad

loopylou1984 · 13/06/2016 21:46

I'm so sorry, something has to go your way soon after all this crap.
Fx for some answers tomorrow, Xx

Brenna24 · 13/06/2016 22:04

Sad that is crap Banana. I hope they get to the bottom of it.
