MPP - seriously listen and drink loads! Try lucozade sport. You don't want OHSS trust me! Sounds like your follies are nearly there to me, have to wait and see what your doctor says. Will it mess up your plans if they have to put EC back a day or so?

Brenna24 · 29/07/2016 12:23

We will miss you Trixie but we understand. It is horrible to be stuck in a neverending, all consuming cycle. I hope you are back with a positive update soon.

Yikes MPP, get drinking.

bananafish81 · 29/07/2016 12:36

You'll be much missed trixie and in all of our thoughts Flowers

MPP81 · 29/07/2016 13:07

Thanks Sammy. I've been guzzling water since this morning and as a rresult, cannot stray far from the bathroom! I'll get some lucozade sport when I'm out later. Why lucozade sport, by the way? I'm intrigued! If they put EC back it wont be the end of the world but will make things less easy. DH has Mon-Fri off work and we are due to fly home Sunday, so if it gets put back he'll either have to fly back without me or see if he can get a couple of extra days off.

lucieloos · 29/07/2016 13:17

MPP, nothing to worry about with the follicles at all! They won't want to scan you Monday. They have grown really nicely and I would have thought you would trigger tomorrow as planned. From the sounds of it you had Debbie do your scan? This is why I don't go to her as she likes to offer her opinion on things and basically it's more or less always wrong. She makes sarcastic comments as well. One time I had her and had around 8 follicles which were fairly decent sizes and she said oh you must be doing timed intercourse as there's nothing much here. I just don't like her. She should stick to scanning and keep her opinion to herself! I specifically went to my scan on a different day to the one requested by Reprofit this time to avoid her as she stresses me out! With the amount of follicles you have growing you could be at risk of ohss so just make sure you drink lots and lots of water and sports drinks as they contain electrolytes.

Brno is lovely at the moment, sun is shining and we are sitting on the main square having lunch. I think we are due some rain and possibly a thunder storm of the next day or so.

MPP81 · 29/07/2016 14:48

Thanks Lucie! Will definitely try to avoid her in future! I'm obviously no expert, but I didnt think they sounded too bad, so when she said they might want to rescan monday, I got a bit worried. Nothing else from reprofit yet so I assume they are happy for me to trigger tomorrow. Can't believe we'll be flying the day after tomorrow! The amount of water I'm drinking should make our 3 hour car journey this afternoon interesting though!

Glad its nice out there for you! Let us know how it goes tomorrow!! fx for you!

lucieloos · 29/07/2016 15:05

On my first ever cycle she told me if I was cycling with them then they would cancel me. She really upset me and I asked the Czech doctor what to do and she said you have follicles, you should come and we will see what happens. Turns out it was the best round I have had and I had 7 eggs collected, 6 of which fertilised.

Yes will keep you posted about tomorrow, starting to get slightly nervous now. I hate the unknown! Just going to have a little walk around and then back to the hotel for a few hours before dinner. Catch up with you soon x

Sorry for lack of personals - am on phone so can't scroll back

Good luck lucie - hoping for some lovely mature eggs!

Wow MPP sounds like your follies are growing great guns! Sammy's advice is v sound - my Dr said lots of protein was great for follies. Are you feeling uncomfortable? I was v lucky and avoided hyperstimulation even with 28 eggs, but you def don't want to piss around with OHSS. Take good care of yourself

nowwhy I had immunes testing done with a lab in Athens, who were terrific and much less expensive than getting the Chicago tests done. However you'll still need a Dr to prescribe treatment if indicated - and not all clinics will treat for immunes. My consultant prescribes empirically for failed implantation or miscarriage, so I didn't need to get the tests done - as the treatment would be the same regardless. I chose to get them done anyway because I miscarried a genetically normal foetus, and was looking for answers. The immunes FAQ on Fertility Friends is a terrific resource - I also wrote up a post about how to get the level 2 tests done with the Athens lab (search FF for Locus Medicus Athens immunes and my username and the thread should come up!)

star personally I'd err on the side of caution and not risk it with 4 follicles, although I appreciate the dilemma! At my scan on Tues there were three leading follicles - the kicker being it seems I have too few follicles to have produced enough oestrogen to thicken my lining enough for a FET, but too many to be able to try naturally for the first time in 10 months (assuming Dr says 3 follicles is too big a risk)

Absolutely bricking it about my scan on Sunday - I'm assuming the cycle being cancelled is a done deal, but can't help that little shred of hope that maybe my lining has decided to wake up.

Never mind even getting or staying pregnant, at the moment just making it to transfer seems like an impossible goal.

star1980 · 29/07/2016 15:58

Haha, this Debbie sounds like a nightmare. Mpp avoid!
Good luck Lucie, and fingers crossed for great results Smile

star1980 · 29/07/2016 16:19

Oops, cross post with you banana. Very best wishes for Sunday - I hope your lining has miraculously thickened up. If not, I hope your dr comes up with a great plan for next steps.

lucieloos · 30/07/2016 10:58

Omg had my egg collection this morning and they collected 7 eggs 6 of which are mature!! Can't believe it. Out of the other 4 rounds I've had only 2 have been mature. The only time I have got his many is my very first round last year. Pray for good fertilisation tomorrow now. Looks like the mini IVF suits me!

Woohoo! Brilliant news lucie - hoping for some beautiful blasts - nice work ovaries! Smile

lucieloos · 30/07/2016 11:15

Thanks banana can't believe I got that off a mini. Just goes to show sometimes less is more! Anyway not getting too ahead of myself as I know anything can happen in this game but at least it's a start and I have some room to manoeuvre with that number not like when I get 2.

Lucie awesom result :)

Brenna24 · 30/07/2016 15:17

That is brilliant Lucie Grin Fingers crossed they fertilise well too.

I have a date for the blood repeats. 5th August - this friday. Not long to wait. I have my smear test right in the middle of when I am likely to ovulate (9th August which will be CD 15 and I normally ovulate between Cd 14 and 17) and DH has he SA date through too - the day after my smear (10th August). They are just going to have to cope with whatever they find in my smear (bit grim but it will have been 20 hours since we last DTD, so I am hoping won't be too minging) but DH will have to change his date to a week or two later. Then I have the dentist on the 31st of august. August is going to be a barrel of laughs.

stealthbanana · 30/07/2016 16:24

Fabulous news lucie! Obviously the mini suits you. Fx for a great fertilisation rate

loopylou1984 · 30/07/2016 17:38

Lucie that's great news!! Xx

lucieloos · 30/07/2016 17:47

Thanks everyone, pleased with that but not getting too excited as I know how quickly things can change.

MPP, hope your trigger goes ok tonight and have a good flight tomorrow.

MPP81 · 31/07/2016 00:19

Wow Lucie, thats awesome! Fantastic news! Keep us posted on fertilisation. Everything crossed for you, as always!

Brenna, sounds like you have alot on for the next month. I'm sure they've seen worse at smear tests!

Banana, thinking of you for tomorrow, and hoping you get some good news. You deserve some xx

AFM, triggered this evening in a service station off the M5. Classy! We'd hoped to get home in time to do it in comfort but it just didnt happen. It was nice and easy though, but I'm looking forward to an injection-free day tomorrow. I'm drinking and peeing loads, and DH laughed himself stupid earlier over a mental image of me drinking then leaking like a watering can from my injection sites. Banana, I am uncomfortable on and off. I'll get half hour where I just don't feel 'right' and then a couple of hours where I'm fine, so thats good I suppose. Apologies for tmi but I'm more windy than usual, and that seems to make any discomfort worse Blush. Very excited and very very nervous for tomorrow and the coming week. What will be, will be I suppose.

Waves to everyone else! Hope you're all good!

lucieloos · 31/07/2016 09:09

Brenna, pleased everything has come through for you and you can get the bloods and sa sorted ASAP.

MPP, haha I also triggered in a toilet in a cafe in Brno! The things we have to do eh! Hope you have a good flight and taxi ride today and can get a good nights sleep before your EC tomorrow. I'm really excited for you to go and see the clinic etc.

Banana, good luck with your appt today, really hope your lining has grown.

I've got to ring up for my fertilisation results in a few hours eeekk!

Good luck today banana xx

lucieloos · 31/07/2016 12:43

So fertilisation results are in and 100% fertilised!!! We have 6 beautiful little embryos growing away now and I can breathe a sigh of relief and have some time off until day 3 results on Tuesday. They have told me I will be having a day 5 transfer on Thursday which I hadn't really expected so will have to stay here a bit longer. Feeling happy though.

loopylou1984 · 31/07/2016 12:58

Luce that's amazing!!! You have such great fertilisation rates. Congratulations Smile

Will me Lucie be able to stay with you? Xx

lucieloos · 31/07/2016 13:25

Thanks Sammy, fertilisation is one thing we have going for us! I've worked out altogether we have had 20 mature eggs now and all 20 have fertilised! At least I can rely on DH Grin

Do you mean my mum? Yes she is going to stay with me. She is retired so doesn't have anything to rush back for xx
