Oh Sam my, I wish I could say something to help Sad. As you say, no one can tell you what you want to hear, but we are here to listen and hand-hold. I don't know anything about progesterone I'm afraid. It does sound like a good thing that you missed the bbq. I have a friend who has also conceived twice since we've been trying and it's difficult. I am crossing everything for you and thinking of you.

Fantastic news Banana! Hoping it all goes smoothly and it'll be fab if you and Lucie are PUPO at the same time :)

How are you doing, itsme?

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 07:05

Lucie - how did you find out it was ectopic? I assume you were in pain?
Thank you for explaining about the progesterone and the bleeding. Do you think if this is a miscarriage the progesterone will minimise the bleeding until I stop taking it? While it feels like a lot of blood when I'm hoping to be pg I'm aware that it is far less than AF would usually be.

Thank you MPP. Xx

Also, forgot to say yesterday.
I sent DH out to super drug for more FRERs and he came back with clear blue! When I queried it he said that's all there was. So I went out myself a little later and it does indeed seem that super drug no longer sell FRERS. There was no space for them in the shelf as if they'd run out. I got them from boots in the end, but why super drug? Why?

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 09:23

No I don't really think the progesterone will make too much difference to the amount of bleeding. Af wouldn't arrive unless your hcg was around zero. I wasn't in any pain whatsoever with my ectopic throughout the whole experience. I just started bleeding and it never stopped. I eventually had a scan at 6w4d and they couldn't see anything but when they did my hcg it was only around 120 and needs to be over 1500 for them to see anything but the consultant said because I had been bleeding for so long if it had been in the womb it would have been flushed out by now. When they repeated my hcgs it kept going up but wasn't anywhere near the level it should have been for how far along I was and so because it was slowly rising they said it must be ectopic. They don't know where it was basically but it wasn't viable and wasn't sorting itself that's why I needed the medication in the end to take care of it. I think my hcg was around 450 by the time I took the medication but it fell quickly then.

How are things with you today? Has the bleeding still slowed?

Thank you.

I don't want to jinx it, but so far today I had a bit of brown when I first got up and nothing since. I keep dashing to the loo thinking there's going to be more, but so far nothing.

I'm about to walk down to the park with the dog so will see what happens after a bit of exercise.

I really appreciate all your advice, thank you. Flowers

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 09:47

That's good news, I really hope that's the end of it. I know what it's like to be dashing to the loo every 2 minutes to check if there's more.

Still no af for me yet. Should be here either yesterday or today but have a feeling it will be late.

Good to hear it Sammy, it's a lovely day to get out and about and try to avoid knicker checking.

Every twinge is getting my hopes up / nervous. I woke with a jolt of pain on Friday night and have been knicker checking for implantation since. Absolutely zero, although I didn't get any bleed with my chemical so I don't expect it.

Hopefully I'll feel the fizzy boobs over the next week or so and I'll start to relax a little but right now I don't feel any different and don't feel that confident.

Itsme247 · 17/07/2016 11:09

This is totally off thread but as I'm on a housework ban (and I'm horrendously house proud) does anyone have a housekeeper? If so, what's a reasonable checklist for someone to complete once a week for 2-3hrs?

I'm a bit of a lazy cleaner so it takes me forever but i don't know what I can expect a professional to do?

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 11:16

Sadly after popping to sainsburys I have some bleeding again.

Itsme - I didn't have an implantation bleed... I did get some cramps though around 9dpo. What day are you on now?
Why are you on a housework ban?

Lucie - what makes you think AF is going to be late?

Itsme247 · 17/07/2016 11:25

Transfer on thurs of an expanded blast, so day 8?

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 11:28

Itsme, fingers crossed for you. Implantation could be anytime now. I would say hoovering, polishing and maybe bathroom cleaning for house keeper?

Sammy, sorry for more bleeding Sad

It just seems that af is always late when waiting to start IVF although saying that I'm getting some quite strong af type cramps on and off so hoping for today or tomorrow.

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 11:34

Yes itsme, any time then for implantation :).

Thanks Lucie. It's just exhausting worrying all the time.
My IC was def darker again this morning... Do they ever get as dark as the control??'

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 11:37

Yes it is exhausting Sammy! It's good that your lines are getting darker. The cheapies do go as dark as control but I found it take ages with them. What time is your blood test tomorrow?

OP posts:
loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 11:52

Blood test is at 10am. I could have had 8, but booked it a bit later so I could go to work first and pop out, rather than just being late on the first day of the week. I'm not sure how much use I'll be at work, but there we go.

I don't know if I'll get my results tomorrow, possibly I guess as they're being done early.

The stringers tests are good, but I'm well aware that more than 1 of you on here has had increasing hcg after miscarriage.

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 12:33

Oh that would be good if you could get the results tomorrow Sammy. Wouldn't be too much longer to wait then! Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Eekk had a bit of pink blood think today might be the day! Time to get back on the rollercoaster!

OP posts:
MPP81 · 17/07/2016 15:39

Hoping you get your results tomorrow Sammy!

Great news Lucie! Do you count today as day one then, or would that be tomorrow?

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 15:42

I'm going with today MPP. I know different clinics have different rules about what counts as day 1 but my cycles are fairly short so I just go with whatever day I start bleeding on regardless of time unless maybe it was just light spotting late at night. I don't think it makes much difference either way as far as I have experienced.

OP posts:
MPP81 · 17/07/2016 16:02

Yeah that's what I do too. Very glad its arriving so you can start on time!

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 18:10

Yay Lucie, that's good news :).

As for me I actually had a nice afternoon with my parents. We didn't tell them what's going on as I don't want them worrying about me.

I've only had 2 episodes of bleeding today, and it's not been much. I have however had a couple of quite strong cramps.
On their own the cramps wouldn't worry me, but together with the bleeding I'm concerned. Just POAS again and it's a very obvious positive. So whatever's happening my levels aren't crashing. One of DHs clear blues! Lol.

lucieloos · 17/07/2016 18:35

That's great news Sammy, I'm glad you've had a nice day and I really hope the results are good tomorrow and you can put this little blip behind you.

I'm trying round 2 of taking my blood again tomorrow. I think I need to try and be a lot quicker with it so might stab a few fingers all in one go lol the things we have to do eh!

JustTrixie · 17/07/2016 21:09

I've been away again and only just caught up with the thread. Sammy I am so sorry to hear that you've had some bleeding. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and crossing everything for lovely high hcg levels. When I had blood tests for hcg I always got the results the same day.

Lucie, good luck tomorrow!

On my phone so will catch up properly in the week.

loopylou1984 · 17/07/2016 22:25

Good luck for tomorrow Lucie :). You'll be fine.
Thanks Trixie. I can't believe after everything it's taken to get a bfp this is what's happened.

I've had a fairly positive day, but cramps are quite frequent and I can't help but think surely an embryo couldn't survive them and the bleeding. Gah.

Borisisback · 17/07/2016 22:31

Lucie great you are back on the roller coaster I hope this on is a nice gentle ride.

Sammy best of luck for tomorrow. Xxx

Itsme - I have a house keeper for 2 hours a week. She cleans the kitchen (not inside fridge, oven etc) and 1 bathroom (we only have one) as well as doing all floors, light dusting, makes the beds ( I leave out clean sheets and she changes them for me). She can do loads if I tidy up first - it's far quicker to clean an organised house... If you leave lots of stuff your house keeper will waste time sorting it out. We got a cleaner as a compromise to our very different standards of clean and tidy.... Now the cleaner gets to define the standard.

lucieloos · 18/07/2016 07:19

Well I failed miserably with the blood tests this morning. I stabbed myself loads of times but I just can't get enough blood to come out to fill the two tubes in the time required. I've emailed and asked for a refund and will see if I can find somewhere locally where I can go and have it done.

Good luck today Sammy x
