Another who hasn't posted in absolutely AGES. Third thread already, that's pretty impressive! I'll have a read through if I get the chance...

I think we got to two cycles of properly trying, having had all sorts from illness to bereavement to the bloody cat not coming home one night putting the kibosh on it all. I was convinced my fanny was broken (dramatic? Moi?) and bought myself a pregnancy test and a load of biscuits to cheer myself up when I had another BFN. It was only blimmin' positive wasn't it?

So 4+2 according to dates and just filling time until that magical 12 weeks when it's fine Hmm

Congratulations to all the other positives, you must be thrilled!

MoosMummy11 · 14/06/2016 11:54

Ladies when is the best time in your cycle to test (please don't laugh lol! My first was completely unplanned!) for the last few days I'm been sick, bloated as heck (probably something totally unrelated) and literally wanting to live off salt and vinegar crisps. Which is why I was asking on a previous comment about how long it took everyone to conceive. I'm probably overthinking things with the change of weather and maybe I just like salt and vinegar crisps now lol. Do I wait til I would be due AF? Yeah I sound really dim lol Blush

TryingToStayRational · 14/06/2016 11:56

Congrats themightymoosh! Sorry to hear you have had such a difficult time lately but hope things go nice and smoothly from now on Flowers

Eva30 · 14/06/2016 12:50

Congrats themightymoosh!
moosmummy everyone is different but Ovia says test 14days after ov. I am impatient, I usually test from 10dpo until 13dpo, when it finally sinks in that it's not changing from a bfn to a bfp!Grin

MoosMummy11 · 14/06/2016 13:03

Eva thank you! I will do a test Monday if a BFN I will retest at the end of the month. I just want to know why I could sleep for England, feel sick daily and throw up each day an I'm slowly turning into a salad vinegar crisp Hmm xx

RM90 · 14/06/2016 14:36

Hi all ,

I have been off the pill for around 5 months now . We have not been TTC rigorously but have just thought we would see what happens , each month I have been a bit disappointed when AF appears however it has taught me how to correctly count me cycles. This month however I am now 4 days late. AF was due sat morning and still has not came , I took a test on sat night which was negative and have repeated a test again today , which was also negative :(
I have been experiencing slight cramping on and off but more so on Friday the day before AF was due I had terrible cramps which is why it has caught me by surprise that it has not turned up. With my negative test again today I am a little disappointed , think I have got it into my head over the past few days that I could be pregnant and so has my partner. What could be causing my periods to not be showing up with these negative tests ?

Thanks Smile

Cosmicbird · 14/06/2016 18:17

Congratulations mightymoosh!

RM90 are you sure when you ovulated? Maybe you ov'd later than usual or even not at all, so your AF would be later arriving then? Maybe give it another 3 or 4 days and test again if still no AF?

Sonnet18 · 14/06/2016 21:00

Best to test on day period is due. Apparently "real" symptoms don't kick in until around the six week mark due to hormone level...this was certainty the case with my first. Good luck- hope you get your bfp soon!

Usernamegone · 14/06/2016 22:32

The trouble is lemon I already do loads of exercise and I am being good with my diet so I was secretly hoping I was going to drop a few pounds half a stone with zero effort when I came off the pill as I put on 4/5 lbs overnight when I went on it. It would be just my l luck that I put on weight when going on the pill and coming off for a double whammy!

Lemon27 · 14/06/2016 23:02

I know User it's so unfair...put weight on when you go on the pill and put on some more when you come off...😩

I need to get off my bum and up my activity while cutting back on my food. Have a wedding in July that I'd like to be a few pounds down for so that's my first motivation right now.

themightymoosh · 15/06/2016 07:23

Thanks Eva30, Trying and Cosmicbird!

I really wish I had sage advice for people re ovulating, testing and whatnot but I had to WhatsApp my friend a picture of my test to ask if it was right Blush

RM90 · 15/06/2016 10:20

Thank you , I have woke up today feeling flu symptoms so maybe that's why it's late :( if no AF today I will maybe test tomorrow. I am also extremely constipated ( lovely I know ) so again another reason why they haven't appeared .

Thanks for your help X

LemonLimeTonic · 16/06/2016 13:30

AF due tomorrow. We only DTD once and it was after my fertile window according to Ovia. Thinking it's highly unlikely but I've felt queasy all day. Threw up when I got to work this morning. No other symptoms but I'm shitting bricks. I was put drinking last Friday night. :-/ Will POAS on Saturday if no sign of AF. She's usually pretty regular. I'm out tonight with my best friend. Won't be drinking a drop. How am I going to explain this one...

TryingToStayRational · 16/06/2016 13:58

Don't worry about having had a few drinks last week, Lemon - even if you are pregnant it probably wouldn't have even implanted by that point, plus plenty of people have no idea they are pregnant til much later so don't beat yourself up at all.

If you don't want to have a drink tonight just make up an excuse like having to drive somewhere, not feeling well (sounds like that is true!), trying to be healthy, taking some medication that doesn't go well with it, or pretend you have a double something with coke but just order coke! Or you could tell you best friend even? For what it's worth I'm not avoiding alcohol completely, I'm just having the odd one. I've also discovered that mocktails can be a good coverup and cranberry and soda is actually not bad. I'm not a big drinker anyway so I'm lucky in that respect though. Hope you get your BFP!

LemonLimeTonic · 16/06/2016 14:57

Thanks Trying. I'm a little nervous. I think it's the could be / couldn't be, that's killing me the most. My mate knows we're TTC but I really don't want to tell her before I've had a chance to tell DH and we test together. Doesn't seem fair on him to not be the first to know. Guess it's double nothing and cokes for me tonight! (Awesome idea by the way!!!) Grin

Oh TTC - why you play so many mind games with me!!

Cosmicbird · 16/06/2016 17:22

Double nothing and cokes sounds good :)

I'm still 8 days from expected AF but having rotten cramps the last few days and just generally feeling yukky. Don't have any pregnant feeling but then again last time I didn't either. Bloody hate the 2ww :/

TryingToStayRational · 19/06/2016 10:25

Bloody hate the tww too! Just beginning it now, and I can already tell this one is going to feel like an age. Have injured my foot so can't even distract myself with exercise, so will have to throw myself into tidying the house or something! Hopefully in two weeks I'll have a tidy house and a BFP!

SophieBear13 · 19/06/2016 10:31

So at 10dpo after no symptoms and only temp dip at 4dpo I woke up this morning and got this...

I'm worried because aside from some mild weird feelings and veiny boobs I've had no symptoms so far... Also I read about the risk of chemical pregnancy when testing earlier which had worried me. AF due on wed/Thurs.

Relaxed TTC June/July/Beyond
TryingToStayRational · 19/06/2016 10:53

Wow, congrats SophieBear! Don't be worried about lack of symptoms - plenty of people have no symptoms til at least 6 weeks, so don't read anything into it. Hope things go really smoothly for you! Flowers

Sienna9522 · 19/06/2016 16:45

Congrats Sophie, I also tested early and worried about chemical pregnancy but my AF date quickly come and went with no sign of AF. Fx that's the case for you x

SophieBear13 · 19/06/2016 19:38

Thank you TryingToStayRational I really appreciate it. I need all the pep talks I can get!

Sienna Thank you so much I really hope that's the case for me too! It's going to be hard to wait until the first scan!

Cosmicbird · 19/06/2016 19:43

Ah congratulations Sophie!! I've never had a positive on a clearblue before AF was due, apparently they're not very sensitive, so 😬I would say it's a good sign that it picked up your bfp at 10 dpo :)

Cosmicbird · 19/06/2016 19:43

Sorry don't know where that grinning emoticon came from in the middle of my sentence there!

jennymac31 · 19/06/2016 19:46

Congrats Sophie!

Decided to take the plunge and ordered a basel body temperature thermometer and ovulation sticks from Amazon in preparation for next fertile window that is due to start next week. Started using Fertilitycheck lube towards the end of my fertile window a few weeks back so will definitely be using it every time we do the BD. Fingers cross this month will be one!

Hope you're all doing well xx

Sonnet18 · 19/06/2016 19:55

If you got a two pack then test again in a week and the test should change from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks pregnant. I had no symptoms first time round until about six weeks so don't read too much into a lack of symptoms! Just enjoy it!
