I suck at this TTC business. I'm out drinking like a fish (not smoking though so that's something!) I'm 6CD. I figure I'm clear a could couple of days before I have to lock the wine away.

jennymac31 · 25/05/2016 22:05

I know what you mean Alexia B. Everytime I seem to see anything baby related or anything cute, I'm in a blubbering mess. Think the whole TTC thing is starting to get the better of me. DH's been asking me when we can do the baby dance again, as he's keen to get on it!

AlexiaB · 25/05/2016 23:53

I'm feeling a bit better now thanks gin :) And jenny I'm the same it hits me hard and it's always everywhere you go. Your DH has a great attitude! Unsure where you both are in your cycles but good luck & baby dust!

jennymac31 · 26/05/2016 08:18

I'm in my 2nd cycle and my fertile week is coming up in a couple of days so may get cracking tonight. Will see what happens with this cycle and if I don't fall pregnant then I might leave it for July/August, as I've got a hen do and wedding to go to. The bride had asked me not to fall pregnant at the time of her wedding but I wouldn't be disappointed if I was.

LemonLimeTonic · 26/05/2016 11:09

Jenny - the bride asked you not to fall pregnant around her wedding date? Seriously? Hmm

TheresaMarie55 · 26/05/2016 11:42

What, I honestly don't understand the cheek of some people jenny, you get pregnant when you want!

I've done another test today, finally a proper line! X

Still faint I know but I'm still a little early x

Lex0503 · 26/05/2016 13:11

Ha jennymac exactly the same as me but I will be stopping in August/September for the same reason, hopefully we get lucky this month x

Lex0503 · 26/05/2016 13:13

Just seen the other replies, my bride asked me to not even start TRYING for a baby until after her wedding....which is July next year! I don't care being a pregnant bridesmaid but I wouldn't want to risk missing the wedding x

Readytosettle · 26/05/2016 13:44

I hope she was joking Jenny!!!

Readytosettle · 26/05/2016 13:45

& lex!

TheresaMarie55 · 26/05/2016 14:58

His ridiculous! Yeah, let's put our lives on hold coz you're getting married! I think not!

AlexiaB · 26/05/2016 15:14

Jenny BD lots and lots! You have to live your life and do what's best for you and your family. I'd personally never tell somebody what they can or can't do but that's just me.

neonrainbow · 26/05/2016 17:13

So AF got me after all my fussing about implantation bleeding last night. Roll on next month. I think dh is looking forward to it Wink

Eva30 · 26/05/2016 17:46

jenny and lex what selfish bridezillas! Jenny I'm the same as you, on cd9 now.
Thanks for the tips on DTD ladies - ready and raring to goGrin

jennymac31 · 26/05/2016 18:04

Nope, she wasn't joking! I did tell her that I couldn't put my conception plans on hold for her wedding so we'll see what happens between now and August. I remembered when I told my dh about this. His response was 'WTF' and 'can we just not go to the wedding?' my dd is a flower girl at the wedding so we'll be going.

I think it was a case of my friend voicing her request before really thinking through what she was actually asking of me. She didn't seem too bothered by my response so hopefully she won't be too annoyed if I am pregnant on her wedding day.

wispaxmas · 26/05/2016 18:22

OMG! Two of my bridesmaids were pregnant at my wedding and I was not his but happy for them. Same for my two cousins who couldn't fly over from Canada who had had babies in the months leading up to it.

30 TTC no 2

LemonLimeTonic · 27/05/2016 09:46

We have a family wedding in Australia next April. It's assumed we will fly over it. Funny thing is, the bride and groom to be we're in London a few weeks ago. We tried to meet up with them but they were 'too busy' to catch up. We cancelled and rescheduled all our plans to suit them and they were just like - nah, we know we said we'd meet up but can't because we're busy. Eh??? Rude much???

So needless to say, we're not 100% sure if we will be going to the wedding. We haven't told anyone in the family. We just might be too busy with a new baby/ growing a baby. (Hopefully!!!)

dynia · 27/05/2016 10:01

Some friends are staying with us for the long weekend (which FF tells me is my fertile period) while they flat hunt. We met for dinner and my friend clocked my cocktail and said, 'well, that answers that question...' I resisted the urge to say, 'we're working on it... make yourself scarce this weekend'

ginandcake · 28/05/2016 08:41

Neon sorry AF got you, fingers crossed next cycle is the one.

Rausten fingers crossed for you.

Aubergine welcome, how long have you been TTC?

When my best friend rang me up to tell me she was engaged I was about 6 weeks pregnant. She was a bit pissed off at as she said she would have to delay the wedding (she wanted to get married quite quickly to get one with some baby making get own!). Anyway she soon realised she was being ridiculous and had the wedding exactly when she wanted. And I was there with my 3 week old DD!

EJ1986 · 28/05/2016 10:04

Hi all. Im just lurking in the background at the moment, watching what happening and gleaning advice. Im hoping to come off the pill after June to ttc #1. I am really struggling not to think about it every second of every day. I am so desperate to start trying but DH is putting it off until we have finished work on the house. For now then i will sit quietly at the back of the bus watching your profress and let you know when im properly joining you. Fingers crossed to you all.

rausten · 28/05/2016 10:50

Hello all. I'm on 11dpo atm just got a bfn. AF due today. We shall see. Not over till AF shows her ugly face xxx

Eva30 · 28/05/2016 11:28

fx rausten
EJ We moved into our 'project house' 2 weeks ago but still TTC as I know it could take a while. It's very stressful, bathroom just finished so at least we can wash nowGrin I'm not sure if I'll ov with all the stress the past couple of weeks but hope so. I'd just get cracking if I were you, the house will still get done and you'd have 9 months to get it finishedSmile
