Hi everyone. I have had really weird cycles lately and I think I'm ovulating on cd20-32 so ovulation tests are a must for me. I seem to be getting a LOT of nearly positives and then they will go again but today is CD21 and I think it's a positive. I just wanted some other opinions... This is so confusing Confused

Haha yes I am exactly the same! I know where the lines should be so its really difficult. Also I think frer's aren't as good as they used to be! A few years ago I wouldn't see anything on a negative test and nowadays it really seems like there is always a slight line! I have no idea what to think. I'm more inclined to think I'm not, which is ok because I'm only 9dpo anyway so I expected it and still have some hope... Sort of. I am def cramping tonight and I have broken out in spots all around my nose (attractive) so something has got to give within the next 2 days.

With my first 3 I got pregnant pretty much straight away each time and my son was a 'one occasion' type thing but my youngest i got pregnant on the 8th month and this time it has taken even longer. I hear that up to a year is very normal for a healthy couple trying, but it doesn't fell it does it? A year seems like forever when your actually trying! Haha.

If I take a test in the morning I will let you know. Have a good evening xx

Ok so I did another test this morning and I'm pretty convinced I got my BFP!!! I'm still trying to keep grounded as I'm only 10dpo and it's still very faint BUT it's pink and it was there at the 2 min mark. The pictures are crap but in q couple days I'm going to get some more a a digital just to confirm and show my husband because he just never believes me until he sees the word! Lol. I'm cramping like crazy though today so I really hope this sticks!!! Anxiously checking for blood every time I pee already 😬

Omg princess I can actually see that this morning!!!! WOW!! I'm crossing everything for you that it sticks. I'm ridiculously excited for you lol.

Still no af for me...a little spotting which has now stopped. Cramping. Didn't test this morning. Likely to come on today I think.

But still eeeeeeek for you!!

Thank you!! I'm so excited to! Keep dancing around the house like a fool haha. I really started to think that it wasn't going to happen for me again and thought I had pcos! Thank goodness for ovulation tests with my weird cycles I doubt I would have done it the right time! I'm terrible at keeping news to myself but I have promised this time I am not saying anything to anyone until I know the gender at 16 weeks. Your the only person other than my husband I will be telling Shock

I am going to go out and buy 2 more first responses and 1 digital and take them over the next couple of days to make sure it's all progressing and once it has then I'm going to make a doctors appointment! Smile

I hope you are still going to get a late bfp! You should take a test of still nothing by tomorrow. Let me know! Xx

Well I feel very honoured to know such important news :) even though realistically I have absolutely no idea who you are lol! Will you be able to hide it up to 16 weeks? I can imagine you would have quite a bump by then!

Good idea to keep testing, it'll be nice to see that line getting darker to. I've never done a digital, when I had DS the frer was so clearly positive there was no need. I bet it's nice to see it in writing.

Still absolutely nothing here, every time I go to the loo it's like mental torture!

Report
Princessnthepea86 · 24/06/2016 12:16

I should be able to hide it until then because I'm 5'9 and have a long torso, so my bump does not show very much until I get about half way through my pregnancy. The only difficult part is going to be my sickness. I suffer from HG when pregnant, my last baby I had to be signed off work my whole pregnancy. I vomit about 8 times before I leave to take the kids to school in the morning, I lose lots and lots of weight when pregnant. I'm still excited (for now anyway)! Lol. I have got another twin pack of first response today and will take one each morning. I might not even get a digital to be honest for the reason you have just said. Might be super obvious in a couple of days anyway.

It's so frustrating when your on the tww and you spot and stop constantly.... As if it's not bad enough. It's like a roller coaster isn't it? I still have everything firmly crossed for you!! 😃

Sooooo.... I have been getting an awful sharp pain in my right side today. It's been so so bad, even when I coughed I would double over in pain and I knew something was up and I was right because I have started to bleed tonight :( so annoyed. Not a full on flow but enough to know its not spotting. Boo. I think maybe it was a chemical?! I don't know but I did another test this afternoon and it was a positive again. Oh well. Onto month 12 I guess. I will take another test in the morning to see what's going on but my feeling is that it will be negative... Also my cramps right now are unreal. I'm upset but to be honest after 11 months it felt too good to be true. 😣

Oh I'm sorry princess :( that does sound like a chemical. Might take a while for the test to go back to negative I guess? Those cramps sound awful, it's not normally like that is it? I hope you managed to get some sleep.

I'm definitely out this month, woke up to AF. Which is bang on 14 days after I think I ovulated. So whilst it's a longer cycle than normal, it does seem to be on time. I don't feel too upset. Just disappointed. Again. I'm glad it's the weekend and I'm at home. I always find it harder when I'm at work. On to cycle 8.

Looks like we'll be keeping each other company a little while longer.

I hope you're ok Sad

I have been awake since 5! Had such a bad night sleep just worrying about what is going on. I took another test at 5am and I'm totally confused now because I'm still bleeding dark red blood and I have the worst cramps ever (really bad period cramps) but my test is even darker today! If I had no cramps or bleeding I would say that it's a good progression line. Totally confused and upset right now. If something was going to happen I just want it to be over with now so I can get on and try again! 😣

Yes it is a darker line today isn't it? I wish I had some magic advice for you but I guess you're just going to have to see how it goes. Maybe test again in a few days and see what's happened then. I bet that feels like a lifetime away at the moment though.

I did actually have a glass of wine last night and then remembered why I don't drink. It gives me the shivers and an upset stomach. Every time. And yet every 6 months or so I think it'll be ok and have a drink. It's never ok! I'll have to go and drown my sorrows in a bucket of ice cream or something lol.

Ya, I only have one more test left so in going to wait it out and see what Monday brings. The bleeding does seem to have stopped now but the cramping is just insane! All very weird. I'm going to test Monday morning and if it's darker still then I will go to the doctors to both get the process rolling and to explain what's happening.

Oh no! I get like that if I drink spirits but I seem to be ok with wine. Well I won't be having any drinks this weekend either so I will join you in ice cream eating haha! ChocolateCake

Hope you have a lovely weekend. I will update you when I know anything either way xx

The line looks even darker! They might send you for an early scan, is that what you are hoping for? Must be amazing to see it in writing that you are pregnant!

I have just got back from a rare date night! Went to the cinema and scared the crap out of myself watching the conjuring 2!! Shock it was scary!!!

Well I'm going to tell them what has happened and I'm hoping they will send me for an early scan but I doubt they will if the bleeding has stopped and my lines are getting darker. I have been on a babybond website and booked an early scan for 25th July.... I have paid a £30 deposit and it's £99 in total but if the hospital will give me an early scan then I will cancel that appointment and get my deposit refunded. If all else fails then I have that appointment.

I have to admit it was a relief to see it in words. Although I still have no symptoms at all. My boobs don't hurt and I haven't even got my usual symptom of peeing all the time. I just want to know that everything is ok, but I'm sure everybody feels like that before their first scan!

Have you made a plan of action next month? Are you still going to use opks? I don't want to leave this thread until I see you get a BFP!! Smile xx

Date night sounds lovely! Sorry I've been absent for a bit...work has gone crazy and that's an understatement. Nearly lost my job/resigned this week. Could really do without the stress!

How did the GP go? Did they refer you for a scan?

Plan of action...well it'll only be cycle 3 of opk's so I will be sticking to those. I don't really have a plan to be honest. I do think a lot of it is down to sheer luck with just getting the timing right. So I'll just be relying on the opk's. Prob will start dtd a few days before I roughly expect to ovulate. According to the opk's I ovulated later than I thought I would last time though, by 3 days. So don't want to start too early because it's hard to maintain the pace!

Report
Princessnthepea86 · 01/07/2016 09:34

Yes I agree that it is sheer luck to be honest. The last 10 months or so I have never ovulated (according to opks) before cycle day 16, it's always been between 16-25! This is the one month I got a positive at cycle day 12 and we very luckily had done the deed 2 days before that day and only the day of the positive ovulation test! I really do feel like I didn't time it as well this month as I have other months, but it worked! So your right it is sheer luck in a lot of ways!

I love opks! They have never been wrong for me, and as I just don't have the time or the patience to temp it's perfect. I honestly know I wouldn't have gotten pregnant with my youngest if I hadn't taken them.

What do you do for work? Work is such a unnecessary stress when your TTC! I don't know about you but it just seems like everyone is pregnant at work also when your TTC! I nearly handed my notice in yesterday. My manager gave me a 'slap on the wrist' about something which I don't feel was my fault at all, but I'm trying to keep calm because I need my job unfortunately Sad

Yes I went to the GP on Wednesday and they have referred me so I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before I hear back from the hospital or midwife. She did say she would send me in for an early scan, I hope I don't have to wait too long!

It must be close for you to start taking opks now? Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for a positive, because that 2ww takes long enough! Fx for this month! Lucky number 8!!! 😊 X

I'm a HR officer so not only does everyone seem to be pregnant at work but also I have to process and advise on maternity!

The trouble with my work is actually I don't need to work at all. So they majorly pissed me off this week so I've had a real battle of wills in my head! I've started quietly looking for something else but for now I think I'm staying put. I think. It depends how the next few weeks go lol!

That's really good that they agreed to an early scan, I hope you don't have to wait too long either. At least you have that other one booked if you need it though.

I'm out all day tomorrow (and DS is staying at the GP's for the first time ever Shock) so I think I'll leave the opk's to Sunday. That will be cd9. Have a little break and then focus again from Sunday.

Have you got any symptoms yet?

Report
Princessnthepea86 · 03/07/2016 20:26

Oh wow you work in HR. I can't imagine that is easy when your TTC and having to deal with pregnant women a lot! I couldn't do it.

It's good that you don't need to work, at least you haven't got the extra pressure of having to stay if it all gets too much or if you don't like your job! Apart from the stressful time you are having, do you generally enjoy your job?

I hate my job, I really can't stand it but like I said, I need it. Plus whilst I'm pregnant I need to keep it for the maternity pay. I will go back to work after the baby for 6 months and then I'm going to look to find something else.

How did your ds get on at the Gps? It can either go one way or the other, can't it? They are either crying to come home, or crying because they have to come home!! Haha.

To be honest I think even though I'm getting an early scan, I'm going to keep my private one now either way. Extra reassurance and it makes the time pass faster. Plus I know it sounds very negative but after the bleeding I had last Friday night/Saturday day, I keep feeling like a sitting duck, waiting to get bad news or to start bleeding. I wish I didn't feel like this, but I have never had bleeding in pregnancy before unless it's been bad. I hope I can get reassured and comfortable.

I have NO symptoms yet still. I'm trying to not worry about that because my symptoms have always started in the middle of the fifth week and by my calculations today I'm 4 weeks 3 days, so this time next week I would expect it to start if everything is ok!

Sorry it took so long to get back. I saw your message almost immediately and wrote a long reply and somehow managed to delete it all. It took me a few days to start again! Haha. Have you started opks today or are you starting tomorrow? X

Hi princess. I've been doing opk's since Sunday and only just got a faint line today. But I've got some other signs so that's good.

Normally I do enjoy my job. I have brilliant working hours (part time and term time only) and it means I can keep a career going after the child(ren) are in school. I'm going through a really difficult time at the moment though with work and I'm not sure what will happen. It's almost the holidays though so just got to get there and then see what happens in September. It's a shame you hate your job. Is it because of what you do or the people?

DS was fine with his sleepover! He woke early but that's not unusual. Was otherwise fine. Even called for nanny from his cot in the morning! I was pleased. And he's going again this weekend lol. I think it will be the first of many sleepovers.

I would keep the private scan to. So reassuring. And if you can afford it then why not?! I've got my scan this weekend. I have to drink a litre of water an hour before the appointment. I will be bursting by the time I get seen. I wish they would just do an internal scan straight away to be honest rather than even bothering with external if it means I'll need a wee!!

How are you feeling?

Report
Princessnthepea86 · 06/07/2016 19:53

Oh that's a good sign, hopefully you will get your positive in the next few days then!!

That's great about the sleepover! I used to love it when my mil would have my 2 girls. She can't anymore because she is a bit old now and it's just too much with 3 of them!

I hate everything about my job. I mostly deal with customer complaints, which wasn't the job I started 12 years ago, but instead of offering me redundancy they just swap my job role time and time again plus they just add more and more into my job without even asking me. Their attitude is that if you don't like it then you can leave, but of course I can't afford to so I will be taking my maternity this time and doing my 6 months after, then I will start looking for another job. I really don't want to deal with customers directly anymore, I would rather stack shelves in tesco any day of the week! Haha.

I hope things settle down at work for you so you don't have to leave. Sounds like if you can ride this out then you could have a nice career there, like you said, when your kids are older.

I went to the doctors last Wednesday and I still haven't received a scan date/appointment or a call from the midwife so I don't know what is going on. With all my other kids I was seen so quickly or at least given a future appointment quickly. I will give it until early next week and maybe call them and find out what's going on. Really glad I did book an early scan myself now because of not hearing anything, plus I'm still not feeling sick which has me a bit concerned BUT my morning sickness didn't start until 5 and a half weeks with my other kids and I will only be 5 weeks tomorrow, so I'm not worrying too much about it!

Oh yes I forgot about your scan this weekend! I hope it goes well and shows everything is perfect. I know what you mean about drinking and having a full bladder, honestly I'm useless with holding my wee. I think my bladder is the size of a peanut!! I'm going to be a classic Tena lady when I get a bit older 😂
Xx

How was you scan? I hope it was okay.

No symptoms here but it's far too early. We go on holiday next Friday so looks like we'll find out while we're away. I'm only 6dpo at the moment.

Have you had any symptoms yet?
