loopy that's such great news! So lovely that everything's looking good. Just take it one scan at a time and you'll get there.

So I'm apparently 21 weeks tomorrow. Had 20 week scan today at dr S'S clinic. A beautiful little girl, everything looked as it should.

So sad to see what happened at parliament today. If that had happened tomorrow it would have been my DH on that post.

sunnyday01 · 23/03/2017 09:48

hey snoopy

glad yo hear all is going well, and you have a lovely little girl to look forward to. When are you due? July?

Yes awful about London - would your DH been guarding the HofP where that policeman died? Scary thoughts.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 23/03/2017 10:14

Yes. He usually protects embassies and Downing Street but they sometimes do overtime at parliament and that's what he's down to do today. Thank god he's armed, I understand that poor PC wasn't.

Due the beginning of August. I am excited and petrified in equal measure. How are you feeling?

sunnyday01 · 23/03/2017 14:19

wow, like you say a different day and it could have been completely different. That unarmed poiceman was so brave - its reported he just ran forward. Very brave thing to do.

I'm feeling ok, will be 12 weeks on monday and have nhs scan on tues so hopefully if that shows all is ok, i can relax a teeny tiny bit. Sickness started to subside too which is nice as i need to start eating appropriately for gestational diabetes (assumed I will have it again) but all i have been able to eat the past few weeks is chips and crisps! Like you I am slightly scared of having 2 under 2, but also excited about have another one as it feels like the icing on the cake after waiting so long for Toby, and part of me never expected us to have a second.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 01/04/2017 07:07

Yay for your scan snoopy.

London worries me a lot, my DH commutes down to there every day and I wish he didn't have to.

I had my Panorama results back yesterday, low risk for everything and its a little girl!! After 2 boys I just assumed this would be a boy too so am still in shock but very very happy as always wanted a daughter. Will be 11 weeks tomorrow and have NHS dating scan next Thursday, if that goes well then I might start to believe we could be having this baby!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 01/04/2017 07:13

Oh and re 2 under 2, it is really hard work (22 months to the day between my two) but I found that when we got to 6 months it got a bit easier, being able to sit them down together for meals and then less breastfeeding each day as a result made life easier. They squabble a lot, even now though as they have grown up together, the eldest has no memory of life before his brother came along. They are very close which is lovely but the younger one always wants to do whatever the older one is and doesn't view himself as being younger and so won't take no for an answer easily, he is very determined/stubborn. Neither views the younger one as being younger which isn't always a good thing when the older one is talking about division and the younger one can only do addition and subtraction which in itself is bloody good for a 4 year old who isn't even at school yet!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/04/2017 09:23

Our dating scan was all good, measuring bang on for dates and so am trying to be more positive that we might actually be having this baby. Have told family, and just hoping with all my heart that this ends well.

I hope everyone else ends up with happy endings too, I am so glad I went down to Epsom to Mr Shehata's clinic, I just wish I'd done it sooner, I wish things like this were more advertised and that people were more aware of the help that's out there.

Chlo22 · 08/04/2017 16:04

Hi ladies,
So much info and so many heartwarming posts on this thread.
I've just had tests for rcm which all came back negative but our consultant has prescribed me 5mg of prednisolone for 2 months and clexane to start taking in the hope we do get pg. she said results often come back negative but people might have these issues on a very low underlying level so try taking the medicine anyway in the short term. Has anyone else done this? Thanks ladies

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 10/04/2017 22:50

Mr Shehata prescribes 25mg pred and Coventry prescribe 20mg, not sure 5mg will do much if you have NK issues, have you had testing done?

Chlo22 · 11/04/2017 08:36

Thanks for reply. I've had testing and everything came back negative but my consultant wanted to prescribe anyway as she said some people may show negative but still have it very mildly.

sunnyday01 · 13/04/2017 08:42

Hi! Hope everyone is well. I'm 15 weeks now, had my last appt and intralipids at Epsom yesterday - funny to think I'll probably never return there. All seems to be progressing well!

Drttc · 13/04/2017 14:50

Such great news Sunny!! Can't believe how many wonderful outcomes this thread is having. Do you have any suspicions on gender?

Snoopy/ Hope you and bump are well too!

pickledsausage · 14/04/2017 08:51

So pleased to see that your pregnancies are progressing well sunny & snoopy! How long did it take you to get pregnant after starting treatment?

I'm on my 3rd month of pred and getting impatient...not the right headspace to be in I know!! 2ww is sending me bananas this time as well, I've been quite positive & zen about it all up until now. Probs as it's a year since my last mc, really hoped I'd at least be pregnant again by now.

I'm only 6dpo and symptom spotting like a crazy person, argh.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 14/04/2017 12:17

Hello chlo. I guess taking 5mg won't have a negative effect and anything is worth trying. Glad to see there are some consultants out there who are becoming a bit more open minded.

Wow sunny, that's amazing! I know that feeling, I was almost a little sad to think I might never go back to the clinic because everyone has been so supportive and helpful, very weird.

drttc how are you? I've had this awful cold for coming up to four weeks (and cystitis and then thrush AngryBlush). I'm coughing so much I'm worried I might give myself a hernia haha

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 14/04/2017 12:20

Oops missed your message pickled. The frustration is understandable. How are you finding the pred?

I don't think I'm the best person when it comes to talking about quickly I get pregnant because I do think I might have hyper fertility, always get pregnant first or second time trying, but dr S doesn't believe in that theory.

Even with no problems at all many couples take up to a year so don't lose heart

pickledsausage · 14/04/2017 15:29

Thanks for replying :)

I'm finding the pred absolutely fine, a few times where my heartbeat felt a bit funny but it goes away quickly. How did you get on with it?

Oh wow! Well I hope everything goes perfectly this time for you.

Yes true, and I had an operation to remove an ovarian cyst a few month ago so perhaps my body is still recovering. Who knows!

pickledsausage · 18/04/2017 07:41

I got a very faint positive this morn! Cracking on with the pred and cyclogest and booking in for my intralipids. Eeeeek

Whispered congratulations pickled!!!Smile

harrietm87 · 21/04/2017 09:30

Hello. Found this thread after snoopy posted on my thread about happy endings after 3+mcs, googled dr shehata and feel like my eyes have been opened! (Thanks snoopy)

I've had 3 early mcs in a row, each conceived on first try. One at 4+4 last year, one at 5 weeks in Feb and just found out I've had a mmc - the one I conceived in March stopped growing at 5.5 weeks, so that's 2 in 3 months. At least I'm efficient.

I have hashimotos and lots of autoimmune diseases in the extended family (though no fertility issues whatsoever - big Irish family).

I thought that getting my tsh under 2 was all I needed but clearly not. I'm being referred for NHS testing but have also booked an appointment with Dr Shehata in mid-May, earliest I could get and in Epsom which is a bit of a trek!

I've been feeling pretty desperate and now have some hope. So great to read all the positive stories on this thread.

pickledsausage · 21/04/2017 09:58

@harrietm87 sorry for your losses :( and so close together as well, it must have been so hard for you.

I hope Dr Shehata gives you some answers and a plan of action xx

harrietm87 · 21/04/2017 12:13

Thanks pickled and congratulations!

I'm trying to find the positives in my mcs - early ones must be better than late, at least I've realised quickly there is an underlying issue, im lucky can afford dr S privately etc. It still really sucks but I'm looking forward to moving on! Having MVA on Monday.

jaffacakes16 · 21/04/2017 19:19

Hi just popping in to say hello. I'm currently 10 weeks and on pred/progesterone/blood thinners. This is the furthest I've ever made it after 3 early mc's so I'm hoping the drugs are working.

Harriet I have hashimotos and my private consultant prescribed prednisolone as standard so you may be able to find someone closer to help you out.

For those of you who were on steroids when did you taper off? I'm starting to worry something will go wrong when I stop taking them in a couple of weeks.

pickledsausage · 22/04/2017 07:10

@harrietm87 very true! What is MVA?

@jaffacakes16 hello! So glad you're progressing well! Are you having the scans every 2 weeks with Dr S?

harrietm87 · 22/04/2017 08:33

pickled its manual vacuum aspiration - erpc but with a local anaesthetic. Only takes 10mins so quickest of all possible options. It will probs be a horrible 10mins but I'd rather just get it over with.

jaffa who/where is your consultant?

I'm going to try to request as many of dr s's tests from my GP as I can - hopefully they'll do thyroid antibodies, progesterone, coeliac - anything else I could ask for?

jaffacakes16 · 22/04/2017 18:09

I'm in Ireland so probs not much use to you! It's definitely worth getting your gp to do as much as possible I can't remember all the tests I had there was the antibodies one you mention but also an antibody to do with diabetes (I don't think I'm making that up!)

On the 2 week scans pickled...I get so nervous before them very envious ofthose who have innocent pregnancies where scans are something to look forward to.

I'm only with my consultant till 12 weeks but I'm debating blowing my savings on private the whole way. My confidence in NHS isn't great as I've still not had any contact re booking in appointment and given my thyroid I should have had an early appointment!
