shell good news about the ovulation, fx for you for some good news too.
Welcome blondie and meg :) my oh has his SA next tuesday and then we can finally move forward, got referred in December so it feels like it's been going on forever and we have gotten absolutely nowhere as yet.
I start my new job in a couple of weeks, not ttc related I know but still...I felt really ill yesterday afternoon and just thought oh god I bet I am preg now after waiting so long so just going for it with a new job. Don't get me wrong if I was it would be fantastic but I can't pretend it would be the best timing. However! I've felt absolutely fine ever since, just symptom spotting as usual. Don't know why I do it to myself. I have one pg test left over from a two pack I bought ages ago and keep thinking I might take one to see what it says....except I k ow exactly what it will say, so I don't bother. Does anyone else get like that? I suppose a lot of you guys are going through the actual treatment so know a bit more about timings etc so maybe it's just me (really hoping I'm not the only crazy one though lol)

Shellbell0403 · 08/05/2016 19:47

mysterious that would be amazing if it did happen!! Normally when you don't concentrate on it and make a big change, book a holiday etc that's when it happens haha!!

Well all day today I've had crampy feelings etc. Could be af although not due for a few days!

Hi all,
I have been lurking for a couple of weeks so thought I would say hi as all your posts really help me!
Congratulations to those with BFP. I have been ttc 13 months and was diagnosed with pcos last November. Makes sense as my cycle is over 100 days and has been really irregular since coming off the pill. I was referred beginning of April and DH needs to have SA before the appointment will come through

Hope you've all enjoyed the sunshine

Blondie0912 · 08/05/2016 20:04

Hi Ladies,

Happy Sunday!
elle I think I can see it too - I'd test again first thing tomorrow!
Mysterious that would be awesome- I am keeping my fingers crossed for you- life does tend to work like that sometimes!
Shellbell- we've been TTC for about 3m now (so really not very long in the scheme of things!!!!) but I luckily knew something was up with me back in November/December time as a I went off the pill in July and hadn't had AF- so the GP have been great and pushed me through lots of tests etc. Glad I've found out about PCOS early... it seems so common now- as soon as I told my mom and sister they both had lists of people with the same thing (who have all had multiple kids!) so it made me feel way better! What about you- how long have you been TTC/known about PCOS? xox

Blondie0912 · 08/05/2016 20:05

Oops also meant to say hi and welcome to Barsons !!!!!!!!!!!!!

mysteriousbat · 08/05/2016 20:13

shell and blondie yeah it wouldn't surprise me with the timing. My job isn't stressful in itself but the crap management and office politics make it so, so I'm hoping for some natural improvement when I'm out! But it won't be a bfp now unfortunately. Ive been pregnant twice and both times felt extremely sick extremely early on and knew without a test! Back in the days when I actually got a period this was mind you! Hmph. Also shell crampy feelings don't necessarily mean af ;) i have everything crossed.
barsons hi! We are almost twinsies haha, we have been ttc for 13 months and was diagnosedd with pcos in december. Also awaiting SA here!! Do you have an appointment yet or are you still waiting?

VillageFete · 08/05/2016 20:19

ellewalker I see it!! Let us know how tomorrow's test goes, but i'm pretty certain that it's congratulations time for you! Congrats! Have you done anything different this month?

Well I'm on day 25 and AF is due on Tuesday or Wednesday thanks to the clomid. I have been really emotional, had crampy pains ALOT and also like a slightly sharp pain in my right hand side, where the ovary would be I think? Now, usually I get crampy pains a few days before AF is due,but not those stabby ones. Shall I just not bother getting my hopes up now and accept it wasn't to be this month? I have typical PMT symptoms, really narky etc, so AF will very likely rear her ugly head soon.

MegGriffin1 · 08/05/2016 20:24

Congrats pregnant ones! I feel narky today and I have a spotty chin which may be a sign af is coming. Does anyone feel sick a lot? I do and am convinced I'm pregnant but I'm not. Hoping for clomid on Tuesday it would make sense. From GP who diagnosed pcos to first appointment was three weeks so it was quite fast!

mysteriousbat · 08/05/2016 20:24

Early preg symptoms are a lot like pmt I think. Depends on your body though of course.
You're not out til you're out! Good luck, I really hope you're in and not out at all.

mysteriousbat · 08/05/2016 20:25

Blimey meg that's superfast!!!!!

MegGriffin1 · 08/05/2016 20:30

Yes mysterious my GP was wonderful really. We went in February worried had scan and bloods 5 weeks later, saw GP again then got hos appointment in three weeks. They said I have mild hormonal imbalance and I'm still young so I might need a kick start so to speak. Let's hope it's positive. I've actually planned my life without children these last few weeks to prepare myself

Barsons83 · 08/05/2016 20:42

Hey mysterious we're still waiting. We sent off the form about the SA last week so if we'very not heard anything by Friday will phone up. People we've met that are much further ahead than us say it's best to keep calling about appointments

mysteriousbat · 08/05/2016 20:57

Was that the form for an SA appointment or the actual SA? I cant believe we are finally a week and a bit away from the SA appointment. Literally took us 2.5 months to sort that, although not due to the hospital in their defence.

mysteriousbat · 08/05/2016 21:01

Meg my doctor told me my imbaalnce wasn't too bad either but in my case I think she was just being kind lol. But I do think, and the gp also told me this, that the vast majority of women with pcos will have a baby, it's just a question of finding what works. So I think it is more positive than it first seems, just getting into the system can take a while. Is anyone ttc #2? I am a little concerned we won't get much help as I already have a dd, albeit conceived naturally and with a different partner.

Shellbell0403 · 08/05/2016 21:01

village i think we are on par with each other... my af is due between mon-wed, had crampy feelings and sore boobs and tired.

mysterious keep smiling and I'll keep my fingers crossed.

blondie we have been ttc for nearly two years, we got married in 14 and started then. I came off the pill but then nothing was happening and went to docs, got referred quite quickly and sa, scans, dye test all done and started actual tabs this Jan after I lost over a stone.

meg glad they are fast with your referral etc!!

OP posts:
VillageFete · 08/05/2016 21:13

See shell I'm missing the sore boobs part, so that's my only glimmer of hope! My boobs are usually heavy and sore before AF. I have all my other usual pmt symptoms though.

Mysterious Yes, i'm trying to conceive number 2. I also have a DD who is almost 7, same partner though and she was conceived pre PCOS, i'm certain I didn't have it back then. Because we've been trying for almost 2 years I have to say the NHS were pretty good, they never made it an issue at all that I already had a child, the only thing is I don't qualify for clomid or IVF without paying for it.

mysteriousbat · 08/05/2016 21:22

Interesting village thanks for the reply. I'm sure I didnt either. So what do you qualify for through the nhs? O assume the no clomid or ivf is due to already having dd? You've done clomid though haven't you, or am I getting mixed up?

MegGriffin1 · 08/05/2016 21:23

Village do you think you've developed pcos ? I don't believe I've always had it. I actually think the pill has alot to answer for !
