Original relaxed thread: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2537105-relaxed-ttc-feb-march-april-2016

Hi all, thought I would start a new thread before we capped the earlier one. Here's hoping for more laid back BFPs and a bit of OT chat.

Everyone welcome, waiting to try, TTC, not preventing, being hopeful, and trying not to flip the fck out squinting at lines on sticks.

I'm not sure what that could be fingerscrossed, hope everything is ok.

I think I'm ovulating, but the kids are being nightmares at bedtime so by time they are asleep and were able to dtd I'm really tired.

I'm trying so hard to stay relaxed this time, i manage it sometimes, but mainly I'm obsessing!

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 28/04/2016 20:25

fingerscrossed I've had similar cramps kind of centralised in my abdomen and thought the same, googled ectopic and scared the hell out of myself!
Is it worth a quick call to the gp?

I am cautiously putting it out there that I had a faint BFP this morning. Definitely there but faint. Also took 2 tests this evening which are obviously fainter (but still visible) so I'll be doing another in the morning to see if it stays.
Me and DP aren't celebrating just yet as I've tested a day early and I need a decent positive to be sure but I'm secretly a bit excited Smile

ButtonTum · 28/04/2016 20:46

Congrats Rosie and Chelle! Go team!

rausten · 28/04/2016 21:36

Congrats 'chelle' and 'rosie' i took a test last night (couldn't resist) BFN but I still have time so possibly still could happen Smile YAY for BFP!!! Fingers crossed for everyone else xxxxxxx

chelle792 · 28/04/2016 21:48

Congratulations Rosie!

fingerscrossed I pretty much have permanent discomfort and already don't like the feeling of my jeans or bending over. I had it last time from the beginning and the baby was in the right place last time. I hope you get a bfp!!

SunnyDays1987 · 29/04/2016 06:35

Congratulations Rosie! Sorry I've been a bit absent recently, I am trying to remain relatively relaxed about it all! Love checking in to see some BFPs though!

sparkle789 · 29/04/2016 07:05

Congratulations Rosie!

Fingerscrossedxx · 29/04/2016 08:21

Congrats Rosie!

AF a few days late now. Bought a clear blue digital yesterday, tested this morning but still a BFN. Arghhhhhh. Stomach cramp not as bad today. So maybe it's just a stomach bug that lasts for days and I'm not pregnant.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 29/04/2016 10:31

Thanks everyone Smile
I took a couple more tests this morning to help convince my DP that this is actually happening as he doesn't want to get excited too soon and the lines are definitely still there so I guess it's real Shock

Fingers I used a CB digi this morning and although all other tests were positive that one said not pregnant - I found the best result both times was from the Superdrug's own early response ones so they might be worth giving a go?

SunnyDays1987 · 29/04/2016 12:28

Yeah digis measure 25 (whatever the measurement is in) and like FRERs measure 10 so I'd always go for a more sensitive one first time!!

Congrats Rosie when are you due?

rausten · 29/04/2016 12:30

Am I getting overexcited or is a tight ache and brown spotting a good thing???

SunnyDays1987 · 29/04/2016 12:46

I've had brown spotting before a BFP and also before AF so can't possibly know I don't think! When is AF due?

rausten · 29/04/2016 12:49

In the next 3-5 days but i've started to get af pain so I think perhaps I'm kidding myself :( xx

chelle792 · 29/04/2016 13:16

Don't rule it out, I've had awful af pain and I had my bfp!

wispaxmas · 29/04/2016 16:46

Congratulations Rosie!!

It's not very heavy but my AF is here I think. Heyho, better luck in cycle 2 xxxx

Fingerscrossedxx · 29/04/2016 17:17

Rosie and Sunny -Thanks for the tips. I've tried various brands, superdrugs early test on dpo 11 and 13, boots one on dpo 15 and CB digital on dpo 18. All BFNs. We are going away for a long weekend so will give this testing thing a break. If AF still doesn't arrive when we are back then I'll get the superdrugs early test again. (So no wine for this weekend then... )

Have a good weekend everyone! And fingers crossed for more BFPs!

TheresaMarie55 · 29/04/2016 19:59

Well, looks like AF has reared her ugly head a few days early here. Only been off the pill four weeks and this is my second period, great Hmm . I'd be more disappointed but we're having a kid free night out soon and its safe to say the drinks will now be flowing lol x

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 29/04/2016 21:29

Sorry to hear AF has arrived rausten and theresa
Sunny all being well I'm due January 6th.
Fingers crossed for everyone Flowers

Blink1982 · 30/04/2016 00:48

Accidental tww here. We were avoiding april because we didn't want another January birthday 😀

BuffaloCustardbath · 30/04/2016 03:41

Congrats Rosie!
No sign of AF here yet but I haven't tested either - cycles have been erratic lately so I'm hoping to wait it out till mid-week but who knows.... I might cave tomorrow/Sunday!

Sorry to hear about AF rausten and Theresa - hopefully next cycle us your time!

Kitty1977 · 30/04/2016 06:53

Hi, im new here 🤗 and ttc after having mirena removed 2wks ago (had 2 coils back to back over 10yrs, with zero AF during that time period) we have bbd at least every other day so far, lol. I have sore bbs, nausea and dry mouth, done 2 tests and both BPN. Does anyone have experience of ttc after mirena? I wonder if my hormones are just all over the place atm or if its too soon to test? I am 39 and have 2 children over the age of 10.

SunnyDays1987 · 30/04/2016 07:35

BOOO to AF arriving for those out this cycle. Theresa I had no period for 8 weeks after coming off the pill (other than the withdrawal bleed), so it's crazy to me that you've had one so fast! On the plus side it's good your body has kicked back in straight away and fingers crossed for next cycle for you.

Welcome Kitty. Sorry for the BFN, no experience with the coil but I'd imagine coming off most contraception could cause AF to go a bit all over the place for a while. I wouldn't imagine you would have ovulated straight away after having it out though so I'd imagine 2 weeks later is too early to test. Like I say though I have no experience with the coil so I might be wrong!

wispaxmas · 30/04/2016 07:54

blink1982, FX for AF to up, then? I guess? How many Jan birthdays are there? I've considered skipping September when the time comes because there between 8 June and 6 July there are 6 birthdays (me, DD, DH, both ParentssIL, and my sister). Plus our wedding anniversary bang in the middle. It's a busy 4 weeks, but luckily it's as far from Christmas as you can get. Busy January would feel expensive right after Christmas!

Kitty1977 · 30/04/2016 07:55

Thanks Sunny i think you are right, too early to test. A week ago i had really sharp pinching feeling that came and went about 6-7 times, deep inside uterine area, wondered if maybe that was implantation or something? It was centralised pain, not to left or right like OV pain. Should i wait another week then test again if no AF? I already feel like i wish I'd get AF, so I would at least have a starting point to work from! Lol
