Thread for anyone TTC for over ten months. Please feel free to join us!

Took the liberty of starting a new thread (with what is obviously a brilliant piece of rhyme!) as I assume everyone else is sleeping peacefully right now :)

Thanks stealth, yes would be great if you could pm me the name it sounds lovely!

beanhunter · 15/05/2016 17:06

Fingers crossed for tomorrow stealth

Banana - good luck for your scan

Lucie - hope things have been ok this weekend and the pain is better.

We've had a quiet weekend. I'm feeling pretty broken by the last week. Trying not to lose all hope but scared to hope at all and get my heart broken. Feel ok. Hate hate hate the pessaries.

stealthbanana · 15/05/2016 17:24

lucie yhm

bean am not surprised you're not feeling great. What a horrible experience all this has been for you. Hope you have managed to get some rest this weekend. How are you feeling physically? I must say that I actually prefer doing the pessaries rectally - was forced to switch to doing them that way and would never have chosen it voluntarily (!) but they are so much less messy and Intrusive once they're actually in.

BorisIsBack · 15/05/2016 17:33

This thread just made me laugh out loud. It's our wedding anniversary next weekend and we are just looking for hotels and spas in the new forest :) waves to stealth and lucie - what great taste we all have. We haven't booked anywhere yet so at this rate we will be camping :)

Glad you are feeling better lucie.

Brenna take care of yourself, sounds stressful.

Thinking of bean and stealth at the mo.

Trixie - hope you are doing ok.

Waves to everyone else.

beanhunter · 15/05/2016 18:37

Stealth - mine are utrogestan. I'm not sure if they can be done the other way?

stealthbanana · 15/05/2016 18:47

Ah. Not sure. I've got cyclogest. They are multi purpose Grin Maybe ask your doctor?

lucieloos · 15/05/2016 19:09

Bean, I was on utrogestan and yes they can be done the other way Hmm

stealthbanana · 15/05/2016 20:18

Oh and Boris - we are clearly ladies of exceptionally good taste!

Brenna24 · 15/05/2016 20:34

hugs Bean.

JustTrixie · 15/05/2016 21:23

I'm doing ok thanks Boris. Trigger is done which is a relief and I get a day off injections tomorrow.

Stealth, I hope you manage to get some sleep, good luck for your scan.

Glad you're feeling better Lucie.

Brenna, so pleased you don't have long to wait for your referral.

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 09:24

Glad the trigger is done. Is egg collection the next stage after that?

I still can't quite belive that we have an appointment for next week. It is a huge relief.

Poor DDog is still not quite right this morning. He was sick at 12, out for a poo at 2, sick at 4 (three times) and out at 6 and 8. I am a bit shattered today. he is also highly indignant that he missed dinner last night and is seeing no sign of breakfast arriving either.

maplebaby · 16/05/2016 10:23

Brenna glad you got your letter through and you don't have to wait too long for your appointment. Hope ddog feels better soon, poor thing (and poor you for having to clean up!!).

Stealth sounds like a lovely relaxing weekend - glad you got to chill out and enjoy it. Fingers crossed for today.

Thinking of you bean hope you can take the pessaries up the other way!

Yay for trigger Trixie hope you are feeling alright and EC is soon?

AF is imminent for me, reckon I will be CD1 today or tomorrow.

BorisIsBack · 16/05/2016 10:45

Oh trixie that's exciting, enjoy your drug free day. What time is your egg collection?

bananafish81 · 16/05/2016 12:14

brenna so sorry about DDog, poor him and poor you! So pleased the appt has come through quickly

Welcome longing

Hope you’re having a fab weekend away Sammy

Hurrah for drug free day trixie, everything crossed for you tomorrow. How are you feeling?

Glad you’re feeling less ropey lucie - what’s next in terms of monitoring?

bean thinking of you, we’re all rooting for you and the little beanlets and here for you. And good luck with the Utrogestan up the bum - hey, it’s IVF, we left modesty a looong way back

stealth good luck and can’t wait for you to see stealthini - excited for you!

boris hope the bun is cooking nicely in the oven - wedding anniversary plans sound lush!

maple sorry about AF, but hoping this next cycle keeps AF away for a good long while

Had my first tracking scan this morning, we have 22 nice evenly-sized follicles, mostly around 10-12mm Shock

Consultant is v pleased, wants to stim me slow and steady, so staying on the low dose stims, aiming for EC week on Weds

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 12:19

Thank is brillliant Banana. Best of luck. Flowers

stealthbanana · 16/05/2016 14:01

Yay for drug free day trixie. Hopefully it'll be the last one you have for at least 12 weeks!

Oh brenna poor DDog. Definitely have stern words with your mother. That is not cool.

maple new cycle new start. Fx it's a lucky one.

bean keeping everything tightly crossed for you.

banana you are on track for a bumper crop! So happy for you!

AFM, I've just come from the doctor's office and with a huge sigh of relief can report that we saw a little foetus and heard a nice strong heartbeat. Managed to work myself into a proper state before the scan and am just coming down off an emotional overload, but obv am so happy in amongst it all.

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 14:05

That is brilliant Stealth. So great to hear. Fingers crossed everything continues well from here.

It was my godmother. I am seeing her tonight and will have words (although my husband will see her first as he gets there earlier - I suspect by the time he is finished I won't need to say much Grin ).

lucieloos · 16/05/2016 15:02

Wow lots of good news on here today!

Stealth, so pleased all went well at the scan and you can breathe a sigh of relief. Fingers crossed the remainder of the time goes smoothly for you.

Banana, brilliant number of follicles! Looks like you are back to your former self. I think I'm going to try estrogen priming on my next round in the hope it will do something for me.

Trixie, good luck with the egg collection tomorrow.

Sammy, how was Tenerife?

Bean, hope you're ok.

Afm, I have another blood test on Wednesday to see if the injection has worked. It doesn't look as though it has going by the pg tests at the moment! I have contacted reprofit and got my mini ivf protocol set up ready for July hopefully. It is not as intense as full IVF. I only need on scan on day 10 and will be on 150mg clomid and 150iu Gonal f. Itching to get started with it now. We just want one more blast if possible and we be amazing if we could get it off this as it's a fraction of the price of full IVF.

Brenna24 · 16/05/2016 15:37

I really hope it has worked Lucie. You have had this going on far too long. That is exciting about the new round, especially if it is so much cheaper. Best of luck.

bananafish81 · 16/05/2016 15:42

Amazing news stealth!

All sounds great lucie - re estrogen priming, was discussing this with my consultant (before we'd seen my bloods and ovaries and assumed I was still DOR!) and he said it was great for artificially suppressing FSH to prime the follicles, but the problem with using estrogen on its own was the risk of premature luteinisation. I know some clinics use an antagonist during the priming stage (or down regulating like Dr Sher) - although Cornell seem to use estrogen priming on its own, so they obv find it works. Anyway just thought I'd relay, as it was something we were potentially going to explore....

beanhunter · 16/05/2016 16:14

Great news stealth.

Fingers crossed lucie.

Told you so banana!

Afm I'm properly fed up. This time last week I was excited and optimistic and 12 hrs from egg collection. Today I just feel like I've failed.

JustTrixie · 16/05/2016 16:34

That's brilliant news Stealth, so pleased for you! Hopefully you can relax a bit now.

Hope your ddog is better Brenna. Yep, EC is the next step - Eek!

Boo to AF being imminent Maple.

All sounds really positive Banana! I'm feeling ok thanks, a little bit nervous. Terrified that I'll turn up tomorrow and all my follicles will have vanished.

EC is at 9am Boris, have to be there for 8 30 for DH to do his bit though. Glad it's not too early.

Bean, i'm with Stealth re the pessaries. The IVF 2ww is horrendous let alone after what you've been through. I wish there was an answer to getting that balance between hope/protecting yourself. Sometimes the only thing to do is distract yourself as best you can. You've not failed, you've been incredibly unlucky Flowers

Debated going into work today but glad I didn't as I've been able to get on top of everything here. All ready for tomorrow now.

Hope the blood test shows that your levels are dropping Lucie. The mini IVF sounds really good, glad you've got it booked.

I'm a bitConfused re my intralipids. My understanding was that you have one around 10 days before transfer and then when you get a positive test but my dr said it's best to have it within a week of transfer and then weekly....which could get very expensive! Had one on Thursday and debating booking another one then waiting until test day as a kind of middle ground. Nothing ever seems to be straightforward....

lucieloos · 16/05/2016 17:29

Thanks banana, how would you have premature lutenisation in the luteal phase? Sorry I haven't read up too much on it all yet. I would be taking cetrotide a few days after starting stimms. Hmm not sure what to do now then. Maybe I will try and get some info out of dr sher!

Bean, don't give up hope, the 2ww is hard but you have had 2 embryos transferred which were at the stage they should be on transfer day. Unless they had considerable fragmentation I can't see them being much different to anybody else's embryos on that day (day 2?). You have every chance for this to work.

Trixie, I researched a lot around the intralipids and have never heard of anybody having them that frequently. I think most go for one on bfp and every few weeks after that.

beanhunter · 16/05/2016 17:38

Lucie I was day 3. They were at best day 2 standard so at least a day behind where they should have been. And they were so pessimistic.
