Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Congratulations gundog ! That is most definitely a line!

Dare we ask about the incident cori ?

Random question, but does anyone have any ideas on how to stop nipples showing through when wearing nice summery tops?

coribeth · 15/05/2016 11:55

ain lets just say the shit didn't hit the fan (thank god!) but it definitely hit me the floor and treatment couch! Then we discovered patient was positive for c diff total night mare had to call a decontamination team all I can say is thank goodness for pinnys and gloves did feel sorry for the poor lady though she was mortified Blush as for nipples have you tried blister plasters?!

Ain626 · 15/05/2016 22:28

It doesn't sound too pleasant cori but that poor woman would have felt awful..

I will try blister plasters but I thought they might show through too..

I bought a top in my current normal size yesterday, put it on today, it's too big. Will have to return it next weekend.. its meant to be a loose fitting top, but it's too loose fitting. Annoying that I have to exchange it, but yay as that is a promising indication that things are working even if the scales are jumping all over the place at the min..

In other news, I've had a couple of extra emotional days, ewcm galore, cramps, headaches and nausea... cd22. Hoping these are positive signs of something happening...

stumblymonkey · 16/05/2016 07:01

Hello viroids....

Have been on a girl's weekend to Split - much fun has been had by all and now just waiting for the taxi to pick us up for the flight back. It's been great to have a break and not think about the redundancy etc.

Good news on the house front - our references went through with no mention of looming redundancy by our HR shared services team because they almost certainly don't actually know so we move into our new place in 1.5 weeks of manic packing.

Congrats to Gundog. Have to go for the taxi now....

AliceScarlett · 16/05/2016 14:46

Good news Stumbly

I woke up this morning fully expecting to feel AF pain as I usually do. Nothing. But I'm going to have to wait. If you're 14dpo could you in theory get a bfp with like 3rd afternoon urine, or does it have to be fmu?

AliceScarlett · 16/05/2016 14:48

Coribeth A feacal incident Shock rather you than me!

stumblymonkey · 16/05/2016 21:14

Angela...sorry AF got you today Brew

Kwick...The grievance has come after an employment lawyer suggested I raise one re: disability discrimination.

Very long story but to cut it as short as I can: high performance scores before diagnosis/illness when I worked very long hours turned to 'satisfactory' scores afterwards. Company agreed to a 'reasonable adjustment' of me working my contracted hours but manager said no way of me achieving more than satisfactory without working long hours, told I couldn't be assigned to projects in line with my capability/seniority in case I was ill again as it would be "difficult to explain to Business Sponsors" but then given less bonus because "I had been off sick and hadn't been able to do such large projects". All this and I've had four weeks off in the last eighteen months which is not bad going with a severe mental health issue. Anyway...went to an employment lawyer to go through the ins and outs and they suggested a grievance letter plus 'without prejudice' letter requesting additional damages.

Kwick709 · 17/05/2016 08:02

Ain hope you are doing well my lovely. I saw a beauty hack last werk that suggested nursing pads for nipple issue Confused

Kwick709 · 17/05/2016 08:08

Great news stumbly about flat. Am really not impressed by your HR team gives my profession a bad name

AliceScarlett · 17/05/2016 08:10

Cori I don't think anyone's asked after my vagina before Grin There is no news, normally by now I'd be having mild cramps, but there is nothing. 4 days til POAS.

GOT was brilliant wasn't it. I love Khallisi.

I'd like a new job if there is one going? Anything other than NHS MH sevices would be great.

Kwick709 · 17/05/2016 08:10

angel real sorry about af Flowers

Kwick709 · 17/05/2016 08:13

stumbly glad you are pursuing claim - sounds like your company is not very caring. We do not discount sick from bonus even though some try

Kwick709 · 17/05/2016 08:17

alice I want a new job too!!! Hopefully something will come up soon where I work - less travel and resp. would be good.

WHERE THE FRICKING FCUK IS MY AF!!!!!

AliceScarlett · 17/05/2016 08:37

WHERE THE FRICKIN FUCK IS YOUR AF?

Maybe its a bit out of routine after last cycle.

I'd like to get into HR, apparently that is one of the few professions with transferable skills from mine, I looked into HR assistant though and not only was it a pay cut I'd also need previous hr experience Confused it seems impossible to change careers.

Catscatsandmorecats · 17/05/2016 09:51

Hello Viroids!

Corgi how lovely to see such an upbeat message from you, I hope the hangover was worth the fun Grin

Stumbly I'm so pleased you had a good weekend and a bit of a break from all the crap, and great news on the house! Your work sound awful, that is totally discriminatory, good you have a lawyer on board.

Cori Ugh! I am sometimes pleased I have a boring office job.

Alice GX GX GX.

Kwick Lovely to see you as well! AND WHERE THE FRICKIN FUCK IS YOUR AF?!! Hopefully it'll show up soon. You sound very passionate about your profession, I bet you'd get a new job no problem.

I'd like a new job too, it seems all of my upset is coming out when I am at work, I think I am projecting a bit. Our circumstances mean I can't look for something else at the moment, so I am just going to have to stick it out for the time being. I am hoping we make it to a successful pregnancy soon so there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and obviously for lots of other reasons too! It should have been my 12 week scan today, I am working from home fortunately so if I do get a bit tearful it doesn't matter. That said, being at home I am a bit happier anyway. I want to get back on with TTC now but I don't think AF will come for another couple pf weeks yet, which seems ages away.

coribeth · 17/05/2016 13:56

Flowersfor all those who are currently fed up with jobs or out of work I've had some real crappie jobs in the past but feel very blessed that I absolutely love everything about my current job and so lucky that even on a 'bad shift' like the other day we still have such a laughGrin hopefully everyone will find there perfect job soon!

NameChange30 · 17/05/2016 17:07

stumbly I don't want to be too specific but I have been trying to change career direction - not completely, as my experience and skills are still relevant, but enough of a change that I'm applying for job titles I haven't had before, and that seems to be making it tough. I'm also being picky about the roles I'm applying for Grin

I mentioned in a previous post that I'd asked the interviewers for more feedback and didn't think they would reply - but actually they gave me a call. It was helpful. And they are such a nice company, I still really want to work for them! I have another interview coming up for a different job, but it's not a given and I would definitely have preferred the other job. Oh well, maybe I will get preggers and won't care so much about jobs any more!

Anyway. Hope your negotiations go well stumbly and hope everyone else is doing ok, work-wise and womble-wise! Grin

NameChange30 · 17/05/2016 17:09

cats Glad you're working from home today. Hope you're taking extra special care of yourself Flowers
