Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like 'something' = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing a Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Not been a very good JSer this cycle, both me and DH have had the lurgy so dtd has taken a back seat :( hopefully managed to get in a few qualifying ones before icing though. Bring on the TWOT!

Kwick709 · 04/04/2016 16:12

stumbly awesome fred title - well done!

corgi I am so so sorry Flowers

Kwick709 · 04/04/2016 16:24

So here are my stats:
Kwick709
Age: 41 but only admit to 21
TTC #1
I have done 5 cycles of IUI and a cycle of IVF - 14 pregnancy & 1 blood test later I am BFP however have no symptoms and am still in shock. If you go by wierd way they calculate due dates I am about 6 weeks, if you go by embryo transfer date I am about 4 weeks.

I took 1000mg vitamin c daily for IVF cycle (as well as loads of other things, plus I had a 2ww regime - happy to share for newbies).

FuzzyOwl · 04/04/2016 16:33

Being a hero for a man is an easy job! Grin

I just took folic acid last cycle and evening primrose oil (3000mg) until ovulation. I did take Pregnacare conception beforehand but they made me feel optimistically pregnant and nauseous when in fact it was just AF arriving! Hmm

justtheonethen · 04/04/2016 16:51

Well I emailed my consultant's secretary to ask why the hell I haven't had an appointment yet as when I called the admissions team they said I was still bottom of the list and it could be August! Obviously put it nicer than that but basically complained and asked if this shouldn't qualify for their 18 week referral to treatment promise.
She emailed me straight back and cc'ed in the admissions team and service team and apologised for any anxiety the delay has caused and asked admissions team to comment so hopefully I'll get an appointment soon.

justtheonethen · 04/04/2016 16:51

Appointment for lap that is!

CountryGal4 · 04/04/2016 16:57

Hmm small cup?! Quite. You should claim your a hero for putting your socks everyday

corgi88 · 04/04/2016 17:54

thank you viroids for cheering me up with your banter and sending me lovely wishes. already posted this in grads but real corgi is keeping me good company and I have planned with great care my first gin and tonic in 2 months....

corgi88 · 04/04/2016 17:56

my stats (not that it really matters currently):
Name: corgi
Age: 28
DC: none
furbabies: 1 corgi, see above
TTC #1 since Jun .15, BFP1 Oct 15, mc Dec. BFP2 Feb 16, mc April. going to have a word with my womble to kindly sort itself out.

NameChange30 · 04/04/2016 17:57

corgi I'm not a dog person but that is a very gorgeous dog you have there! Enjoy your cuddles and G&T Smile Wine (we need a G&T icon!!)

Canters15 · 04/04/2016 18:08

Real life corgi is gorgeous. Glad he's doing a good line in cuddles. What's your gin of choice corgi? I'm rather partial to Hendricks but had this amazing niche fancy brand gin I bought at a food festival just before we got married, and was sadly necked by dhs relatives- I got one glass out of it! I fantasise about that gin daily!

NameChange30 · 04/04/2016 18:14

I knew a gin connoisseur and asked about his gin of choice - he said Williams Chase. So I took his word for it and tried it. Williams Chase Seville Orange is gin of the gods.

Not a London Dry girl, myself.

justtheonethen · 04/04/2016 19:03

I love Millers gin with tonic and a slice of cucumber

Kwick709 · 04/04/2016 19:04

realcorgi you are such a lovely doggy! Yes you are!!!

just is lap exploratory? Hope you get a date soon.

Really not so great... Need to go on to knickerwatch but was on a train now in a taxi. sick feeling might have something to do with popcorn, pringles and m&ms consumed on train 😬

Kwick709 · 04/04/2016 19:06

^ really should read feeling

Canters15 · 04/04/2016 19:23

I have told DH I am buying a big-ass bottle of the fanciest gin I can lay my hands on as soon as I am able to drink again. Don't think I've had millers, definitely haven't had Williams chase. Off to Google....

WaitrosePigeon · 04/04/2016 19:55

Helloooo

NTNP DC3. Ovulation pain last wed and thurs. Was a total come bucket all last week. Got some period pain today. Hoping it's implantation.

Or maybe I just need a big shit.

Catscatsandmorecats · 04/04/2016 20:08

Ooooh, gin talk. I enjoy Bombay Sapphire, we live fairly near the distillery where you can do a tour. In the tour there is a bit where you sniff things to find out your favourite gin ingredients. Then at the end they make you a gin cocktail according to your taste. It is fabulous!

SockQueen · 04/04/2016 20:11

My DH also complained about the difficulty of catching all the jizz in the apparently unfairly narrow container. He suggested some sort of funnel device.

I've had Williams Chase vodka but not gin I don't really like gin and it is goooood.

Stats:
Name: Sock
Age: 31
DC: currently 17+3 with DC1.
Furbabies: 0, though am contemplating kidnapping the very cute and very friendly black cat that lives in our cul de sac and follows me every time I go out.

NameChange30 · 04/04/2016 20:17

Waitrose Hello there - you sound fun! I particularly enjoyed "come bucket" Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 04/04/2016 20:51

Welcome Waitrose!

TTC vitamins, in direct contrast to recent years where I stuck some frolic in the teabag cupboard and hoped for the best, this time I've had DH and I on high dose vit C, and me on frolic, vit D and aspirin since BFP. Rattling I am. But if it works...

Waitrose I'm a fan of your use of "come bucket", we take a liberal drenching approach around here Wink
