Mrs it might not be af, it could be implantation bleeding maybe? Did you have implantation bleeding with your mc? I've never had any kind of spotting with any of my pregnancies, the only signs I get early on is dizziness. With both my girls that's what prompted me to take a test.

This morning I've had a massive dip in my temps, had a few really sharp pains in my foo when I was trying to get to sleep and having cramps again this morning. Really hope that doesn't mean af is on the way so soon. Despite being so tired it took me almost an hour to drop off, think I'd gone past the point of sleepy and was over tired then. Feel slightly more fresh this morning but still tired and can bet I'll be having a nap after work today!

Loki17 · 25/03/2016 07:59

So I'm 12 dpo today (if I ovd when the cheapie said I did, even though the clear blue digital ovulation tests said no). I've had sore boobs and lots of cm. I did a frer and got the faintest squinted come up inside the time. I broke the test apart and could see this. What do you think?

Oooh Loki!!!!!!!!!!

JoMalones · 25/03/2016 08:13

Oh Lucky, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I hope it is just a bleed, being stuck in limbo over the bank holidays is horrible Thanks

Loki17 · 25/03/2016 08:16

It's much pinker in rl. I'm shaking. Dh thinks it's positive.

LuckyinOctober · 25/03/2016 09:28

That's exciting Loki! So my bleeding has tailed back to brown spotting now, decided to do another HPT to see if there was still a line. There is, but it's fainter than the other two I took before, and DH isn't convinced by it. It probably fits most with another early MC that will take a bit longer to fade completely. My plan is to ring the EPU to ask their advice on whether to have 48 hour bloods to track it or just do another HPT in a couple of days, expecting to see a negative. I can't get through as the line's engaged, but hoping that might mean they're open. Like you say Jo being in limbo over the bank holidays is tricky! I don't even want to have a cup of tea or go for any significant length of walk if there's a chance my bean is still in there, on the other hand if I've had a MC I'd like to be able to enjoy home comforts (tea, wine, exercise, nice cheese among others) to make it a bit easier.

Lucky I hope you can get throught to epu and get some answers.

AmyB1986 · 25/03/2016 09:59

Wow Loki that's positive for sure didn't even have to open the pic on my phone to see the second line!! Congratulations Grin

Lucky would it be best to ask the epu if they could do the beta hcg bloods for you? Hope you're ok.

Loki17 · 25/03/2016 10:03

Hope you get through lucky. I'm so sorry that you are going through this again and keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Jo - how did you get on with your bloods?
Thank you everyone. I'm a wreck. I'm going to hold off thinking anything until I test again tomorrow.

Pacothepidgeon · 25/03/2016 10:20

No. Dtd three just times. CB digital ovulation tests never went positive despite using them at the right time so I thought I'd missed my surge. I had ewcm after af but not at all during the normal time. We bd'd on CD 9, 11 and 12 then had a row and didn't dtd at all after that. Before my mc I always ovd on CD 14. After mc I ovd on CD 16 last month and cd12 this month. I got a positive on a cheap test that I did alongside CB digital opk CD 11. I assumed cheapie test was wrong because the digital are so much more expensive so I thought they'd be more sensitive. I've spent the month thinking I missed ovulation.

redstrawberries101 · 25/03/2016 11:14

Lucky and jo, I can't imagine how you are feeling just now but you both sound strong. Thinking of you loads and sending good wishes. Please keep us posted , if you are up to it.

Loki I'm soo happy for you! We miscarried at roughly the same time on the July thread and I really hope this is one to stay. I think sometimes by relaxing, we allow our bodies to conceive. I've heard stories like that in the past. I'm currently in the fertile window. So far have dtd every other day. Our first month properly trying - the last two I wasn't emotionally right although we didn't prevent , didnt dtd much either.

What's the smep method?!

FlourishingMrs · 25/03/2016 11:21

Loki, very well done 💐💐💐 that's definitely positive, it's funny how it all works, it seems to happen the month you put in the least effort. Ovulation dates are so temperamental so every on their day in the fertile week is the best approach I think. I have ovulated as late as day 23 or as early as day 12.

IC ovulation tests are more sensitive than clear blue, so are superdrug ovulation tests..

Sorry for anyone having a difficult time, hope we get more positive stories from everyone over the next few weeks..

Brenna24 · 25/03/2016 14:07

Hi Banana, Orange and Penelope*. So sorry you are here.

Banana I had a MMC which was discovered at 10 weeks (baby died at 8 weeks, the day after a scan with a heartbeat and perfect growth from another scan at 7 weeks). I miscarried at 11+3. The worst of it lasted 5 days of cramps and heavy bleeding. Then I went straight into a cycle, ovulated at 5 days later than normal counting from the day of the mmiscarriage starting. I did bleed for nearly 3 weeks, but ovulated just after the bleeding stopped. My niece on the other hand took about a month to fully miscarry and her cycles still aren't right, so it is quite individual.

Loki, so many congratulations. I think that makes us up to 7 people this month. I really hope this one sticks.

Lucky, I really hope you are wrong and yours is still sticking. I hope everything is going well for Jo too.

Hello all and thanks for the kind thoughts and support, I went to the EPU this afternoon and blood HCG was low enough to confirm MC without a need to do another. At least now I can have guilt free wine, cheese, coffee and tea again. I also found it helpful to talk to them about the chances of having a third MC (no increased risk apparently) and to know what the options are if I do get pregnant again. I asked the nurse I saw about the PRISM trial (where women at risk of miscarriage who have had a positive scan get progesterone or placebo) and she said it hasn't actually helped anyone have a healthy baby yet, and the progesterone might stop the body from rejecting the baby, but that this might not necessarily be good if the baby had a chromosomal problem, which is the most common reason for MC. She told me I can have an early scan at 8 weeks if I get pregnant again, and can be referred on to the Consultant if a third pregnancy ends in MC. Hopefully of course, the next one will be a keeper. Had a trip to Holland and Barrett after that this afternoon and bought evening primrose oil, agnus castus, pregnacare conception vitamins for both of us, raspberry leaf tea and nettle tea as they've all been discussed on message boards/ natural fertility sites as helpful for healthy ovulation and hormonal balance. Back to TTC for me, hopefully it'll be third time lucky. Feeling surprisingly philosophical and calm about it all now I know where I stand.

AmyB1986 · 25/03/2016 19:14

Oh lucky so sorry this has happened to you but glad you're feeling ok. I've read something about seed cycling, apparently it can really help with ttc and conception. It pretty much eating different ground seeds at different stages of your cycle. Sound quite interesting and easy to follow.

Keys I know I'm not pregnant yet but I've been following the thread you're talking about. Hope you and your baby are ok and you're feeling a bit better.

I still feel pretty crappy don't know what is wrong with me. After work I had a shower which drained my last bit of energy, I ended up in bed for 3 hours. Woke up feeling so sick I actually sat on the bathroom floor near the toilet for half an hour until it passed. Still feel really tired despite the extra sleep.
