Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount!

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I am resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

When you post stats, add your predicted test/af date. We are currently running at about 49% pregnant with the grads thread over in ante-natal which we all hope to join soon.

No idea Kwik had it saved in Pinterest for awhile, been one of my favourites and I try to remember it often!/

Kathrino · 22/03/2016 22:09

Oh Kwick, what utterly brilliant news!! So thrilled for you!!

IrregularCommentary · 22/03/2016 22:20

Kwick that's such amazing news!! Oh, congratulations xx Flowers Flowers

SincerelyRosie · 22/03/2016 22:21

Kwick & Vix my favourite quote:
^Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?^

vixarooni · 22/03/2016 22:32

Love it! I also like, "a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor." One I deal with daily, "expectation is the root of all heartache" this one too, everything you want is on the other side of fear"

Finish with a hopeful one, "every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for a moment that is yet to come"

I need to get these on my walls I think!

Feefeefs · 22/03/2016 22:32

Congratulations kwick!!!

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:42

Confused I completely understand. I could not try for 2 years or anything like that. Just not who I am... Plus I don't want just 1 kid so I don't really have the time. I wouldn't want just 1 child nope.
Kwick you are amazing and everyone here is sooooo happy you got that positive ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks
Jam thanks for your words of encouragement SmileSmileand I know you mean well ThanksThanksThanksHowever, I am a woman of science and when people say "it will happen" I always go to the evidence. It might not happen at all! There is no proof to show that it will happen to me, and it does not happen to everyone. So, without being 100%sure that it happens to 100% of women within a reasonable period of time, how can people promise "it will happen" I think it is cruel to promise such things.(I don't think you are cruel, I am talking about the cliche saying"
I also dont think that there is scientific evidence to the "relax and it will happen" if you could think yourself pregnant or non pregnant we wouldn't need contraceptives!
Island SmileThanks** thanks for your words as well, but I am definitely not religious or anything, pretty much empiric and practical, so I guess different people see this ttc in a different way. And I can't believe that something will happen if I know there isn't a 100% proven reason that it actually will.
Vixarooni I think that is amazing your mum tried for so long Smile and here you are in your lovely self as a result.
Ni I thought it took up to an average of 1 year before you have to start looking into infertility issues. I dont think it is a maximum of 1 year and then for sure you are up the duff

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:43

My bold text again
Sorry Sad

Evergreen15 · 22/03/2016 22:44

Pug
I think I'm going to put off testing a day or two more, and try not to scare AF into arriving. i have very little patience though..

I'm 12dpo.
I still have no breast pain(not even nips anymore), which I have never not had at this time of the month since I was 13. Some very mild cramping is starting.
I'm not at all irritable(again, impossible!), but I am excruciatingly tired... And(tmi) I'm very wet down there.

Kwik!!!!!! I am so excited for you, lovely! Congratulations :) praying it all goes swimmingly for you!

Lyssie · 23/03/2016 00:33

Ever I want to hug you better! I'm so sorry :(Thanks

Lyssie · 23/03/2016 00:39

To add to my list of stuff that isn't happening: I haven't gained my pre-period weight. Usually I puff up 5-7 lbs before AF hits me. I'm not even bloated.

ElleSarcasmo · 23/03/2016 05:51

Squeeee! Congratulations Kwick!!!!! Bloody hell you deserve it after all you've been through.
Flowers Flowers Flowers Flowers

I have some good news today as well!

ElleSarcasmo · 23/03/2016 05:54

So excited! Might have to wake DH and tell him! Btw don't trust Internet cheapies-the top stick in the photo is an IC from the first FMU as the positive (crap sainsbury test...no frer, rookies error!) and the second is an OPK.

Lyssie Jem and Confused still have fx for you!!

RaeSkywalker · 23/03/2016 06:15

Congratulations Elle Flowers

RaeSkywalker · 23/03/2016 06:17

Did you wake your DH? I woke mine up, he took one look at the test and went "well it's not a very strong line is it?"

Hmm

He is excited now. He'd just never seen a positive test before. I was not impressed though!

Jamjar12 · 23/03/2016 06:23

I understand Ever, I hope I haven't upset or offended you. You're cycle 4 or 5 right? That's the same as me and I know how long that feels when you're waiting for this pretty much impossible miracle to happen. I truly hope it happens to you soon, please don't lose hope. I don't know what's worse, being a hopeless optimistic or an educated pessimist- either way sucks when AF comes around! ThanksThanks

A huge congratulations to you, Elle! Wonderful news. Did you wake up your partner? I asked my DH last night if he'd rather I had told him in a slightly more organised and special way and he was just like, why what's the point? Haha, men!

Evergreen15 · 23/03/2016 06:53

Evergreen15 · 23/03/2016 07:00

Jam no you didnt offend!!! No!! I think your way of seeing things is SO much better and I wish I could see things that way! So I ask to see if people give a reason to be able to have that attitude as well... But I can't Sad. I am trying... Don't think your way is wrong lovely SmileThanks.
I think optimism is better Smile
I try Confused but it is hard.
Hugs, you are lovely SmileThanks

Evergreen15 · 23/03/2016 07:00

And yes Jam, cycle 5 Confused

Mileymoocow · 23/03/2016 07:18

Ok ok ok I genuinely couldn't be grinning harder this morning! What amazing news, ladies!

kwick I KNEW you were preggo!!!!!!! Congratulations lovely, you deserve this so much!

And elle what brilliant news!!! Congratulations to you too.

Here's to a healthy 8 months ahead

Pugmummy87 · 23/03/2016 07:19

Congratulations elle

So many bfps! I hope some of this rubs off on me this cycle!
Woke up this morning cd6, normally af would have finished by now, maybe some spotting, but no, heaviest flow I've had all week with really horrid cramps. My temperature only finally dropped to normal af levels yesterday as well. Beginning to wonder whether I had a chemical pregnancy this month after getting that faint 2nd line Friday and then a bfn as this is all very unusual for me. Suppose I will never know for sure. Not sure whether to find that reassuring or not!

Ever I am very much practical about these kind of things, I hate the ttc lottery, I hate the fact I have a condition which does affect fertility and makes my chances even less likely. However, I do see women in my job who have struggled for years to get pregnant, have been through countless fertility treatments and then miraculously do fall pregnant naturally after 'giving up'. So I suppose that gives me some hope.

Sadly, naturally I am a bit of a pessimist by nature (which I hate), so I find it really hard to remain optimistic. I admire those that do I really do.
