I thought I may as well start up the April bus since af rudely kicked me off the February bus, and my dh isn't here for March!

Been ttc #4 since September last year. Tricky as dh works abroad so much! I think I'm due to ov on the 3rd of April and dh is home on the 1st, so fx we catch it! I'll be testing round about 17th April.

Anyone else ready to hop on board to keep me company? I have a large bag of mini eggs to share Grin

JCmummyx1 · 05/04/2016 14:28

JCmummyx1 · 05/04/2016 14:29

I am only 2 days late too

Sparrowlegs248 · 05/04/2016 14:35

Ooh congratulations!!! A line is a line!

Will you test again?

JCmummyx1 · 05/04/2016 14:38

Im going to test again tommorow first thing before work ahh im so excited but trying to stop myself just incase

TryingToStayRational · 05/04/2016 14:50

I cracked, POAS and unsurprisingly got a BFN. I'm only 10/11DPO so should have known better but there we are. Been feeling really tired, bloated and nauseous the last two days, which is prob just PMS, and my temp chart looks a bit triphasic. Gah I hate obsessing like this, it is so pointless and I want to give myself a good slap really!

Thinking ahead to something I do have control over, what have ppl found are the best OPKs to use? Anyone tried the fancy clearblue with double hormone whateveritis? Might console myself by getting one when the witch strikes!

TryingToStayRational · 05/04/2016 14:51

Yay for JCMummy that looks like a BFP! Smile

BertieBotts · 05/04/2016 16:32

Very clear positive there JCM :) Congrats!

happysunshineandrainbows · 05/04/2016 16:58

Yay jcm!!

I think I can test from the 17th (5 day before next AF is due) desperate to find out and we've only been properly trying for a week. :'-)

underrugsswept · 05/04/2016 17:45

Congrats jcm!

samk15 · 05/04/2016 17:55

Giraffes I think I might love you a little bit after calling me a 'young lady'! Grinmade my day. I thought it was around this time, I have warned DP that he will be busy this week!! I've even shaved my legs and everything Smile

Searching thanks for that. I'll try and test around 2 ish- I was wondering what time in the day was best.

Everdene I will ask doc, previously I'd tested with first thing because it was concentrated but now I know that's not the best time to test. I bet it's very frustrating trying to BBT with epilepsy. I haven't even thought about temping yet. I'm going to start Asprin abs see if that helps.

Notta I have warned DP that he's got a busy week! How are you getting on?

Looks positive to me JCmummy- congrats!!

Trying I am the same, I have no patience. The 2ww feels like a 2 year wait. This will be me in a week or so. Deep joy lol

Tabitha78 · 05/04/2016 18:02

I'll test again in the morning. I'm not holding out much hope!

I had a long journey on the buses last time and was thoroughly put off early testing with all the disappointment and heartache that it can cause. I find af arriving much easier to deal with.

TryingToStayRational · 05/04/2016 22:59

Hope you have an easier ride this time, Notta. And good luck with testing - hope you are pleasantly surprised!

samk15 · 05/04/2016 23:06

I feel the same Notta. I've been well and truly put off testing early. Weird how AF arriving isn't quite so hard to take. I don't really understand why that is.

Tabitha78 · 06/04/2016 08:03

Fingers crossed Notta!

Sparrowlegs248 · 06/04/2016 10:00

Bfn. As expected. I'm OK about it though.

Sam it didn't happen to me but I saw so many people on here agonising over faint lines, or getting a line then testing several more times and getting bfn. It's awful. I think you don't get your hopes up as much if you just get af.

Thanks trying

TryingToStayRational · 06/04/2016 10:27

I guess the thing about AF is that it is definite, whereas with testing there is always still that "well it could be a false negative" thing and so more uncertainty, which sucks. Also I tend to feel more emotional in the days leading up to AF - I could cry over the daftest things - so no wonder I lose the plot slightly. When AF arrives I am usually past that phase and back to being vaguely sensible again! Another BFN today and am not going to POAS again unless the witch doesn't arrive on time (she is usually punctual).

Notta and Sam I will try to think of your very sensible words if I find myself tempted again!

BertieBotts · 06/04/2016 10:33

That's very true about emotions before AF, actually.

CarrotVan · 06/04/2016 13:45

Hello. It's been a while since I was on a bus (3 mcs last year then a ttc break) but lovely to see some familiar faces although sorry you're on buses and not antenatal threads (waves at *weechops^. I've been having lots of investigations and am still waiting for a hysteroscopy but have the go ahead to ttc anyway

notta have you tried taking pre-natal vits before bed? I get horribly sick from iron supplements too but if I take them before bed it's ok

Tryingtowait · 06/04/2016 15:55

Hi guys this is strange for me but 6dpo massive temp drop today below cover line (as in as low as pre ov temps) felt so knackered and sick all day. Was just making cakes with my son and had to run to the loo and threw up quite a bit. Still feeling rough :( don't know if it's a bug or whether to get hopeful as its so early really want this awful feeling to be worth it

BertieBotts · 06/04/2016 16:05

Ooh interesting Trying. How annoying that you have to wait now to find out!
