Brilliant fertilisation results Boris!

Good luck tomorrow Lucie. Will be interested to hear all about it. Hope you've got a good book to read.

loopylou1984 · 03/03/2016 20:41

Congrats Boris, fab results! Fx for plenty of blasts to choose from :).

I just replaced my estrogen patch, and because I've used both hips already a I've had to put it on my bottom and I've made the mistake of putting it on standing up and now it's rather tight when I sit down! Oops!! X

JustTrixie · 03/03/2016 21:06

Oh no Sammy. The things we go through...

Have a bit of a dilemma. I've been invited to a hen do at the end of September. Sounds like it will be a weekend somewhere in the UK with activities...don't know whether to say yes or no. If next cycle works I'd be about 5 months and we plan to do a couple of FETs if not. It's the hens sister organising it btw so don't really want to reveal my fertility woes.

lucieloos · 03/03/2016 21:10

I would say it all depends how close you are to the hen Trixie. If it was a really good friend I would go because even if you are pregnant you don't need to drink and can join in with things and if you aren't pregnant you might be glad of a weekend away inbetween fets but if it was somebody I wasn't that close to I would probably make an excuse not to go.

Sammy, oh dear lol Grin

Absolutely fab news, Boris! I'm so pleased for you!

Oh no Sammy! That sounds... uncomfortable!

Glad things are going well, Lucie and Trixie!

BorisIsBack · 04/03/2016 06:44

Trixie I have a similar dilemma, I'm bridesmaid for a friend in October but hen do is overseas in August. Saying that I don't have much spare cash as we have to buy a car and in out of annual leave so I can't yet gaurentee being able to commit to hen do but that I really want to go.... I'll have to get off the fence soon but I'm spinning it out for as long as possible. I Iike lucies advice if the hen is a close mate go, and tell her sometime to explain, and if not don't.

BorisIsBack · 04/03/2016 07:16

Mpp how are you? X

stealthbanana · 04/03/2016 08:12

boris that's awesome news. Hurrah!

trixie I would definitely go. I'm a big believer in not letting all this interfere with life. If for some reason closer to the time you can't go you can always cancel - even if you lose the money. You can't keep your diary free forever!

I had a scan yesterday and everything on track. Around 8 follies at 16mm and a load coming up behind at the 12-14mm mark. Doctor wants to keep growing everything slowly to maximise follie haul, so I am staying on the low dose gonal f for a few more days - looking at EC next weds/Thursday/Friday. Am completely over being on stims - am sore and bloated etc - but trust he's figured it out properly. So...more waiting! Next scan Monday.

Have good weekends all!

stealthbanana · 04/03/2016 08:12

Ps sammy lol. This is all v v undignified!

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2016 08:19

Stealth - great news on the follies, somehow it makes the discomfort seem better if there's something good to show for it!

Trixie - I'd say yes. If you're pregnant and have to pull out and lose a bit of money you won't care, and if you're not you'll be missing out on something fun for no reason. Or as others have said you may be able to join in with parts of it anyway.

I've got my update scan this morning, please think thick lining thoughts everyone! Xx

BorisIsBack · 04/03/2016 08:23

Stealth - wow that's a great number of folicles. I do feel for you having stimms for so long but soon enough it will be worth it.

Sammy - definitely thinking if you. Let us know how you get on.

lucieloos · 04/03/2016 08:29

Stealth, brilliant number of follies! Keep growing away.

Sammy, wow I forgot it was your lining scan today. Wishing you lots and lots of luck for a lovely thick lining.

I have my intralipids in a couple of hours. I'm feeling nervous although I don't know why. I seem to get nervous for any appt related to IVF nowadays. I think I am a little worried because the letter from my clinic said it was for a fet so I'm having to get clear in my head what I'm going to tell them.

Lucie sending loads of possitive thoughts your way. Good luck. X

bananafish81 · 04/03/2016 08:38

boris amazing news on fert rate - how are you feeling?

trixie I personally would have the intralipids as well as the pred - I know most immune tx has them together and Dr Sher is a big advocate of them together. Wishing you tonnes of luck

sammy good luck with lining scan! Thinking thick!! BTW when I had to wear fentanyl (like morphine) patches, I used to keep em taped down and protected in the shower with clear tegaderm plasters - can highly recommend them!

lucie everything crossed for you - I think it's entirely understandable to feel nervous, this process doesn't get any easier, we just know the drill more!

stealth amazing news on those follies. Slow and steady def wins the race

Waves to everyone else - apols for lack of personals, on phone and can't scroll back

Hugs and Thanks to all xx

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2016 09:15

Thanks for the tip banana Smile So far they are staying on fine though, it's getting them off that's the problem!

Thanks for all the luck everyone, will update afterwards. Scan is at 9.30. Xx

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2016 09:19

Just noticed there's wifi in my clinic waiting room, there's a bonus! Lol.

loopylou1984 · 04/03/2016 10:09

Lining 7mm and ovaries quiet. She's put me down as ready for transfer end of next week, and I'll get a call later with instructions on pessaries (Confused) and an exact date and time! Eeek! So I carry on with the estrogen for now. Xx

lucieloos · 04/03/2016 10:12

That's great Sammy! At least it's thicker than last time. Sounds like it's all systems go. Eeekk exciting not much longer to wait! xx

NoPlanYet · 04/03/2016 10:26

Great news Boris and looking good for stealth too.

I don't know much about lining thickness yet so I hope 7mm is a good result sammy, fingers crossed for you.

I'm still waiting for my contac5 from Guys,I emailed them last Friday- I thought their website said they'd be in touch in 2-3 working days so I'm impatient already! Think AF is about to show up which makes me sad obv...

TBH it's nice to be on a thread where people are actively making things happen by getting medical help. I think this is what I'm going to have to do so this is really helpful in normalising it.

Off to look up intralipids

JustTrixie · 04/03/2016 10:27

Hopefully they don't ask too many questions Lucie and you can just be a bit vague, I'm sure it will be fine.

Good luck Sammy! FX for a lovely thick lining - ha, very wise words.

All sounds really good Stealth, not too long to go now.

Thanks for the advice re the hen do ladies. The hen is a friend I've known for a while but we only meet up a couple of times a year- she knows about our treatment. I would only know her and one other lady (who also doesn't know anyone else so would feel a bit bad for her if I didn't go) hmm, if a similar thing had happened last year then I would have been pretty disappointed to miss out. I like to think with the immune treatment it will work out this year but who knows. Think I'll say yes for now and just say we've got a lot on this year and there is a possibility of having to drop out.

Good luck with your day 3 results tomorrow Boris, sounds like everything is going really well so sure it will continue to do so.

JustTrixie · 04/03/2016 10:31

Ooh, cross post. Great news Sammy!

I'm impatient too NoPlan, I've chased things up a lot along the way so may be worth another quick e-mail.

bananafish81 · 04/03/2016 10:39

7mm is terrific Sammy! Thinking beautifully snuggly cushiony thoughts for you Smile
