Hi BBH - sounds like lots has been going on for you! That's very interesting about the insulin/progesterone link...fingers crossed that the meformin works for you this cycle.

Magpie I hope you're feeling more cheerful today? I just did a bit of reading and see that Metformin is sometimes prescribed before clomid in some cases. Maybe that's what your doc was going on about? I'm also with the others saying that I don't think you could become resistant to clomid because you took 'too much'... This TTC malarkey is definitely highs and lows but we'll all get there!

Kellz I really hope AF didn't turn up?

DizzyM glad you got the reassurance about the ovulation - and hooray for well timed dtd!

DizzyN yikes 4 hours overtime (and during the night..) However, it sounds like you timed dtd right this month.

Best of luck today Boris - I'll be thinking of you, which sounds weird when I'm an internet stranger, but I mean it well Grin

Hi to everyone else!

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/03/2016 09:03

Temp has dropped back down this morning to pre ov range Confused. Because I couldn't temp yesterday I can't tell whether this is a random dip or it means I didn't ov. I've only had two high temps and FF can't give me a cross hair yet Hmm. If I'm having another screwed up month I'm going to be properly fucked off. I can deal with another month of no bfp, that's fine, but at the moment all I want is my body to settle into a regular pattern & have 'normal' cycles Sad

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/03/2016 09:06

baby nice to see you back, that's great things are progressing nicely and I hope the metformin does the trick for you! Saw your other thread about the babybomb......I hope your friend wasn't being malicious. I don't think there's any good way of passing that news on without it causing a degree of hurt....maybe she's just taken the 'ripping a plaster' off approach?

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/03/2016 09:07

Good luck boris!

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/03/2016 09:19

Sorry for cluster posts.

Maybe the soy has messed things up this cycle. The weird thing is that my boobs have been hurting since mid last week....normally they only start hurting in the run up to af or sometimes not at all. I was wondering if this meant I'd produced a particularly good egg this month lol.

Rubbish.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 07/03/2016 09:36

That's pants DizzyN I don't temp so can't offer anything useful to say (sorry) but feel for you for the frustration of it all. Could it also be that you had to go to bed at crazy time the morning before, and it throws your body off?

Hopefulbabydust · 07/03/2016 10:50

Hiya ladies so I'm only 9dpo and it is a internet cheapie..what do you girls think?!

Welcome to bumsnet
DizzyMerry · 07/03/2016 11:19

Baby seems like things are moving along with treatment and fx the metformin does the job.

Ghengis whereabouts are you in your cycle?

That's frustrating dizzy but as ghengis says could it be the timing that messed things up temp wise? Hopefully it is that you have ovulated.

I had quite a bit of pain in my right side last night, which I assumed was ov pain but it was made so much worse by dtd that I actually wanted to cry! Never felt pain like that before and I'm hoping it was just intense ov pain.

DizzyMerry · 07/03/2016 11:20

Good luck today boris. Hope it all goes well for you.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

chopsface · 07/03/2016 11:23

dizzym the month we conceived I got a pos opk on cd11 and DTD cd10 and cd12 :-)

Thinking of you today Boris x x

DizzyNorthernBird · 07/03/2016 11:54

Thanks dizzym and genghis, I went to bed last night at 'the normal time' and had sufficient sleep so I just don't know. I'll just have to wait and see what tomorrow's temp looks like I guess! If I haven't ov'd yet I'll just have to get back to it this week, now I've got my weekend of shitty shifts out of the way! DP won't be happy though, he's well and truly fed up of babymaking sex now. We only did it twice this cycle. I was joking around with him about AI last week....he actually seemed to consider it!

Thanks for the reassurance chops! We dtd cd18 and cd20, my temp went up slightly on cd19 and then a big increase of 0.22 on cd21, if I did ov then hopefully our meagre efforts were at least reasonably well timed Smile. Hope you and baby chops are doing well! How is DH finding fatherhood?

hopeful there's definitely a line there.

MagpieCursedTea · 07/03/2016 13:54

BBH that's really interesting info about insulin resistance. I hope the metformin helps you. How are you finding the side effects?

Genghis thank you, I'm feeling better today thanks. I got myself so wound up yesterday, at least I have all of you to offload to! How are you doing?

DizzyN sorry to hear that your temps are messing with your head. Hopefully it'll just be a random dip and they'll go back up again. I agree that regular cycles would make life a lot easier!

Hopeful looks like a bfp. Congratulations.

DizzyM that pain doesn't sound very pleasant. Hopefully it was a super strong egg bursting it's way out in style Grin

Boris hope everything is going well today Thanks

I'm in a much better place today after my little freak out yesterday Blush
The nausea is much better which is a relief. I've also been getting EWCM (which I never get). I got an empty circle on the digi OPK this morning but did a cheapie one at lunchtime and got an almost positive (which also never happens despite my higher LH levels). Trying not to get too excited but it feels like progress!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 07/03/2016 19:43

Hello to you all. Lots of newbies. Great news about the IVF Boris Sounding really positive.

I hope you all get your BFP very soon. Whatever you do don't give up. It will happen. I know it seems so far away and it's not fair.

Magpie I never ever got a positive opk with the ics so I just dtd around the time of the darker opks. The month I got my BFP I carried on dtd more after the darker opks where as before I had been dtd more before the darker opks and just the days of them.

Sammy good luck too you. Fx for you. Hope you are doing ok.

DizzyN great news on some well timed dtd.

DizzyM I'm sure it's probably better to conceive earlier in your cycle isn't the average ov on a 28 day cycle day 14 anyway. I always had a 31 day cycle and usually ov around cd16-19. Good luck.

Nomio hope you are doing ok.

Sorry to anyone I've forgotten.

I wanted to say a big thank you to whoever it was that nominated me for a mumsnet secret Santa. I know it must have been one of you or a grad. I can't tell you how much it meant. I finally spent the voucher I got at the weekend on a lovely new changing bag. I think every time I look at it I will think of you ladies. I honestly couldn't have got here and kept my sanity without your amazing support.

Keep going.

birdboo · 07/03/2016 20:41

I just wanted to let Boris know I hope today went well.

I feel like a noob re giving advice.Blush I do get a lot of ewcm so cycles so I've decided to leave the opks out this cycle and just enjoy time with a more relaxed DH.

I logged into Facebook today to 2 ultrasound photos and one ott anoucement. Hmm.

DizzyMerry · 07/03/2016 20:45

I hope it is magpieGrin actually I'm going with that! It's great that you seem to be making so much progress and it'd be hard not to get excited. Have you been dtd? Fx you are about to ov and catch that egg.

What a lovely post beaut. Whoever nominated you for secret Santa must be a lovely person and you so deserved it. Thinking about it if I got a positive opk on cd12 then I ov today at cd13 and you're right about ov being on day 14 of average cycle of 28 days. That's reassured me so thank you. How are you doing? Hope all is going well for you.

BabyBumpHopeful · 07/03/2016 21:17

GenghisKahnSchmitz I thought so too. I normally only have an 11 day LP so I've no idea what the metformin will do for this cycle. At the very least I'm a guinea pig :)

DizzyNorthernBird I like to think she wasn't being malicious but it still hurt. I'm hoping that it was just a random dip and you were open-mouth breathing yesterday!

MagpieCursedTea Not as bad as I've read honestly! I haven't been feeling the nausea but that very first day after taking my tablet at night was pretty bad... It happened at work too... right before lunch. Thankfully the bathroom is kinda far away but still extremely mortifying. I'm doubling the dose on Wednesday so i'm a little nervous. I was so mortified though that I picked up some www.poopourri.com/ which I tested out at home and it seems to work

Hopefulbabydust looks like a line to me

Kellz92 · 07/03/2016 23:11

Just thought I'd let you know that tomorrow will be cd1. I'll probably sulk for a few days. Spotted on and off today but she's arrived. Lighter than normal and less painful which I'm not complaining about. Roll on Friday I'm off on holiday and will hopefully not stress xx

Kellz92 · 07/03/2016 23:12

Boris been thinking about you today

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 08/03/2016 04:52

Sorry to read Kellz (though I still have my fingers crossed for you until AF rocks up)

Those fb announcements Bird - don't you just love them?! Hope they won't too painful to see.

DizzyM great news about the ovulation, and I like Magpie's take on it! For sure, it must be a super egg.

DizzyN Aargh, the trials and tribulations of TTC...good work on keeping up the dtd - it becomes such a chore doesn't it? (and really makes me wish I'd started TTC years ago when DP and I were a bit more enthusiastic!)

Magpie great news all around for you! It must be such a relief to feel better, and have positive opks. Best of luck!

BBH happy to read that the medication isn't having any side effects (well, any more)

Not much news from here - I'm currently on cd18/19 but completely fed up with my body. Yesterday and today there was a tiny bit of blood in my knickers after going running. This has happened occasionally before but I never paid much attention to it/the dates, but am now thinking perhaps I should have mentioned it to the gynaecologist. In addition to that, I also have a lot of ewcm this morning so now confused about ov time. Sigh. Basically I'm just waiting for AF so I can have the bloods and hsg done. In good news, neither DP or I have syphilis or HIV!

loopylou1984 · 08/03/2016 06:39

Sorry for af kelz Thanks

Ghengis - great news on the lack of STIs! Woo Wink
Re the spotting, some people do get this around ovulation which would tie in with the ewcm. I have also heard of others getting bleeding following intense exercise, but in helpfully I don't know why it happens. I think you should mention it at your next appointment for peace of mind, but that they probably won't be bothered. Xx

BorisIsBack · 08/03/2016 07:32

Thank you all for the support yesterday we 'only' ended up with two good quality blastocysts, they tranafered one to me and one to the freezer. I would have liked more but the. I'm greedy and inpatient.

Waves to chops and everyone. Thanks.

Gengis, I get OV spotting right before I ovulate, usually with EWCM. It's worst if I go running. It's usually not something to worry about if a day or so around the time of OV.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/03/2016 08:02

DizzyM I'm doing well. 22 weeks now. It still doesn't seem real. When we tell people about the pregnancy we've also been very open about how long it took. So many friends have opened up about how they are struggling ttc. It's been nice to be able to talk about it with them.

DizzyN keeping everything crossed for you. Eek exciting.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 08/03/2016 08:03

Two is better than none Boris (though obviously I hope you're not too disappointed) so congratulations! I really am so happy for you...do you now have to take a lots of medication?

Thanks also to you and Sammy for the advice about the spotting/ovulation/running. I'll jump DP when he gets home just to be sure...and will mention it to the doctor.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/03/2016 08:05

Sorry I meant Boris I meant that to you not DizzyN re the blastocysts. But of course I'm keeping everything crossed for you as well DizzyN as well as everyone else on here. It's so nice to see people come over to the grads boards and those oldies that I've been talking to since I first joined here , I'm looking all the time to see you coming across.

BorisIsBack · 08/03/2016 08:07

Genghis I now have the joys of pushing 8 pessaries a day into my foof. It's the glamarous and sexy route to baby making Hmm
