Magpie I wish it was like that but unfortunately it was more me sitting in my pjs watching a Midsomer Murders, when one of the characters popped open a bottle and I thought I'd join them!

Kellz92 · 15/06/2016 10:42

Genghis Im getting there thank you, tablets are really good thank god.
How are you? Fx she doesnt arrive!! how is you temp looking now x

DizzyMerry · 15/06/2016 14:00

You're living the life ghengis Grin

Glad the tablets are helping kellz.

Hope you're doing well magpie and boris.

I'm 11dpo and waiting for AF too. Getting pre AF cramps so know she's definitely coming.

DH got his results today and also had a tel consulation with his GP. His morphology is 0% again but count and motility are great. Anyway his GP has said there were some debris or something surrounding the sperm. He has prescribed a course of antibiotics and is sure the morphology should improve after this or at least the debris will clear. Not heard of this before but DH has taken it all in his stride. He is so positive and thankfully it hasn't got him down.

BorisIsBack · 16/06/2016 16:39

Genghis - hope AF stays away...

Dizzy m - I'm glad there is something they can do for the swimmers. That's a new one on me. Glad your dH is possitive - I think this can all take a toll on our other halves more than we realise sometimes.

DizzyM I'm glad your dh is positive!! Hope AF doesn't show

Boris how are you keeping?

I had a scan today as was getting bleeding, but baby is fine and the blood isn't coming from there. I'm it's stopped now but was just getting checked over. Hope you don't mind me posting the pic.

X

Boris sometimes I get frustrated with him as I think he just has his head in the sand. His answer to it all is 'it will happen'. Also he now wants to push the IVF forward for 2-3 months as he thinks the antibiotics will work magic!

What a lovely scan pic kellz. It must have been such a relief to see your little bean doing well. Hope you're ok now. I think it's great when you grads keep us updated with your news.

MagpieCursedTea · 17/06/2016 12:50

Genghis that still sounds like a great night! Did AF arrive as expected?

DizzyM I've not heard of that one before either, it does sound positive if it's something that can be fixed with a course of antibiotics! How do you feel about pushing the IVF forward?

DizzyN how's things? Hope you and your DP are doing okay with everything you've got going on.

Boris how's it going?
*
Kellz* sorry to hear about the bleeding, glad everything is okay. Take it easy!

I had my scan yesterday, due to my wonky PCOS cycles it was still early to do the nuchal tests etc but everything looks fine and it was amazing to see! I'm going back in two weeks (on DH's birthday) for a repeat scan.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 19/06/2016 02:07

Great news about the scans Kellz and Magpie - it must have been such a relief, and so lovely to see. Kellz has the bleeding stopped? Lovely that you'll get to see your baby again in two weeks Magpie, and a great birthday present for your DH.

DizzyM that's great about the antibiotics improving your DH's morphology. Like Magpie asked, how do you feel about pushing out the ivf?

AF finally arrived this morning - I'm fine as I would have been more worried if I got a bfp since DP had been away! I went to the doctor on Friday and now have all the medication sitting in the fridge. He must have thought I was a bit of a wuss as he 'prescribed' for me to go to a nurse for the injections because it was my first time Grin. I'm sure he meant well but it's nearly more inconvenient as nurses here aren't connected to gp surgeries so I have to find a freelance one, which seems strange to me!

Waves to Boris, DizzyN and Rainy. Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend?

Kellz92 · 20/06/2016 11:24

Thanks Magpie I am just taking it easy! i had a few days off work, then a relaxing weekend for my birthday on saturday.

Genghis it was a relief, i have still been getting brown spotting, had red once yesterday but the hospital said since i havent got any pain and they only seen me two days previously they wont bother scanning me again as i wasnt too worried just wanted to call for advice really. So just taking it easy, well trying when you have a 3 year old its not easy.

Sorry AF is here but glad youre ok with it. Hope everything goes well this cycle! xx

DizzyMerry · 20/06/2016 14:10

Wonderful news about your scan magpie. It must be so reassuring and I'm pretty sure there could be no better present for your DH than seeing your baby again on his birthday.

Wow ghengis it's time to really get going now! I find it very odd that you that you have to find a nurse but must admit I was more weirded out by you having to choose your own dye for your HSG!

Kellz definitely not easy to rest with a 3 year old about but I hope you do manage to put your feet up and relax.

AF arrived early this morning but on the upside I didn't get the pre AF symptoms which have terrorised me for the last two cycles so I'm convinced it was the second acupuncture which didn't agree with me. I didn't have any acupuncture this month to work out if it was that.

I feel ok about having the IVF pushed forward and hoping for a miracle before then but I've told DH that's my limit and at that point we either go for it or give up trying. May seem a bit demanding to others but I haven't got the energy to keep going through this month after month especially now that we know what the issues are and natural conception seems very unlikely.

birdboo · 20/06/2016 23:54

Hello lovely ladies. I don't know if you remember me but a few of you really helped ground me when AF was awol. I just wanted to say thank you.

I got my bfp today. Somehow I managed to conceive naturally which feels an achievement in itself. We had just started going through the assisted fertility route. DH is waiting on his semen results as I type. Hmm.

May your time here be short. Flowers

Kellz92 · 21/06/2016 08:39

DizzyM It is difficult!!

Sorry AF arrived but im glad you didnt get the horrible symptoms!! Good luck with your IVF

Bird congrats xx

BorisIsBack · 21/06/2016 14:27

Bird congratulations!

DizzyM I can understand how you feel. Honestly ivf is very different to trying month by month and gaving the continuous cycle of pain, hope and the damage to your sex life that goes with it. I'm glad for you that you have brought it forward so the next big d day for you isn't too far away.

I'm doing ok thanks to all who asked. getting fat now. I'm being very open to anyone who wants to talk about how this is an ivf baby. There is too much stigma about infertility which needs to be broken.

Boris Glad you're well xx

MagpieCursedTea · 21/06/2016 18:45

Bird congratulations!! Flowers

Boris it's awesome that you're being open about IVF. I was fairly open about DS being a Clomid baby but found a lot of people didn't know what that meant!

DizzyM sorry for AF. I completely understand where you're coming from, it's hard to keep going. I hope you get a plan of action sorted soon.

Kellz I hope you have a great birthday and that your sickness stays away!

Genghis sorry for AF but I'm not sure your DP would've believed an immaculate conception story Grin
Going to the nurse for the injections sounds like a smart plan, from what I've read on here they can be quite complicated.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 21/06/2016 23:17

Congratulations Bird!

Belated birthday wishes Kellz, and I hope you can manage to take it easy as it must be playing on your mind. Fx it stops.

Sorry about AF DizzyM and I think you're right to set a time limit. It's just so trying to go through this month after month.

Boris glad to read that you're well! I often wonder why there is such stigma and silence around infertility so am really pleased to see that you're so open about ivf.

Indeed Magpie Grin. My plan is to get the nurse to do the first two injections, and then I'll do the rest, though I haven't had a response yet so may end up doing them all myself!

BorisIsBack · 22/06/2016 06:54

Gengis I had to do all my own ivf jabs without help. All bar one was really really easy. The one that had two glass vials (one with powder one with liquid) was a pain as you had to crack the top off the glass, the actual injection was simple. I watched loads of you tube videos first to teach myself - that helped a lot :)

DizzyNorthernBird · 22/06/2016 06:58

Morning! Sorry I've been absent for a little while. I always find I've got nothing much to say pre ov!

kellz how lovely seeing your scan pic, and glad to hear things are going well.

boris I'm totally with you on breaking stigmas. I'm quite open and make a joke about not being able to conceive and I find I'm much more relaxed about it than those who seem to bottle it all in. I've always felt that those who struggle would feel a little better in themselves and their situation if there wasn't this perceived taboo. I've only received supportive comments. Maybe I'm just lucky though.

genghis if I'm ever faced with the situation of self medicating I really don't think I could go through with it Confused

bird I remember you! Congratulations on the bfp and have a healthy pregnancy!

dizzym think I must have missed your earlier post, when are you due to start IVF?

Well I'm somewhere in my tww. We made a good effort this month, eod for my fertile week which is much better than our usual efforts. Not sure when I ov'd though due to a slow rise. FF puts me at 4dpo. It's only 3 weeks until my gynae appt but I've got my smear test next week and I'm not sure whether to go just in case? I would be around 11dpo then.....but I know it's highly unlikely I'd be pg. what would you ladies do?

MagpieCursedTea · 22/06/2016 07:25

DizzyN I would call your surgery and tell them you're TTC and where you'll be in your cycle and ask if they'd still want you to go ahead. I reckon they'll suggest waiting just in case. Fx for this cycle, sounds like you've given it your all!

Genghis when is the first injection due? How are you feeling about it all?

BorisIsBack · 22/06/2016 11:19

Dizzyn check with your doctor but I'm fairly sure I was told it was fine to have a smear test even when possibly pg.

Kellz92 · 22/06/2016 11:21

Thanks Magpie Sickness did stay away for a while but back with a vengeance lol

Genghis Thank you, trying to relax but easier said than done. Still getting brown spotting but they arent worried about that

DizzyN Thanks :) Hope youre well? You can wait a bit to cancel> or id call and explain and see what they say xx

MagpieCursedTea · 22/06/2016 11:26

I think you're actually right there Boris. You saying that has reminded me that I read somewhere the other day that it's standard for women in America to have smear tests in early pregnancy.

BorisIsBack · 22/06/2016 12:41

Magpie and dizzyn what the nhs website and my consultant said contradicted each other slightly re smear tests when ttc. The nhs web is less possitive.
