Ghengis that is positive indeed! Just a shame your DP is away but at least you can start moving forwards soon.

Kellz well done on the walk in this scorching weather! I'm glad the cramps have stopped. Hope you managed to take it easy yesterday.

Dizzy sorry your DP won't be attending the appointment with you but at least you don't have to push it further back.

Kellz92 · 07/06/2016 12:04

Genghis Im all fine now, well still a bit achy in the muscles and back but thats expected, very sunburnt too lol

DizzyN i had them and used them at every pitstop when they gave us water, and i also had one of those bladders for my rucksack held 2l water

DizzyM Thank you! had a wee rest but DDs nursery was closed for inservice day so we took her for lunch then had a BBQ at my mum and dads

Well that made me cry! It was a great article though, thanks for sharing it Boris.

Kellz92 · 07/06/2016 23:27

Boris what a great article!

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 08/06/2016 00:09

Nice article Boris...I just wish so many of the 'cries' didn't resonate for all of us.

Hi Magpie I miss you not being on the bus all the time! I hope everything is going well.

I hope the sunburn isn't too painful Kellz - it's funny you all going on about the nice weather - it's currently overcast here - I feel hard done by!

DizzyM I hope the 2ww is going okay? Did your DP have his SA yet? Sorry if I've got the timing wrong.

So just a quick charting question - FF put ov day as cd16 but my positive opk was from cd 17. On cd16 my opk was close but not positive imo. Is that strange? For full disclosure, I still have a lot of open circles so realise my chart might not be exact..

Kellz92 · 08/06/2016 07:08

It is overcast here today, was at work yesterday too as I work on the coast but seemingly it was hot at home x

MagpieCursedTea · 08/06/2016 08:57

Genghis I've still been lurking and reading everything... In a non creepy/stalkery way Grin I'm mostly good thanks apart from the sickness etc but it's all a good sign. Got my scan next week so very nervous!
It's a bit unusual to get a positive OPK after a temp rise. It sounds like FF might've put your ovulation date a couple of days early? Happy to look at your chart if you want to post a screen shot. I promise I won't judge the open circles, I was always terrible for that!

Kellz92 · 08/06/2016 16:05

Magpie Good luck for your scan, cant believe its that time already. My time is dragging! Think its the sickness x

BorisIsBack · 08/06/2016 17:17

Genghis - post your chart :) you should ovulate 24-48 hours after the LH surge so the possitive opk should come before the thermal shift. so yours does sound unusual but I'm sure it's all ok. X

Okay, wonky chart attached! Thanks for your views Smile

Magpie Good luck with the scan - I can only imagine your nerves. Also, it's nice to know there's a bumsnet stalker out there!

Kellz I hope you start feeling better, and manage to enjoy some of the heat.

Thanks Boris

Welcome to bumsnet
Kellz92 · 10/06/2016 11:38

Thanks hun, had to get medication from GP as i wasnt keeping anything down so feeling slightly more human now.

How are you? xx

BorisIsBack · 10/06/2016 13:33

Genghis are you mapping a mountain range or temps? I can see why ff came to the conclusion it did. Not sure I can offer an alternative but it doesnt fit with your opks....

Kellz - sounds rough. Hope the meds works

OP posts:
MagpieCursedTea · 10/06/2016 13:39

Genghis that's a tough one! Going by other other signs it looks like you should've ov'd around CD 18/19. Maybe more of a temp pattern will emerge over the next few days. Hopefully the next cycle will be a bit clearer when you're used to temping. The first one is always difficult!

Kellz I hope the tablets help!

BorisIsBack · 10/06/2016 15:48

If it's any help genghis I failed to temp despite owning two thermometers. I only get them out when I feel a dose of hypochondria coming on.

OP posts:
Kellz92 · 10/06/2016 15:50

Magpie they are working really well :) thankfully xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 10/06/2016 19:28

genghis how late/early were your temps taken? I'm afraid you can't trust that line at all. I would assume ov happened on cd18 after your positive opk if I were you.

So, I rang the clinic and explained DP can't come to my appointment that day, also that I can't get the time off work (can't even take a half day with it being summer hols time). Next available appt not until September!!

So, I've told my boss and asked for the time off instead! Grin. He's very supportive and I thought it wise to tell him what is going on in case I have more appointments for procedures etc which will require more time off work.......also his DP is heavily pregnant and I thought it would be easier just to tell him rather than risk any awkward meetings down the clinic if he's there with his missus, lol. So looks like I'll be going to the appt on my own. Rather that than wait until September though.

DizzyNorthernBird · 10/06/2016 19:29

Hope you've all had a good week and have some nice plans for the weekend!

DizzyMerry · 10/06/2016 22:07

I'm reading but will be back a bit later to post.

DizzyMerry · 11/06/2016 00:00

Great article boris I can recognise myself and so many others in those cries. How I wish it wasn't all to familiar!

Kellz glad the meds are working.

Ghengis I'm rubbish at temping so have no advice but agree with magpie about the first month being difficult. Hopefully you'll see a matter next cycle. We should have DH's SA results next week. He checked a couple of times with the surgery but apparently the hospital is inundated and haven't got round to sending them through.

Dizzy it's great that you don't need to postpone your appointment. Yay for your boss being supportive it always takes a bit of pressure off when appointments coincidence with work.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 12/06/2016 07:54

Thanks everyone for looking at my chart. I shall put this month down to practice and aim to do better next month.DizzyN to answer you, they're only about half an hour/an hour out, and Boris, you're right about the mountain range - I keep finding all these lovely looking charts and then looking at mine, and thinking there's something wrong here! DizzyM and Magpie, thanks also.

DizzyM good luck for DH's SA results. I know it must have dragged for you but it seems like just the other day we were discussing private/nhs. How are your ivf plans coming along?

DizzyN I was so pleased to read your third paragraph, and that you have a supportive boss. It's a pity DP can't come but I'd choose that hands down over the postponed appointment!

Kellz I'm glad your meds started working, you poor thing!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend? I'm currently at home drinking champagne by myself - I should probably put on a wedding dress for full effect Grin

Kellz92 · 12/06/2016 16:42

Thank you. Hope you all had good weekend. I was out for lunch with my dad yesterday. Not feeling too great today so just resting. X

MagpieCursedTea · 13/06/2016 09:02

DizzyN glad your boss is being so supportive, it makes a huge difference! Especially as it means you don't have to wait until September for that appointment.

DizzyM I hope you get those SA results soon, good luck!

Genghis drinking champagne alone sounds quite luxurious! I'm picturing you in a 1920s type scene complete with a cigarette in one of those long holders Wink

Kellz I'm glad the medication is helping, I'm impressed you made it out to lunch! I can't set foot in places that make food, the smells set me right off. I'd quite like to spend the next few months in a scentless room!

Kellz92 · 13/06/2016 09:49

Magpie Im surprised i managed too, and i managed 2 courses. but then i did feel off after but it was nice at the time xx
