How exciting Magpie! Maybe you'll even get stretchy eye like DizzyM Grin. It must be a relief though to know that things are actually happening, so fx for you.

I've had mid-cycle bleeds before DizzyN but never know why. I hope yours is for very good reasons! How have your temps been since?

Hello to everyone!

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2016 07:16

Nothing exciting to update you with I'm afraid! I haven't been temping since the bleed so I've no idea where they're at. No symptoms other than the usual sore boobs. I think a random shift in hormones might be a good possibility, the day before spotting I was completely wiped out with a headache and fatigue. Been fine ever since though and, surprisingly for this point in my cycle my moods have been pretty stable and I've been in a good mood for the last few days rather than sobbing like a hormonal moron like usual. I think I'll just have to write it off as 'one of those things'.

magpie I'm glad to hear you're enjoying tww! It's funny how small pleasures can be found when ttc long term- I always get excited if I ovulate early as it means a shorter cycle!

morning boris and genghis, hope you're both well and to everyone else I hope you're all having a good weekend!

BorisIsBack · 24/04/2016 07:26

Magpie, I'm excited for you. You need to visit the bathroom every 14 mins and rabdomly poke your boobs to be a proper tww neurotic.

DizzyN, it all sounds interesting. I had lots of mid cycle bleeds. The consultants were not interested, said its just hormone shifts - so at least it shows your body is working.

Rainey how's the clomid baby coming?!
Waves to everyone else.

Genghis I'm hoping for stretchy eye! How's things with you? Have your parents received the bbt thermometer yet?

DizzyN how many DPO are you now? Are you enjoying your break from temping?

Boris I've been doing a lot of boob poking and toilet visiting. I feel like a proper TTCer!

My temps are still up today and I've been comparing with my December 2012 chart (the last time I ovulated other than when I was pregnant with DS the month after - FF won't display that chart as it's too long). I got AF at 9DPO that cycle, so I figure if I get to 10DPO (which will be Wednesday) then I'll test. I'm feeling a bit hormonal/premenstrual but I do seem to get that a lot anyway.

DizzyMerry · 24/04/2016 11:20

How exciting magpie! Congrats on ovulating and hope the tww passes quickly for you without turning you into a crazed ttcer enjoy the symptom spotting

Dizzy It's difficult to interpret what our bodies are doing/trying to do but I do hope your one off bleeding was for a good reason.

Ghengis I hope you and DP have made up.

AF has been and gone here and I'm already on cd8. Where has the week gone?! I've been so busy and didn't get much time to dwell at all and so it hasn't hit me this month and I wasn't even disappointed.

Rainy34 · 24/04/2016 12:27

Dizzynorthen When is your bfp due? its such a waiting game! x

Magpie hopefully that bfp is just around the corner for you!

Boris i am on cd 18 so well into the tww, we only dtd once this week but i think i ovulated the next day or the day after that, so hoping i am still in with a chance, did make it clear to dh that we needed to be doing more but since he was still suffering with jet lag it never happened, if it does not happen this month iv told him we have only two more attempts and we need to be doing all we can, how are you?

Dizzymerry sounds like you will be in the fun part of the cycle again, glad it never hit you to hard when af showed up!!

Ghengis how are you?

waves to everyone else

DizzyNorthernBird · 24/04/2016 16:11

I'm 10dpo and af is due on Friday.

Kellz92 · 24/04/2016 16:40

Hey everyone.

How are you all getting on?

I've been super busy.

Never tracked this cycle and thought going by cm and pains I ovulated Tuesday/Wednesday but this weekend I've been getting ewcm and a small crampy feeling. CD20 today x

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 25/04/2016 01:27

This is all very exciting! It seems like lots of bumsnetters are in their 2ww - I'm hoping there will be a glut of BFPs shortly.

Good work on the boob poking Magpie, and I really hope Wednesday brings a BFP. I'm afraid my thermometer hasn't arrived yet but I'm not surprised as post takes weeks to arrive..zzzz.

Fingers crossed for you as well DizzyN! Do you still use your saliva microscope? Mine is currently gathering dust..

Rainy Hopefully your dtd was well timed! When you say you've only two more attempts if this month isn't successful, is that because they will only prescribe clomid for three months? Sorry, am a total ignoramus about clomid.

Good luck for this cycle Kellz - it seems that you'd better get back to bed though just in case ;)

Glad to read that you weren't too disappointed by AF DizzyM. Have you and your DH decided about going back to the GP for tests etc?

I'm okay - cd8 but not really paying much attention to dates this cycle. Still feeling rather down about everything but realise I just have to carry on - self pity isn't going to get me a baby (though that would be nice). The Dr suggested a 6 day window for DP to be around so have put that in our calendar for the coming months, and hopefully he will organise trips around those times.

Waves to Boris and everyone else. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend

MagpieCursedTea · 25/04/2016 07:38

DizzyM keeping busy is the key to surviving TTC I think! Fx this is your cycle!

Rainy I hope the 2WW is treating you well. I can't remember if you've already said, but how come you can only have 3 rounds of Clomid?

DizzyN fx that some sperm stuck around and AF stays away!

Kellz get DTD just in case!

Genghis nothing wrong with feeling a bit sorry for yourself sometimes. It's impossible to feel positive all the time. Hopefully you get those six days blocked out soon though and you'll have something positive to focus on!

My temps are still up but I woke up to some painful cramps so I think AF is on her way. I think I'll be okay with it though as if my body has ovulated once, it can do it again right? I'm a bit worried about my luteal phase being short but then again, it didn't seem to cause any problems when I had DS.

dippypanda · 25/04/2016 07:46

Currently in my first TWW for #2. Going very slowly... Trying not to symptom spot but hard. Not sure if I'm ovulating as I've just come off Mirena which I've been on for 5 years with no periods at all.

DizzyMerry · 25/04/2016 09:05

Ghengis it's ok to feel sorry for yourself in this journey but you will get through this. It's great that you've got a plan to focus and fx you and DP can work around those days. My GP has arranged day 21 tests for me this cycle. She was reluctant to as she says I conceived twice despite low prog and thinks I just need to 'let go and relax and it will happen' (her exact words). That is genius advice why have I spent 2+ years ttc and worrying about whether it will ever happen when all I had to do was let go and would then be sure to get upduffed Confused

Magpie I sometimes get AF type cramps a few days after ov so hoping that's all it is for you too and AF stays away. You're right though your body can do this and it will.

Welcome panda. How long have you been ttc #2?

I've had some spotting on the weekend but it seems to have settled now. I was quite worried as it's never happened before but maybe it's my hormones. I did find that either this acupuncture has brought on lots of symptoms such as painful ov, painful cramps after ov and pms symptoms which I've not had for a long time, or it could be a coincidence. Either way I've decided to see another acupunturist who is Zita West affiliated and see whether it makes a difference.

MagpieCursedTea · 25/04/2016 09:24

Panda welcome! Trying to not symptom spot is very difficult. Are you doing any monitoring or just taking a relaxed approach?

DizzyM glad you're getting the CD21 tests, hope it goes well. Maybe the extra symptoms are a sign that acupuncture is doing something? I'm a complete convert to it now, I was quite skeptical but I do think it's helping. I've heard good things about Zita West acupuncturists. I couldn't find one in my area though.

Speaking of symptom spotting, I've been feeling sick since yesterday. I know 8dpo is too early for morning sickness (I was at least 6 weeks with DS when it started) but it's still giving me (probably false) hope!

DizzyMerry · 25/04/2016 09:37

You could be right magpie about the extra symptoms being a good sign but I didn't get those when I had acupuncture last year and my cycle improved straightaway so I'm a bit worried It's not helped this time. I have an appointment later today with the new lady though. Feeling sick is a great sign either way as I did at around 7dpo last year and got a bfp and also my last acupuncture lady said it's a sign that you have good prog levels. Not sure how true that is but it seemed to happen after acupuncture and I have low prog so could well be the case. Fx for you.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 25/04/2016 11:22

That's great news about the cd21 test DizzyM and well done on keeping your cool with the idiotic 'just relax' advice - she didn't happen to sprinkle some baby dust on you on your way out, did she? Wink

Magpie your symptom spotting is going well!! As you say, even if it's not a BFP this time, your body is definitely working in the right direction.

Thank you both for your kind words - I guess I just need to manage my expectations and work on my plan of action. Enjoy the acupuncture today DizzyM - you've both nearly converted me to try it but the thoughts of trying to find one and all that rigmarole is putting me off for the time being.

Welcome Panda!

Rainy34 · 25/04/2016 13:46

magpie that's all I have been given, but if it does not work I have an appointment at the end of June, they may give me more , hopefully I won't need them

Kellz92 · 25/04/2016 13:58

Magpie & Genghis we did, still getting weird not even cramping in my lower tummy but I feel something. Oh is getting his SA on Wednesday so need to wait a few days now x

Rainy34 · 25/04/2016 19:39

Panda welcome, your in good company for symptom spotting here!!

DizzyMerry Glad the spotting has settled down, i wonder if the acupuncture has made a shift in your hormones and thats why you have had spotting or which i hope it could maybe be implantation spotting!! I was told buy my friend that when she was having IVF she was advised to have acupuncture along with it and it was successful!!

Kelz not long till Wed, the waiting is the worst part!!

Trying not to symptom spot, feeling my boobs every two seconds to see if they feel heavier and sore!! I have a sore throat so surely thats a sign?! right!! lol

MagpieCursedTea · 25/04/2016 20:34

DizzyM how did your session with the new lady go? You've probably got a point about the progesterone. My body isn't used to post ov hormones so that could explain the symptoms!

Genghis everything does sound more complicated where you are! Do you have any local acupuncturists? On the plus side of where you live, I bet the weather has been nicer than the sleet and hail we've been getting where I live!

Rainy that makes sense, I was only given 3 rounds back when I had it but was prescribed another 3 just before my BFP. I hope you get your BFP even quicker. I'm sure I've heard people talk about cold like symptoms before a BFP. Put it down as a sign!

Kellz hope your DP's appointment goes well. Sounds like your uterus is up to something!

DizzyMerry · 25/04/2016 22:58

Could well be a sign rainy as I too have heard people say they had cold symptoms just before a bfp. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Magpie my session went really well it was really relaxing and she also did acupuncture on my back to 'warm up my kidneys' as apparently this is crucial in the lead up to ov. However, I'm now very conflicted as to which lady I should stick with! I felt more relaxed at this session and don't know whether it was the back acupuncture which made the difference but my other lady was definitely more knowledgeable and I felt at ease t-talking to her as this one needed a bit of encouragement to talk/give advice. It's actually made me think that I was better off with the first one so suppose I've answered my own question!

Kellz good luck for Wednesday and fx it all goes well with the results.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 26/04/2016 10:57

Good morning everyone! I hope temperatures are still up, boobs are still being poked and sore throats/cold symptoms are rife.

Rainy when is your bfp due? Hopefully you won't need the repeat prescription!

DizzyM Glad the acupuncture went well. Are you still doing the reflexology as well?

Magpie I hope your temperatures are still up? Any other symptom spotting? You're right as I'm sure there are acupuncturists around but I've no idea about finding a good one/getting a recommendation but may put out some feelers and go from there.

Good luck on Wednesday for your DP Kellz!

MagpieCursedTea · 26/04/2016 12:17

DizzyM Sounds like your other acupuncturist is more experienced. Might be better to stick with her. If you're not completely happy with either though, there's no reason you can't keep shopping around.

Genghis I looked for Zita West acupuncturists first as they were recommended on here. Not sure if you have them where you are? There weren't any in my area. I then just googled fertility acupuncture and contacted the one I liked the sound of (I also read reviews of her).

My temp dipped down to the cover line this morning. I'm also still getting cramps, no bleeding yet though but I don't think it'll be long.

DizzyMerry · 26/04/2016 13:42

Ghengis I abondoned the reflexology as I didn't find it relaxing and much prefer acupuncture. I really recommend acupuncture but definitely research it and ask for recommendations/read reviews as magpie says.

Sorry about the temp drop magpie but it looks like your body is starting to respond as you did ovulate.

I got up this morning feeling so refreshed and it's difficult to explain but I have a really nice warm feeling inside. I feel calm and slept well after ages so I think I'll stick to my new lady and see how it goes.

DizzyNorthernBird · 26/04/2016 19:46

Hi all, will read back properly shortly but just popping in quickly to say I've started with brown cm today so looks like a bfn again for me. The random bleed was obviously a red herring! Grin

BorisIsBack · 26/04/2016 20:25

Sorry dizzyN, I was getting so excited for you. X
