Genghis - I was on the Gonal f too :) it's a really easy injection. I didn't use the other one, I had orgalutran then something else...

Genghis he's a good one when he wants to be lol. Hope you're well xx

DizzyNorthernBird · 19/04/2016 19:48

Hey all. So, DP rang the GP's today and asked for his SA results. He says the recptionist told him.....'all fine, no further action required'. Is this usual? I was expecting us to have to go in together to discuss the results for the different elements of the test? At least get his scores? Confused

If 'all is fine' then obviously that's great, I just can't help feeling fobbed off by my surgery yet again. I'm booked in to see GP to discuss next steps next month.

Hope everyone else is well.

Rainy34 · 19/04/2016 20:04

Boris work was not to bad, though i did not have much sleep last night so really hoping to get a better night sleep, I am in the middle of my cycle, i had ewcm tonight, we dtd Sunday and think we need to do it tonight but not sure if DH will be awake as he is fighting to keep awake

Kelz Great news that DH is being productive!!

Magpie got my fingers crossed for you with the high temps

BorisIsBack · 19/04/2016 20:14

DizzyN, that's was all the feedback DH got too. Receptionists are generally told to say either 'all normal' or 'come and see a doctor'. To be honest SA tests are a little unreliable so take that as a good result and don't worry to much about the details for now - you can push the doctor later to find out if any elements are in any way a worry.

Jet lag and dtd doesn't sound like a great combo rainy! Enjoy if that's possible!

Dizzy N it sounds like good news but I'd feel like you too!

Thanks rainy! Glad to see he is as serious as myself.

Xx

Kellz92 · 19/04/2016 23:13

Do any of you ladies suffer nosebleeds? For last few months around or just after ov I've been getting really bad ones. Had three today and I'm CD16. Last nose bleed before ttc was when pregnant. I google it which I shouldn't have haha xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 20/04/2016 00:20

No nose bleed symptoms here Kellz but hope it'll mean the same as the last time you got one!

Yay for gonal f buddy Boris...when the dr showed me the injections initially I thought he was picking up white board markers and expected him to draw me a diagram or something Confused

Great news about your DP's results DizzyN. Sometimes it feels like a let down - you work yourself up for these things, wait for ages and then just get told "all fine" but it is good news, and maybe you'll get more information at your next appointment.

Kellz92 · 20/04/2016 00:40

Hoping so genghis as they leave me feeling horrible and drained if no I should probably get my bp checked again

MagpieCursedTea · 20/04/2016 08:35

Kellz hope your DP's SA goes well! Sorry I don't know anything about nose bleeds. Hope it's a good sign for you though!

Genghis the extra waiting must be frustrating, hopefully time will move quickly for you! Good luck with the bbt, do your parents know you're TTC?

DizzyN great news about your DP's SA results! I can see how you'd feel fobbed off by just being told they're normal and that's it. I usually ask for copies of tests but that risks obsessing over things I don't fully understand. Hopefully you'll get more information when you see your GP.

Rainy sounds like you're approaching ovulation. Will you be getting blood tests or scans to confirm ov?

FF confirmed ovulation for me this morning, I'm not totally sure as my temps aren't as high as they were last time I had a confirmed ovulation (back in 2012!!) but my temps are generally lower than they were back then. If it's right it puts me at 3DPO and into my first 2WW in 16 months of TTC.

Kellz92 · 20/04/2016 09:41

Magpie - thank you! I don't think it's anything but me symptom spotting.

Do you just temp or do you use opks too. I haven't used anything for a few months. But going back to temping next cycle xx

MagpieCursedTea · 20/04/2016 10:17

I temp, use OPKs and track CM/attempt to track cervical position.

BorisIsBack · 20/04/2016 10:42

Magpie congrats on ovulating!!

Rainy34 · 20/04/2016 12:44

magpie I'm not being monitored as my day21 was borderline , woke up with loads more ewcm, hoping Dtd tonight will not be to late

Kirjava · 20/04/2016 16:45

kellz I had a massive nosebleed 3 days before my BFP. They can be linked to hormonal changes so makes sense that you might get them around ovulation.

Kellz92 · 20/04/2016 20:11

Magpie I always track Cm. Dh thinks it's gross lol. Going to buy cheapie opks bot using the monitor anymore.

Kirjava ah Fab! I had three massive ones yesterday and one today. At least I'm not over thinking it too much haha

Xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 21/04/2016 01:21

Congratulations on ovulating Magpie! That's wonderful news...enjoy the 2ww ;) My parents don't know we're ttc - well, they may have an idea but have never said anything. It'll be my Dad who sends on the thermometer so there's a high chance it'll go over his head (even though it does come with some OPKs and ICs).

I had a bit of an argument with DP last night about travelling, IUI timing, IUI vs. IVF etc so currently feeling rather negative and down about everything. I know there's nothing I can really do but just feel so p*ed off with everything. Sorry for the moan, and I hope everyone is having a better time than me!

MagpieCursedTea · 21/04/2016 08:50

Boris thanks! How are you getting on? I hope you're feeling well Smile

Rainy Sounds like ov is on it's way for you. I didn't have any monitoring when I had Clomid for DS, the doctor was just going by my AF dates and my tracking.

Kellz it did seem like the monitor was causing you some stress. Hope the nosebleeds are better today.

Genghis I think those kind of arguments are pretty common when TTC. It's a stressful and frustrating time. I hope you manage to resolve things soon. Never apologise for moaning on here though, best place for it!

I'm still not convinced about ov. Partly because I just don't ovulate normally but also because my temps just don't seem high enough. I'm also crampy and feeling pre memstural today but I've been getting a lot of that this cycle which is weird anyway. Here's my chart...

Welcome to bumsnet
DizzyNorthernBird · 21/04/2016 18:22

boris thanks for the reassurance about the SA results, I shall chill out then!

kellz I don't get nosebleeds but I do blow blood out of my nose when blowing right before af is due, which is weird. Fx it's a good sign for you!

genghis hope DP and you have made it up today. I'll bet I'd end up arguing with my DP about it too if we were going through with it. It's a very stressful time but you will get through it.

rainy fx for you for tonight.

jod how are you feeling?

dizzym I hope you're well.

magpie I can see why you aren't convinced from looking at your chart, but you had ewcm right before your line so that's a good sign it did happen. Hopefully you'll see another rise tomorrow for some reassurance. If it helps, my temps don't really increase until 3-4 days after ov, I often see a gradual rise.

DizzyNorthernBird · 21/04/2016 18:31

So my body is deciding to mess with me this month so what's new, right?

According to FF I'm 7dpo and af is due a week tomorrow. As we weren't really trying this cycle I've only taken my temp on a few days, but before my (broken) crosshairs my temps were low for two days and then they increased, although these were open circles. I'm fairly confident FF has got it right as I had a load of ewcm beforehand. We've only dtd 4 times all month, none of these times around ov. Then, last night I had a random bleed?! Which is really odd.....I never ever get mid cycle bleeding but it can't be a bfp symptom either?! I'm rather confused and annoyed my body is screwing me over, yet again!! Angry Anyone got any ideas what it's all about?

It was a random smear on the paper when I wiped after a wee, nothing afterwards and nothing at all today. It's possible I've ov'd earlier I suppose and this is af coming (fingers crossed as it'll cut this cycle short by a week) but I usually get two days of brown cm beforehand?

MagpieCursedTea · 21/04/2016 18:56

DizzyN how frustrating for you, sorry your body is messing with you yet again, I feel your pain! Any chance you ov'd sooner? How long before your recorded ov did you DTD?

DizzyNorthernBird · 21/04/2016 19:40

Here is my chart magpie! Your guess is as good as mine!

of all the bloody months to lose interest in temping

Welcome to bumsnet
MagpieCursedTea · 21/04/2016 20:08

That does make it quite hard to tell! I very rarely find out the reason for mid cycle spotting and just put it down to PCOS/hormone fluctuations. I can understand it being more confusing for you as you don't normally get it. I'd say that if you don't get anymore bleeding in the next few days then take a test.

BorisIsBack · 23/04/2016 20:49

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

DizzyN and magpie any updates?!

OP posts:
MagpieCursedTea · 23/04/2016 21:35

My temp hung around the cover line for 3 days but then shot right up again this morning. 6DPO today and still not sure if it was ov. I think I'll only be convinced if AF shows up around the right time or I actually get a BFP! I'm quite enjoying the possibility of being in the 2WW, doing all sorts of newbie like symptom spotting. It's quite exciting. I feel like after all this time I'm making a bit of progress.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
