Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around for a while! Don't really have much to say given we aren't ttc this cycle!

Hope you're all well!

I'm somewhere around cd23 I think. I haven't been temping this cycle but I've taken it the last couple of days (late) just to figure out when af will be due, it doesn't look like I've ov'd yet but hey ho.

DP has got his appointment to drop off his sperm sample a week today, so not long to go for us now. Once that's done & we've had the follow up appt we'll look at starting again.

For anyone who's interested, I did my half marathon on Sunday. Unfortunately it didn't go well at all as I still had my chesty cough from the flu and my fitness had suffered after having two weeks with no running. I also started with pre-migraine blindness after 10 miles which meant I had to stop and walk as I felt it was safer. Still managed to finish though (13 minutes slower than usual) and then had to rush to the first aid tent for painkillers! Lol.

We've got DP's kids staying with us this week so we've been out and about lots which is lovely.

Jod1985 · 07/04/2016 09:04

I haven't posted in a few days ladies. Soooooo I caved and tested two nights ago. I would have been 8 days PO at the time of testing and I got a very very faint line. Can you see it? I'm disbelieving it to be honest. I am going to test again tomorrow morning.

MagpieCursedTea · 07/04/2016 09:15

Genghis thanks! Hopefully the next week and a half goes quickly for you and you get some answers, it must be stressful having the information but not knowing what it means.
My temps are still low, no sign of ovulation but the cramps and PMS are still there. I think there's usually a few days of it before AF but this seems longer.

DizzyN it sounds like you did really well in the half marathon considering the circumstances, well done!! All the best for your DP's SA, then you'll finally start to get some progress. Enjoy the rest of your TTC break Smile

Jod congrats again! Good luck for the test tomorrow, I don't think I could hold out that long and would be testing every day!

Kellz92 · 07/04/2016 10:29

Hi genghis she's finally getting better after a hospital trip, poor mite. I'm CD4 AF only lasted 3 days this month wasn't too heavy either so can't complain, was agony though :(

Hope everyone is well xx

MagpieCursedTea · 07/04/2016 17:12

AF got me, so that was an 18 day cycle Hmm
I swear every time before AF I go through at least a week of mood swings and cramps, it goes on for so long that I think my body is just being weird but I think I just have a long build up. So next time I'm driving myself crazy about it, can you lot remind me that it's normal for me? Thanks! Grin

Kellz92 · 07/04/2016 19:48

Sorry to hear magpie, my cycle was shorter this time too, AF was also shorter! 3 days instead of 5/6 fx for this cycle xx

MagpieCursedTea · 07/04/2016 20:10

Spoke too soon. After the bit of spotting earlier there has been no more bleeding, still cramping though
Thanks though Kellz, glad to hear your DD is doing better.

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 08/04/2016 00:39

Jod congratulations - there's definitely a line! Good luck with the frer and make sure to update us. There seems to have been lots of BFPs recently - hurrah! now for the rest of us to get on board

Kellz Sounds stressful about your DD - poor little thing, but happy to hear she's on the mend. Sorry about AF but at least you're heading towards ov again. Sorry for forgetting but are you temping/using opks?

DizzyN Congratulations on the half marathon! I would probably have pulled out due to being sick the weeks before :) I've never heard of pre-migraine blindness - that sounds very scary. Are you on medication? I also suffer from them but get auras and facial numbness no blindness. Great work about DP's appointment - do you know when you'll have the results/follow up appointment? I hope you've had an enjoyable and relaxed month!

Magpie Anymore spotting/bleeding? Tbh, no wonder you're banging your head off the wall - god damned bodies! I wonder what it all could mean..

Lucie if you're reading, I hope you're okay and the bleeding has stopped, or at least you've received some reassurance.

Sammy Thinking of you and hope you're doing well.

Waves to everyone else - happy Friday!

Jod1985 · 08/04/2016 07:48

Happy Friday everyone! Took the FRER. Today is 10/11 days PO. What you think? Line?

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/04/2016 07:55

genghis when I say blindness I mean the aura- large patches of my vision with flashing/zig zaggy lights and I can't see properly. At first I thought it was just from the sun. I don't take Meds as I rarely get them, probably only about 5 in the past 10 years but always after vigorous exercise. I usually get the headache about half an hour afterwards! It was a frightening thing to happen when running as I couldn't focus on the horizon and I wasn't sure what to do! So I just focused on finishing so I could get painkillers to pre empt the headache!

Not sure when DP's follow up appt is yet as I'm not sure what the procedure is? I assume it'll be with GP but I haven't booked anything yet. Maybe I should call them today.

magpie & kellz sorry for the confusing cycles. So annoying.

lucie hope you're ok.

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/04/2016 07:58

jod I can see the line on the negative but not so much on the positive, but it's definitely there! How are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?

Jod1985 · 08/04/2016 08:26

I'm a lot tireder than usual, needing to pee a lot and also tingly boobs.
I still don't really believe it. So if it's ok I'll hang around for a while here.

Kellz92 · 08/04/2016 14:30

Magpie how confusing!
Genghis it is stressful and I'm having some down days with this whole TTC thing. Just fed up. Last cycle I didn't do anything just relaxed with being away on holiday but will maybe get some opks.
Dizzy I get pre migraine blindness getting too many migraines lately. Well done on the half marathon, I've only ever done a 5k.
Jod I see something on the negative :)

Xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 09/04/2016 10:47

What a coincidence that the three of us suffer from them and thanks for telling me their proper name! They are very disconcerting DizzyN so I really am impressed that you pushed on as they usually affect my balance (trying to see around the zigzag as such) and I really can't imagine trying to run with them.

How long do the SA results usually take in the UK? I've no idea of the procedure though I guess a quick phone call will clear things up.

Jod how are the lines today (or did you wait for 2 days?) I also see the lines so there's definitely something there. Is it sinking in or are you still doubting your eyes?

Magpie I hope the spotting has finished for good?

DizzyM hope you're well?

DizzyMerry · 09/04/2016 11:28

Jod I can see a line! Congratulations.

Dizzy very well done on the half marathon. I get those pre migraine vision problems too but it only affects one eye. Thankfully I haven't had a
migraine for about a year now. Good luck with the SA.

Kellz your poor DD. Hope she's better soon. Sorry AF got you but onwards and upwards.

Magpie how confusing. Has the spotting stopped now?

Ghengis I'm 6dpo so symptom spotting like a loon but of course there are non but I'll be testing regardless at some point. Told myself off last month for getting carried away but can't seem to stop myself Confused How are you doing?

DizzyMerry · 09/04/2016 11:34

Oh and just to show how crazy I am I had a dream last night that I was walking around the supermarket comparing my symptoms to previous cycles and whether they were pre AF symptoms or something I could get excited about Confused

Kellz92 · 09/04/2016 18:05

Thanks DizzyM, she's all better now and fx for this cycle xx

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 10/04/2016 06:38

Good luck for this cycle Kellz

TTC dreams DizzyM?! Grin It does show how much it affects us though doesn't it :( Did you have any symptoms before your bfp with your DD? Fx for this month for you!

I'm okay - currently CD21 but DP was away for most of the month so being realistic about AF's arrival in a week or so. I have however, done more research on DP's SA results and am pretty sure we're going to get bad news at our next appointment. In one way I'm glad I've done the research as now it won't be a massive shock, and can prepare questions about next steps etc.

Hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend!

MagpieCursedTea · 10/04/2016 08:23

Genghis it is good to be prepared but I do hope it turns out better than you're expecting! What info have you found?

DizzyM at least we can all be crazy about TTC together here. Maybe the dream is a symptom...? Grin

Jod did you do another test this morning? How'd it go?

DizzyN did you get any further with sorting out your DP's follow up? From what I remember, our GP phoned my DH with his results, these things can vary across areas though can't they?

I've not had any more spotting but may have had EWCM but don't trust what my body is doing anymore.
I'm going to book tickets for a gin festival in September today. I'll either invoke the law of sod or get to drink lots of gin, can't really lose!

GenghisKahnSchmitz · 10/04/2016 08:58

A gin festival Magpie - I'm so jealous! I totally agree with just getting on with life - you can't put your life on hold, and hopefully sod's law will work!

My research is based on his MAR result which is the number of sperm antibodies in his sample. A negative level is less than 10, an acceptable level is 10 - 39, and anything above is positive. DP got 95%. I've been searching for info but basically the stats say ICSI is the only way forward. In addition he has a high number of malformed acrosomes (which affects penetrating the egg) so not the greatest of odds! Oh well, we'll see what the doctor says..

Crazy that you're now getting ewcm - time to get dtd so :)

DizzyMerry · 10/04/2016 11:42

Ghengis the symptoms I got with DD was extreme tiredness. DH and I were having pizza and I didn't even have the energy to hold a slice and went off to bed. Also got a 'stretchy eye' but don't know anyone else who's ever had that! When I conceived last year I had no symptoms at all. It's good to be well prepared and start putting your questions and concerns together. I'm hoping it won't be anything to worry about but at least you're one step ahead.

Magpie you could be about to ovulate? Dtd just in case you are. It's definitely a win win situation and I agree with getting on with your life as we put too much on hold for ttc.

BorisIsBack · 10/04/2016 12:52

Just placematking... Will read back

OP posts:
GenghisKahnSchmitz · 11/04/2016 04:45

Goodness, not being able to hold a slice of pizza sounds tragic DizzyM!! next time get DH to feed you Your stretchy eye makes me think of cartoon characters when their eyes stick out - hopefully it wasn't that bad Grin.

Hi Boris, how are you getting on? Are you still in shock? :)

Jod I hope you're feeling more reassured?

MagpieCursedTea · 11/04/2016 09:00

Genghis that all sounds pretty complicated. It's amazing how much research and learning is involved with TTC. I think we should get qualifications after a certain amount of time! I really hope the doctor has more positive news for you.

DizzyM I really need to know what a stretchy eye means!

Boris how's things? Hope all is well with you.

Has anyone heard from blueberry? I hope she's out of hospital and on the mend.
Have a fantastic week everyone!

Jod1985 · 11/04/2016 11:42

I'm too afraid to test. I have had very very faint positives but I'm trying to wait a few days before testing.
