Thanks Boris and Genghis As expected he doesn't believe me because it's April Fools Day!. I said (as I was walking towards the bathroom "Well I got the mail today, it included that bill for the blood work, (grabbed the stick and turned back to him) let's just say it's a good thing you don't need your sperm tested!" waving the FRER.

Conversation that followed (read with a confused half-grin on his face, a smile on mine):

Him: I don't even know what that is, what is that?
Me: It's a pregnancy test, I'm pregnant!
Him: "mild smile* I don't believe you
Me: Seriously. I knew you wouldn't believe me! grabs the other 2 See, these are the first ones I took
Him: What am I looking at?
Me: See the 2 lines? Normally there's just one
Him: Mmm no I see one line and a draw on scribble. I think you've been planning this for a while
Me: when I take a test in the morning you'll believe me then! (while walking off)

Babybump, just seen you over on the December ante-natal thread where I am quietly lurking in the background and wanted to wish you a huge congratulations!

Nurse Rosie congrats to you too. Hope there are lots more bfps to come on here.

Genghis it's tough being Baby bombed, I find that some It does not hurt as much as others, it's the people that say we only tried first month and fell, is like a knife going through my back,

I picked up my Clomid last night , at the chemist the man serving me said when did you put your prescription in , we can't find it, eventually after 10 mins he found them, my heart skipped a few beats, thought how the hell am I going to get a repeat prescription

Congratulations again BBH! You've given me hope for metformin I hope your DH manages to get his head round it today, send him out for a digi!

Genghis sorry to hear about the baby bomb. Your reaction is totally normal. I think most people in our situations get those feelings, the sadness, the anger, the guilt. Let yourself have those feelings and don't put too much pressure on yourself to feel okay about it. Try to do something nice for yourself over the weekend. You deserve it!

Rainy I'm glad you got the Clomid, I think I would've refused to leave without it if they'd lost my prescription!

I'm still crampy and moody, no AF yet though. Does anyone else find they get a long lead up of symptoms before AF? It's the mood effects I find the hardest.

The metformin sounds promising doesn't it?! I'll have to drop in into conversation with the doctor in my next appointment! I hope it'll have the same effect for you Magpie. I don't really get consistent symptoms on the run up to AF, which was rather disappointing in the first few months of TTC as with each month, I'd have different symptoms and get my hopes up. Now I try to embrace my diversity :)

Oh no, BBH! Well he'll have to do some grovelling tomorrow when the two lines appear in front of his eyes. I like how he thought you'd draw on the second line.

I spoke to a lady today that I found out she is pregnant and she went through IVF and got pregnant on the first round, she had totally written of ever getting pregnant, months of Clomid and other drugs and she finally managed with ivf, gives such hope,

I've had a packet of digital for a while. I have one left after this but this was this morning at 11dpo

Thanks guys. I too had kinda given up. I think that's why this bfp has thrown me. I know I had a small amount of hope but I don't think I realised how small

Ghengis sorry you were baby bombed. Your reaction is completely normal and understandable so don't be hard on yourself. It will be your turn soon.

Magpie I get the build up to AF although it isn't as long since the mmc. I used to start getting pre AF symptoms a few days after ovulating but not get them about 3-4 days before AF. Fx AF doesn't show up.

Rainy good luck with the clomid and fx this is your month.

Not too bad kellz. I got a positive opk today so guess I will ovulate tomorrow. Have you been trying this month?

Not actively, but haven't shut off altogether, so hard to but being on holiday helped I could still tell when I ovulated (well I think) been cramping lightly since, AF due Tuesday and we've decided to try again with opks etc. Fx for you xx

DizzyM yay for positive OPKs! I hope the 2ww passes quickly for you and that this is your cycle! That's interesting that your AF symptoms used to stop a few days before AF. It's amazing how much it can vary between people.

Genghis yes to embracing the diversity. Maybe I should try to adopt that approach for my irregular cycles?

No change from me, still in my stupidly long and painful AF build up!
