Shemozzle · 23/02/2016 22:25

Anyone care to join me? The monthly bus threads just starting to get me down, I'm starting to feel bitter about congratulating all the first month of trying BFP's and so I need to step away. I was very lucky to have conceived accidentally somewhat miraculously with my dd1 and dd2 and always imagined I'd struggle if actually trying, and here we are.

I'm 29, dp is 43
TTC number 3
Cycle 6

I've still got chocolates left over from Valentines Day! We agreed no Easter eggs this year. I like chocolate, I just don't eat much at a time.

Zoefitness · 24/03/2016 11:57

Haha you still have chocolates left over from Valentine's Day!!

Wow you are good, I would have eaten those up on the day!!

bluebird3 · 24/03/2016 15:39

Sorry af got you lovely! Onwards and upwards.

I spoke too soon about dh being 'up' for it more now. We had an awkward encounter the other night of performance anxiety! DH got angry and said this never used to happen when dtd wasn't forced! I tried to explain to him that it's only the 3rd time this has ever happened in the year we've been trying and we have sex about 3-4xs a week now, where before it was max 1x/week sometimes less. So it's bound to happen now and again. I just pushed it too far this month. The GP suggested we have sex every day cd10-18 and by day 5. Overdid it... Need to stick to every other day or every 2 days. Bad advice GP!

Zoefitness · 24/03/2016 17:54

Aww bluebird sorry to hear that. My DP and I had a similar encounter last week or so now. He just couldn't perform and then had a meltdown, saying the same as your DH, this has never happend before, it's too much pressure etc. made me feel so bad.

I don't understand why your gp told you to Dtd every day during cd 10-18. My gp said twice a week is enough but in my personal opinion, I think every other day is probably best.

Try and have a nice relaxing weekend together now and forget about doing it every day - I don't think you need to do that

AF has arrived early - CD22
I'm normally CD24-27 but I've been ill with an awful flu type bug this week so maybe that's brought it on early.
On to the next month...
Sorry to hear your DH's are struggling. That's no fun at all. I can thoroughly recommend a mini-break to help get you in the mood. I know that's not always practical but if you can then it may help.

LovelyFishy · 25/03/2016 09:51

I have started looking at my future predicted ovulation dates and our time off, I think it could be a good shout!

babyinthacorner · 25/03/2016 10:04

Lucky sorry to hear that. I also have short cycles - seem to be 24 days on the dot at the moment. At least it's not too long to wait each time!

LuckyBlackKitty · 25/03/2016 10:15

Yes, baby - there is that. Doesn't seem to make the tww go any quicker though, does it! Wink

I would recommend it Lovely. It means you're not too tired after work or trying to squeeze in dtd into a packed schedule which helps a lot with the pressure.

Mbire · 25/03/2016 14:02

LuckyBlackKitty is AF a normal flow? My best friend had that implantation bleeding and mistook it for AF. Realised a few weeks later that she was actually pregnant! Just a thought!

LovelyFishy · 25/03/2016 18:33

If it is proper AF Lucky I feel your pain. I had a super sulk on the first day but I've perked up again now! Fertile week is very close already which cheered me up. Grin

On the other side just been comparing mine and DH's shifts, there will be no fertile week holiday for a good few months! Confused

LuckyBlackKitty · 25/03/2016 20:08

Mbire - thanks for the positive thought. It's a little lighter than normal but I would imagine heavier than implantation bleeding. I'm having cramping so I think I'll be in full swing soon enough.

Lovely - I get over my disappointment quite quickly too and start the countdown to fertile week.
Sorry to hear you can't coordinate schedules anytime soon. That must be an added frustration! Hmm

LovelyFishy · 25/03/2016 22:07

My next 2-3 predicted fertile weeks all start on day one of my six shift set! Sooooo annoying! However DH turned it into a joke, said he'd pop by lunchtime so we could have a quickie! Teeheehee. GrinWink PS That would so never happen, but it did make me giggle!

Zoefitness · 26/03/2016 14:38

Sorry to hear that your AF has turned up Kitty - mine has too but we didn't try last cycle so I was expecting it.

Not long now until we can start DTD again.

Af really does like to play games on us whilst Ttc. My AF started yesterday (a couple of spots) and then it stopped. This has never happend before. If we had DTD i would be thinking that perhaps it was implantation bleeding but I know that it isn't.

It's just a head .

I really hope that it doesn't take too much longer before we all get our bfp's. We really deserve them, we have been waiting for ageeeees now.

AskPrayHope · 26/03/2016 18:36

Hi all, hope I can join? Screw the Easter Chocolate, I bring tubs of Ben & Jerry's ice-cream Grin

AF came today, 2 days late but she came. And the real kicker? I had just been to Asda to get a PT, went to the loo & BAM Easter Angry Happy Easter.

I'm 25
I've just started my 6th cycle trying to conceive.
I'm on my 7th cycle of no contraception.

I am no longer using OPKs & I don't POAS until I'm 2 days late - this was my tactic to save disappointment, but it's not really working Hmm

Wishing luck to everyone, I know how much this means - trust me Flowers

Aidycake34 · 26/03/2016 18:43

I too came on 4 days ago after 5 days of spotting. I've decided to go and see my gp so I've an appointment for next Thursday morning. I Really want to get to the bottom of why I'm spotting for so long before af arrives and she couldn't give me any answers when I last saw her so I want to be referred on to someone who can. Dh dropped a bit of a bombshell the other night saying that if I don't get pregnant by the end of the year then he thinks we should just leave it as he doesn't want to be too old having another baby (he's 46 in August). I don't feel under any more pressure but I do feel more determined.
Sorry for those of you who've also just gotten af, it's disappointing but at least we can all move onto the next cycle which hopefully will be more successful.

LovelyFishy · 26/03/2016 19:30

Welcome Ask and Aidy!

There really is nothing like thinking you might have finally got pregnant to being on AF is there? Angry

I took a different approach with poas last month. I left them all in easy reach by the loo and told myself I could use one whenever I wanted, no fuss. This feeling allowed me to use less than the month before!

Aidycake34 · 26/03/2016 20:05

I just don't allow myself to poas anymore because I feel stupid when I do and then try and convince myself that I can see a line when there's definitely nothing there.

Zoefitness · 26/03/2016 21:40

Hi Askpreyhope, YUM Ben & Jerries! I'll have some of that please Wink sorry that Af has arrived for you too Sad. Wishing you lots of luck for the next cycle Flowers

Hi Aidy - yes this spotting thing is very strange. I really hope that you manage to get referred. My doctor was hesitant to refer me to a specialist and I have endometriosis symptoms. Literally can't believe it. She said the waiting list is really large. I'm considering paying to go private.

I am assuming that you want to carry on Ttc. How long have you been Ttc for?

Aidycake34 · 27/03/2016 08:40

Hi Zoe, we've been ttc since last June. I'm going to keep trying until dh says he definitely doesn't want to anymore. I've been to the gp last November about the spotting and she did the 21 day tests which came back fine and she wasn't overly concerned. She said that if it continues she would refer me so I'm hoping that she actually does. I feel as though it's hormone related, like I've got too much of something or not enough of something (no idea what) and that it could be sorted fairly easily. That's just my gut, I may be wrong. We're currently in the process of buying a new house so money is a bit tight but once things have settled down il definitely consider going private but I just want to get myself in the system so to speak.
What symptoms of endo do you have? Its a bit mean not referring you just cause the lists Is long.

LuckyBlackKitty · 27/03/2016 10:13

Hi Ask and Aidy

Sorry you're having to join this thread. I wish it was a pregnancy thread and we all had our BFPs

Ask - I've had a few occasions where I've poas at 1 or 2 days late and then when I wipe I realise AF has arrived. I'm sure it's my body's way of taunting me! It feels like a big two fingers up with the witch chanting 'ha ha that's another test wasted'

Aidy - I hope you figure out what's going on with the spotting.

AskPrayHope · 27/03/2016 11:26

No LovelyFishy, there isn't. The annoying thing I'm reading now though is even if you get AF it doesn't actually mean you're ovulating, & all the LH surges may just be surges & not actual egg release. So actually, the whole month is a waste of time Sad there is my downer for the day!

Zoe, I have all flavours of Ben & Jerry's & lots of spoons - so dig in Grin

Yes Lucky it's a kick when you're already down. Maybe I should just not test until I'm at least a week late... Maybe that will save some anger each month. Maybe...

Zoefitness · 27/03/2016 16:23

Happy Easter everyoneEaster Smile

Aidy I also think that it's hormone related, definitely don't think that it's anything major. I am still spotting!! I thought that AF would have started properly now :s. If you do find anything out about it, please let me know as I'm not going to get anywhere with my GP.

The reason why I would like to be tested for endo is because I have very heavy periods, ridiculously painful periods, cramping in the lower left side of my pelvis. Also, I have been to A&E twice now (both happend on the weekends annoyingly) with the most excruciating pain in my pelvis (concentrated to one side only). I had scans carried out about three weeks later, both times, in order to find out what it was but they have never found anything and the last time it Happend, my doctor said that it was pro ably a cyst and they can be caused by Endo.

Aww thank you Askpreyhope. X

bluebird3 · 28/03/2016 18:17

How's everyone doing?

I also have spotting. It's anywhere from 2-5 days before af and 1-2 days after. My gp didn't seemed concerned but I'm not sure she really was listening. Easter Hmm. I'm 10dpo (I think) but not testing for a few days at least. Hope everyone had a nice Easter. Easter SmileEaster SmileEaster Smile

LuckyBlackKitty · 28/03/2016 20:40

Ooh not long until you can test bluebird. When is af due?

I've been getting over a flu type bug so have spent most of Easter sat on my arse watching box sets. Work is going to be a shock tomorrow!

Zoefitness · 28/03/2016 21:31

Hey bluebird. Fingers crossed for you!

I have been in agony today with AF Pains - such a waste of a day off!! The spotting before AF is just annoying, nobody wants to use more tampons than they need to. I'm hoping that it won't happen next cycle, my doctor doesn't really listen either so I really don't want to have to tell her that that's my latest bizarre symptom!!

That sucks Kitty and I'm kind of in the same boat as you - I've been ill all weekend so haven't been able to go anywhere or do anything fun Sad. Absolutely dreading work tomorrow.
