Anyone care to join me? The monthly bus threads just starting to get me down, I'm starting to feel bitter about congratulating all the first month of trying BFP's and so I need to step away. I was very lucky to have conceived accidentally somewhat miraculously with my dd1 and dd2 and always imagined I'd struggle if actually trying, and here we are.

I'm 29, dp is 43
TTC number 3
Cycle 6
Cd1

My next step is a scan and my husband is also going for the aperm check. I told the doc that we are trying 11 months but in actual fact it's only 8 but I knew they would tell me to go away. I'm really trying not to get worried just yet as unknown so many who are pregnant now who were trying for about 10+ months.
I'm trying to plan for this month. I usually get the smiley on day 18 so I'm thinking of doing day 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20. Does that sound ok? I never know what to do when it actually comes as the instinct is to go and do it as many times as possible but then they say every two days don't they?

Mbire · 11/04/2016 18:02

Sorry lots of spelling mistakes!

I'm still waiting for AF. What I thought was spotting was one tiny bit that night and one tiny bit yesterday afternoon. Had ridiculous cramping yesterday to such an extent I kept running to the bathroom. Had the usual headache too but today no cramping. I'm baffled. I normally have at the very least two days of spotting and my calculations say AF is due today or tomorrow. I had a temp drop this morning but not as much as usual.
Guess I'll just wait it out. I'm planning on getting my bloods done on Thursday and then the results a week later.
mbire we DTD every other day starting as early as possible until we burn out! I ovulate earlier than you though, around day 13-15 although sometimes later. Every other day is usually the recommendation. Have you had any other tests?
Zoe I would assume they would test for everything and ivf is a last resort.

Hi Ladies, hoping you wont mind me joining in.

I'm 31 and have been trying since July/August. I did get pregnant but had a missed miscarriage that was found at 12 weeks just before xmas.

Starting to get me down down that its been 4 cycles since and nothing. Thought I had it this month as my period was 5 days late but just my body playing cruel tricks I guess as AF well in full flow now :(

It so hard when it seems like everyone around you is pregnant!

Mbire · 12/04/2016 19:58

Hi Llindsey, welcome. That's really hard to have a mc at 12 weeks. Only thing is that at least you know that your body can get pregnant so hopefully it won't take so long again. I know, it does seem like it but really I do think lots of women have to wait. There's a thread on here where everyone says how long it took to get pregnant and read that to get an idea of the stark variation of answers!
Thanks simply divine, we have been doing different things. My first doctor told me to abstain until the fertile window and that went against everything I've ever heard! Then the next doctor said every second day throughout the month which sounds better! I just keep thinking I need to change something as it keeps not working !!!
Yes bloods came back fine so I'm now waiting on the appointment for the scan and DH is going for semen check on Tuesday. It's day 9 so we will have to wait til day 10 to start. its a mine field!!

cherry4 · 12/04/2016 21:28

Hi all,
Back after a few weeks and waiting for af, but after last month lost track of when it's due - anytime from the 16th so I'm counting down now....

LovelyFishy · 13/04/2016 22:23

Welcome Llindsey. That sounds so tough, this ttc can be so hard and cruel. Flowers

I'm also back after a little break. Lots of baby bombs this week via Facebook, it seems that everyone else can get pregnant but me... Gah!

AF due 20th, it'll be onto cycle 9 if it's not this month...

Aidycake34 · 17/04/2016 18:57

Hi, I'm also back after a few weeks. Af is due today and it's not yet made an appearance. I had dark brown spotting from day 7po until about 2 days ago and iv had nothing since. I've also had cramping on and off for the last week. Did an internet cheapie test earlier and I'm sure I saw a faint line but dh says he couldn't see anything and it's just wishful thinking. I did another test later that he doesn't know about and that was a bfn. My stomach is cramping a lot today and I don't feel pregnant so I'm sure it'll come in a few days and this is just my body playing a big cruel joke on me!!

Mbire · 18/04/2016 12:38

Hi Aidycake! Just catching up. Any news on that? Sounds like possible early symptoms!!

LovelyFishy · 18/04/2016 16:30

Aidy I'm due AF Wednesday and my body's playing games with me too. Odd cramping and had a bit of spotting which I never have. Don't want to get my hopes up because I know what'll happen then... Hope AF stays away for you!!

Zoefitness · 18/04/2016 17:29

Hi Lindsey, so sorry to hear that. That's rough. You've had a miscarriage and as awful as it is, it means that you can get pregnant so just hold on in there and keep dtd lot's.

Hi Mbire - that's good news that your having your tests. Let me know what happens next after the SA. DP is due his second one next month.

Good luck Cherry!!

Aidy - did you take a test this morning?

Lovely - good luck for this cycle, the spotting sounds promising? I hate the strange/new symptoms, how confusing. I'm due AF this week but I'm pretty sure AF will make an appearance soon - my new AF symptoms such as; painful breast, lower pelvic cramping..plus old symptoms such as; vile temper, have made an appearance so not holding onto any hope this month which I am really upset about as this month was so relaxed.

Aidycake34 · 18/04/2016 20:56

Yes I did the test and it was negative. This has never happened before, my cycles are always 26 days so I've no idea why af hasn't arrived. All I can think is that it must Be stress as I've got a stressful job and am in the process of buying a new house/selling my current house. Anyway, I'm having a glass of wine tonight to help me relax and to cheer myself up. I just want af to come so I can move onto the next cycle.

LovelyFishy · 20/04/2016 15:57

Aidy a few years ago I managed to delay AF by 2 weeks due to stress! Was it a cheapie test or an expensive one?

AF arrived yesterday so it's onto cycle 9....yay! I thought I'd feel really down if AF showed up this time, but I'm not. I would have had a Christmas baby (same as my dad), and would have had a baby in 2016 and when I was 28 which were two things I was sure I'd do but are now not possible. However I'm just feeling pretty relaxed...weird. Confused

simplydivine05 · 27/04/2016 09:54

Hi everyone, how we all doing? I got my test results - all normal. Next step is DP will be tested and then we will be referred to a fertility specialist. In the interim, I have started my tww today.

Mbire · 27/04/2016 16:38

My DH went for his check last week. He was traumatised after it!! He didn't produce much but still waiting on the results. I am also going for an ultrasound next Thursday to check that everything is ok. I presume the next step after that will be a fertility specialist. Just really hoping it doesn't come to that.
I feel like doctors haven't listened and are being very passive. One doctor is saying one thing and the other is saying the opposite.

MancombSeepgood · 28/04/2016 11:07

Good luck in your tww simply divine.

This month I started praying a special Rosary Novena for this intention. Sure enough, God has blessed me with a BFP Smile
I hope you are all blessed very soon Smile

Mbire · 28/04/2016 12:16

Wow congratulations! That's fantastic news. What cycle were you on?? I do hope we all get one soon!

Mbire · 28/04/2016 12:16

Ps you're the first in this group-I was starting to worry!

MancombSeepgood · 28/04/2016 12:25

Thanks Mbire! This was cycle 8 Grin fingers crossed I am the first of many here. Which cycle are you on?

Mbire · 28/04/2016 19:52

Aidycake34 · 28/04/2016 20:10
