Geek may I take the opportunity to say for the first time LTB? :o

Fab news Mol, I'd love a little boy to go with my DDs

I have some exciting non pg news, I had an interview this morning and have been offered the job. I start next week, it's part time and they are flexible on hours so I can fit around childcare.

Imps9 · 13/04/2016 15:34

Well done Pasta you clever clogs! Will you be making people's boobs bigger for a living?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 13/04/2016 15:47

Well done pasta, I just properly giggled at imps job suggestion! It sounds like a perfect job.

geek what was he thinking - Though of course you should have taken a photo immediately! Congrats on get the intrallipds sorted, it must be a weight off your mind.

mol So nice to see you, and a little brother for your daughters, how lovely. And nearly half way there.

Unfortunately not boob related, it is sales ledger for a company that deals with organising corporate relocations

Imps9 · 13/04/2016 21:09

Hmm that doesn't sound quite so much fun Pasta...

Am a broken woman this evening. I thought I was feeling better and that I should be getting some energy back by now

Pastamancer · 13/04/2016 21:11

For most people morning sickness goes by about 14 weeks with DD2 it was 36 weeks

BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/04/2016 06:24

No imps not more vomming. Hoe you feel better soon

geek hope you've hidden today's peestick from MrG :o

keep when do you next see your mw? looking at the timeline mine has given me we have our 12 week scan and then we don't see anyone until the 18 week scan. Maybe I should check with her when she steals my blood next week!

cartoontrickster · 14/04/2016 08:13

Hey mol I wondered where you had got to. Congrats on the baby boy Flowers

Oh no imps hope you start to feel better soon.

beedle do you not have a 16wk midwife appointment?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 14/04/2016 08:52

No I don't Think so trix I thought I'd Heard people talking about an appointment at 16 weeks but I wasn't sure but my timetable doesn't show anything. I will check

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 14/04/2016 09:16

Perhaps it's different over there. I had an appointment at 16wks with the midwife. I was sooooo nervous because I knew they listen to the heart beat and I was convinced she wouldn't find it. Then had a scan at 20wks.

Pastamancer · 14/04/2016 09:38

We have one at 16 weeks here but some MWs don't use the doppler at that appointment as it can be tricky to find and they don't want to cause worry.

keepitgoing · 14/04/2016 12:05

Yes here it is 16 week MW appt (mine is next Friday) and then 20 week scan but if your scan is at 18 weeks it may be different, I wouldn't worry

Imps9 · 14/04/2016 14:09

Hello lovelies hope you're all having a good day.

Geek where's today's peestick hmm? HMMMMMM?

What does your scan/MW timetable look like Beedles? Gosh it's funny to think that hopefully 16 weeks is only 4 weeks away for me. It's strange - on a day to day basis time is going very slowly, but when I look back, 8 weeks has flown by.

Dammit can't remember what else I was going to say.

Pastamancer · 14/04/2016 14:11

Baby brain kicking in Imps?

Imps9 · 14/04/2016 14:14

Oh that's it. I've got a cracking headache today and an unquenchable thirst. Is this standard practice for 12 weeks, oh wise preggo people?

Imps9 · 14/04/2016 14:17

Aaah have just found this which seems to suggest 'tis all normal:

www.tommys.org/pregnancy/calendar/11-12-weeks

ControlGeek · 14/04/2016 17:56

pasta I am most disappointed, your job really needs to involve boobs Grin

congratulations mol!!! How lovely for your dds too

Sorry imps this is my first chance to check mn today. Pic duly attached. Just to forewarn you, no pic tomorrow as no sticks will be peed on, since I'm taking none with me to the hotel.

MrG would not DARE throw another pee stick away. He now comprehends the depths of his stupidity. We're just about to head off on our mini-jolly and will be going out for a meal later as it's MrG's birthday today. Intralipids first thing tomorrow, so things are ticking along nicely.

The one where we all get and stay diffed, and we're brooking no argument about it
cartoontrickster · 14/04/2016 18:22

Happy birthday Mr geek! hope you both have a lovely meal.

Imps9 · 14/04/2016 20:13

FFS - just watching One Born Every Minute - What Happened Next, and one of the couples is trying for baby 2 through IVF. The narrator says:

"It's a race against time for Vicki and Janet to conceive through IVF - chances of success go down with age, and Vicki is 34."

34?? FFS media, stop writing women off as past it once they've got beyond their early 30s. "A race against time" at 34?? It's so unfair to scare women like that.

Grrrr.

Hope you're having a gorgeous evening Geek! Happy birthday to Mr G!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/04/2016 06:22

Good luck today geek and hope you had a nice evening Smile Oh and Lovely dark line yesterday. Are you sure you didn't take a peestick and a ramekin with you? :o

34? imps well they might as well give up now Hmm did the narrator helpfully suggest they adopt instead? Hmm

I've got to take a pee sample to my next appointment so I've been given a tiny little pot (with lid) and a slightly larger but still small plastic pot to Catch the pee in first. So I now have a midwife-endorsed-ramekin :o Plus a bit of paper which I haven't looked at - surely no-one needs instructions for a pee sample?

OP posts:
Imps9 · 15/04/2016 07:00

Ohhhhh the MWER (midwife endorsed ramekins) are tiny. I completely missed on my first attempt Blush Am going to have to pee in a normal ramekin and decant it with a funnel next time.

What time's your drip Geek? Hope you're having a yummy hotel breakfast.

I thought it was selfish of them to even try at 34 Beedles. How will the child feel with such a geriatric mother?

Imps9 · 15/04/2016 07:01

Oh, I didn't read your post properly about having a separate ramekin! We just get the teeny tiny pot!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 15/04/2016 07:31

yes I'm sure I'm just as likely to get pee on my fingers decanting from ramekin to pot as I would trying to Catch the pee directly in the pot in the first Place. Using a funnel from the kitchen might be a step too far!

I'm feeling really quite rough this morning, I Think its because I'm tired.

OP posts:
Imps9 · 15/04/2016 10:52

I think it's because you're growing a human Beedles!
