Trix I went to Coventry and for their NK tests they take a biopsy from the lining of your womb so I think your doctor was referring to Shehata who tests just the blood.

There is no way we can afford intralipids or anything else. I haven't worked since I sold my clients in Jan 2013 and we just don't have much money left at the end of each month, we just about get by. And i can't return to the industry I worked in unless I go full time but I can't do that as childcare options here are rubbish and DH can't help with school/nursery drop offs or pick ups because of his commute. Unless I can find a job working from home part time doing the back office side of things I can't see our finances changing until parents die. And neither set would help us out. Despite having money, my folks only gave us £250 towards our wedding because they had paid for my first marriage. I get £15 for my birthday from my mother, that's it. A 75p Easter egg. She has only invited us to theirs for a meal once since we moved to be closer to them 19 months ago. There is no point asking for help!!

cartoontrickster · 07/04/2016 20:51

Ahh ok loopy it was shehata that I saw so makes sense now. Have you spoken to your clinic to see what they want to do next?

ControlGeek · 07/04/2016 21:57

Bollocks. Spotting again for the third day running. I know it's common, and I know it can mean nothing, but I also know this is how my others went. Time to start putting the defences back in place I think.

Imps9 · 08/04/2016 07:11

Oh Geek my lovely. Can you self-refer/get a referral to the EPU so they can check your bloods?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/04/2016 07:20

Geek will keep everything crossed for you.

FYI the woman from the other thread had lots of red bleeding for most of last week, but she finally managed to get her blood tested and her hcg more than tripled between Monday and Wednesday so just goes to show that bleeding doesn't mean it's over! She has a scan next Thursday when they will hopefully see if she has one or two snuggled in there.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/04/2016 07:39

loopy so sorry that intrallipids are out of reach, and sorry that your parents aren't more helpful. Isn't the new Tommy's clinic opening soon, I wonder if you could get on to one of the trials they are doing? Though it may well be stuff you've already tried.

Wonderful news for your friend on the other thread.

geek sorry about the spotting, I'm still sending all my brooking that this is a sticky one for you.

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 08/04/2016 07:53

The sticks are showing it's still increasing imps so I'd rather save my money not to mention our epau is one of the most badly designed/run in the country Got my first properly decent line on an ic this morning - even MrG could see it without his glasses! As much as anything I'm concerned the spotting might indicate another empty sac like the two that made it as far as the scan. I know only time will tell on that one though.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/04/2016 08:38

Beedles the Coventry team are still waiting for ethical permissions, looks like it won't launch until the end of the month now. They will be trialling sitagliptin which we think you need to take for 2 or 3 months and must not ttc whilst on it, then come off it and ttc. But rumour is they may have cut off age of 40 which I will be in just under 6 months time and several of us have asked how we get involved in the trials but they won't give us details yet.

Yay for your stronger line geek.

I POAS again as DH bought tests and I'm using it as an experiment to see exactly what happens to the line before it ends. Still have the second line, I think it's a tad lighter than yesterday's one. Guess it won't last more than another couple of days. 15dpo today so line really would have gone darker by now if things were ok in there.

Imps9 · 08/04/2016 09:01

Are you still testing with FMU Loops? It's taking a long time for the line to disappear isn't it. Annoying. Any chance of a photo?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/04/2016 09:20

loopy looks like you will be cutting it a bit fine for that trial. and 2/3 months of enforced not ttc is hard even for me who has never got sperm to meet egg naturally. My clinic kept talking to me about an IMSI trial and I had to keep pointing out that they had a limit of under 39 when I was already 39. Obviously I still look 25 so its not surprising they were confused!

geek you wouldn't have to pay for the epu tests would you? though they probably can't tell you anything new yet. Fab news for the darker line though.

Oh and MrB noticed last night that my boobs are bigger, he stared at them for a Little while and then told me yes they are a bit bigger aren't they :o (yes dear just 2 cup sizes!)

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 08/04/2016 09:37

beedle I can't self-refer to the epau, and it's unlikely that a gp would refer me for blood tests for spotting before 4 weeks. I'd also much rather not go to the epau for anything ever again so out of preference would go to a private clinic at £60 a shot.

Yay for bigger boobs beedle - you'll be a HHH cup in no time Grin

loopy there's still time for you to get in on that trial my lovely, don't give up hope. I'm sorry about the crap situation with the intralipids/treatment funding.

That's brilliant news about your friend on the other thread loopy, I'm keeping everything crossed that things continue to go well for her.

My intralipids prescription has come through from Spain, now starts the fun task of trying to get a prescription from my GP, which is only marginally easier than stealing gold from Fort Knox!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/04/2016 09:56

oh that's annoying about needing referral geek hope you manage to persuade the dr to give you the prescription

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 08/04/2016 13:53

Today's line at 15 dpo. At least I can prove that I don't make up these pregnancies now as can show the sticks and/or photos.

The one where we all get and stay diffed, and we're brooking no argument about it
Imps9 · 08/04/2016 18:21

Loops, it's odd. The line isn't darker but to me it doesn't seem any lighter either. What time of the day did you test? Is it unusual for the faint lines to hang around for so many days?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 09/04/2016 07:22

It does seem strange that your lines stay pale for a few days loopy I have no idea why.

I had a lovely night out last night, I met up with my best work friend before we got to the venue and told her I am pregnant. She was so excited for me (she doesn't know about the ivf or anything). I think I'd forgotten what a normal reaction to pregnancy is like. She understands its still early and still fingers crossed time but it was lovely. She also said she and her boyfriend are ttc, which could cause a massive headache for our boss as we are 2 of only 4 people in our team who do what we do!

I think another close colleague noticed I wasn't drinking but even if he suspected why he's nice enough not to say anything.

OP posts:
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 09/04/2016 07:38

So after 5 days of BFP's, today at 16 dpo the test is BFN so just got to wait for the inevitable now.

I'm not too upset, when the lines didn't darken I was sure it wasn't going to work out so I never let myself believe there might be a baby at the end of this one. I don't think I will ever believe that until I get past 6 weeks and have dark lines and have seen a heart beat.

Hope everyone has a good weekend and hope you are doing ok Geek.

Imps9 · 09/04/2016 07:51

Oh Loops. Sorry lovely. Onwards to shag week - brooking so hard for a different outcome next cycle.

Yes, how are things with you Geek?

How lovely to tell a friend Beedles! I hope I get to tell people the week after next.

Murky weather today. What's everyone got in store?

ControlGeek · 09/04/2016 08:10

loopy I'm so sorry, I hope you get a chance to take things nice and easy for the next few days. I know exactly what you mean about not believing there might be a baby at the end of a positive stick until you have scan proof.

beedle that must have been an amazing moment, telling your friend. Will you tell her it's not been easy, or will you just keep it as a 'normal' pregnancy?

imps I'm on standby for work Sad all our systems went down yesterday lunchtime and the poor techie guys were working til the wee hours of the morning to sort the issue out. It really should be illegal to be up at this time on a weekend!

Lines progressing here, I've only got one FRER left so I'm just doing ICs now. Lovely prescription clerk at my Gp surgery has my prescription in hand, I should be able to pick it up middle of next week. Relief!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 09/04/2016 09:13

Sorry to hear that loopy we were all hoping it would be your sticky one this time.

geek you'll be in trouble with imps if you don't post a picture! Hope you get to relax at home and not go into work today.

It was really lovely telling her, I decided that if it goes wrong at this stage it will be easier if someone other than my boss knows at work. I'll probably tell her that it wasn't easy but I'm not sure I'm ready to go into details of exactly how hard its been yet.

I'm away with work in a month's time for a conference - at a spa. I think by then (fingers crossed) it will be pretty hard to hide the combination of teeny bump/massive bloat and not drinking.

OP posts:
ControlGeek · 09/04/2016 10:13

OMG Beedle your work hold conferences at a spa?!?!

Sorry... yes, just for imps Grin The bottom one is today's, top one is yesterday's.

The one where we all get and stay diffed, and we're brooking no argument about it
BeedlesPineNeedles · 09/04/2016 12:44

Don't worry geek we'll probably get about 1 hour in the evening to enjoying the spa. The rest of the time will be work, work, work. This is where we're going :o

Oh and those ic lines are definitely getting darker. Glad you've got the prescription sorted.

Wonderful scan news beedle, imps and keep, this is your time, yay!! Imps so pleased my old pal and what a great fufc bfp!!!
Loopy I am so sorry about your chemical pregnancies and not being able to access help, really hope it's just a question of getting a sticky one for you.
Geek I am Brooking like mad for you. I had awful bleedin g and spotting with dd and I was convinced it was over. With ds I had terrible cramps that felt like at was coming so don't despair just yet x

Imps9 · 10/04/2016 07:43

Had a dream last night that Mr Imps and I had a baby boy and gave it the double-barrelled first name Barry-Baxter Confused

Far!! Hello lovely . I love it when Brookers pop in to catch up on the news. It's been a positive start to the year but 2016 definitely still has a lot more work to do to make sure we all get and stay diffed.

How are mini-far and even minier-far getting along?

Pastamancer · 10/04/2016 09:01

That is your body letting you know it is twins Imps we are due another set of brooking twins or triplets

Imps9 · 10/04/2016 09:25

If that's true Pasta then both sonographers have done a really shit job!
