Promise it gets better cwtchy! It's worth it! I've just had a 40 day cycle having ovulated on day 25 so not bad at all. And I'm quite bad at remembering to take it some days so if I manage to take it on time I'm sure my cycles will shorten a bit more

Shellbell0403 · 20/03/2016 17:09

Can I ask.... Do you still have a wee wine etc or all strict etc??

MagpieCursedTea · 20/03/2016 17:29

Cwtchy my sickness etc has pretty much disappeared now after nearly a month on metformin (the first couple of weeks were hell). My weight is dropping but I've been eating low GI. I had been bleeding for 3 months straight and had norethisterone to stop it. I started taking met the same day I got the withdrawal bleed, I got some positive OPKs about 12 days ago but not notable temp shift. I had a massive temp drop this morning though and started bleeding (CD26). I'm taking it as a good sign.
I hope your symptoms improve soon. I would wait until you feel a bit better before upping the dose!

Shell I have the occasional little wine, it's the only vice I have left!

Banana I'm so sorry for everything you've been through. Your strength is truly amazing. I wish you all the best.

stealthbanana · 21/03/2016 08:15

cwtchy it definitely gets better unless you eat lots of fat, then you're back to square one . Just take your time!

shell I definitely have more than a little wine. I'd like to say that it's because I've carefully studied the odds and concluded it doesn't matter; in reality i have no will power!

CwtchyQ · 21/03/2016 11:10

Damn the whole "not eating fats" thing is hard. It's all I want while I'm on! Fat and carbs. Chocolate! Basically everything. Sigh. I am my own worst enemy.

Shellbell0403 · 21/03/2016 12:18

Iv just had crisps... Ohh oh!

Well positive signs of ovulation today!! Scan again today!xx

DrewOB1 · 21/03/2016 13:47

High fat diet is better than carby I think. I survive on cheese :)

Shellbell0403 · 21/03/2016 15:17

Woohoo! Just out scan...

Lining was 7.5 and follicles were 2.3 and 1.9!! Signs of ovulation today too 😁😁

MagpieCursedTea · 21/03/2016 16:05

Fantastic news shell! Does that the difference in follicle size mean you're only going to have a single egg? Or is there still a chance of two?

bananafish81 · 21/03/2016 16:27

Are they going to trigger you shell?

Or is there sign of the follicles having ruptured (ie what do you mean by signs of ovulation?)

Shellbell0403 · 21/03/2016 16:45

Magpie Still chance of multiple... But they are unsure if eggs in both or even one etc...

Banana I have to go back for another scan on wed to make sure Defo ovulated... When I went today she said couldn't see anything but I have pain on my lower right side and had ewcm early this afternoon xx

DrewOB1 · 21/03/2016 17:26

Congratulations! All exciting stuff :)

Shellbell0403 · 21/03/2016 17:48

Thanks DrewOB :)

Not getting my hopes up but Atleast I know my lining can thicken etc xx

Shellbell0403 · 21/03/2016 20:03

Do you know CM really confuses me haha

RoseBud2016 · 21/03/2016 20:06

Shell I had a feeling your lining would sort itself out- yay! And your follies sound like they are about to pop! Perfect timing! Now get off MN and go and DTD again and again tomoz and Weds just for luck Wink

RoseBud2016 · 21/03/2016 20:47

Will try :( thanks rosebud!

Do you have cm experience? Xx

FrazzleRock · 22/03/2016 11:41

Hi everyone, I have a question about period after MC. TMI so look away if you're a bit squeamish.

A week and a half after I stopped bleeding, I had a random bleed just for one afternoon. Then, a week later I had a bit of brown blood, just spotting really, then the next day a lump of body tissue came out, then light bleed/spotting on and off the next day then nothing. Would I class that as my first period or not?

It's a minefield all this.

PS. This made me laugh. I've installed the Ovia fertility app, which I'm still trying to get my head around, I entered the above bleeding as a period and it said 'Not long to go until ovulation!' then something like 90 days until ov. Funny innit, having PCOS Hmm

FrazzleRock · 22/03/2016 11:45

PS, DP showing signs of trying again. Keeps saying 'if we have another...'
Just need that to change to 'WHEN we have another...'
And to get him to stop pulling out at that crucial moment! Sigh...

bananafish81 · 22/03/2016 12:07

My Dr told me clots might well come

I didn't really bleed after the ERPC so I was worried that I'd almost never have even known I'd had the procedure. As I felt no different physically when I was pregnant with a living baby, to pregnant with a dead baby, to then not pregnant

ERPC was last Mon, I only actually started bleeding on Sat. Whoosh. I wonder if that's almost like a period insofar as they obv removed most of the tissue, but guess maybe there was still lining that needed to break down. So given I only stopped the progesterone on the Monday maybe it took a few days for my lining to break down and this is a sort of period that isn't a period it's just the mc sort of completing itself

Ie it's not a period that's a new cycle that's been and gone since the mc. If that makes sense?

FrazzleRock · 22/03/2016 15:57

That's a long time to wait for the bleeding banana. I was bleeding immediately from the moment I woke up from the operation, did you have nothing? I bled really heavily that night and then again the next day before it tapered off. Is ERPC the same as surgical management? All these terms are so confusing! I think I'll assume whatever that spotting was, was a period. It's come back a bit today actually.
How are you feeling now?
I'm struggling today. A friend at work is only two weeks behind me (sorry was, I guess) and he was talking about having their scan next week. I've been holding back the tears since. One hour to go and I can go home and have a cry.

bananafish81 · 22/03/2016 16:10

Yes, Frazzle ERPC (evacuation of remaining products of conception) is surgical management. It used to be called a D&C (dilation and curettage) but as it’s now generally vacuum aspiration rather than the scrape, it’s the term that’s generally used now, I believe.

I had a little bit of spotting afterwards, but that was it. The histology report said they did obtain products of conception (so they can do the genetic testing) and the consultant’s operation report said there was minimal vaginal bleeding. Dr had said to expect bleeding, and not to worry if it was clotty, so I was wondering why I hadn't had any at all. Because I was on progesterone pessaries, and it normally takes a few days for a period to come after stopping them (because the lining breaks down in response to falling levels of progesterone), maybe they got all the tissue but there was some lining that only broke down once the progesterone levels had dropped.

I’m feeling pretty numb. And sad. And upset at the gruesome autopsy report we received on our dead baby, that we weren’t prepared for.

I’ve asked that when the genetics report is back, that they please don’t send it through the post. It’ll say whether the baby was a boy or a girl and I’m not sure I’m ready for that. And if the baby was chromosomal normal and it was my body that caused the miscarriage, I definitely want that new in context where we can discuss it. Sad

Obviously everywhere I go there are pregnant women and mums pushing buggies. I decided to mentally play a game so that I get a point for every baby or bump I see, like a game of Sonic the Hedgehog. It’s a shit game.

Shellbell0403 · 22/03/2016 17:08

Sending love and hugs banana and frazzle xxx
