shem for me chardonnay is my downfall!
I hope your DP didn't get his friends to read the text in the end!

I'm 26 and DH is 27, so hopefully no issues in the sperm department there Wink

wham This month I'm quite stressed about TTC, but I think I'll relax next month I hope If I conceive this month I'll get SMP, if I don't I'll be stuck on MA instead so I'm really hoping that it happens this month! I'm finding that the forums are making me more impatient so far Grin

RattieOfCatan · 07/02/2016 09:39

wham x-posted: With a long cycle do you find Ov happens when the calendars predict? I have OV tests but I have a 35-day cycle. According to all of the ones I found on google some calendars, I should ov around the 14th, but I have no clue when to start doing the tests. I was thinking tomorrow but if I have an early OV then I may have already missed it Confused

Kellz92 · 07/02/2016 10:38

Mimi, Trying I'm going to be good from Monday. Need to lose a bit more. Lost 3st last year but gained half back after my operation.

Fuzzy im sure it must be our time soon!

Mimi I'm hoping 5th March is a lucky day!!

FuzzyOwl · 07/02/2016 11:58

I hope it is too Kellz!

I also have a long cycle so the first two weeks are almost as slow as the 2ww as I usually ovulate from cd20 onwards. Only on cd11 at the moment, so still at the boring stage!

Yes, Rattie later for me. Looking back at my chart from ttc DD2 I was ovulating somewhere around CD19-20. CD14 will be based on a 28 day cycle as your luteal phase (ov day until period would be due) should be 14 days...hence two week wait. In a longer cycle it's the period until ov bit that's longer. This is why ov sticks and temping is invaluable, as you could easily miss your ov by a week or more.

Nimisha · 07/02/2016 16:08

Hi everyone can I join.

Ttc #3
Cycle 0 but hopefully my coil is coming out soon.
Been tracking my temps and ff thinks I ovulated at cycle day 22 so long cycles.

As I'm waiting to start properly ttc I've been eating loads of soft cheese and pate as I will really miss them when I'm pregnant.

My two are 4 and 6 so there will be a bit of an age gap. I'm getting jitters every now and again about going back to the baby stage and whether my two week miss out when there is a new baby about but mostly excited.

I'm going to but opk for next month but the temping was enough this month to pin point when I ovulated.

Lyssie · 07/02/2016 16:44

I'll hop on this thread too!!

I need a group of gals to cheer me on as my married sisters and friends are all trying not to conceive so I'm the odd duck. I've been off BC pills since January 23! DH and I are very excited and using the "every other day" method... All month because why not.

Nimisha · 07/02/2016 16:51

My cycles have been really irregular but trending towards long. We did the every other day method with my first.

WhamBamThankYouStan · 07/02/2016 18:56

Nimisha similar age gaps here, 6.5 and nearly 4yo girls already. The small is broody and weirdly desperate for a baby Confused, the big isn't keen on the Idea but I think will come around. I'm looking forward to the concept of them both being in full time school by the time we have a third, so it'll almost like having an only again during the day! Be quite odd I think. But nice.

Kellz92 · 07/02/2016 20:13

Fuzzy won't be long and you'll be ovulating then counting down the tww! X

Shemozzle · 07/02/2016 20:57

wham My girls are 8 and 2 and a half. The 6 year age gap was amazing. Dd2 was like an easier first pregnancy. Just as exciting as the first time but less nerve wracking. I'm a bit nervous about a 3 year age gap and that is hardly small! Dd2 was born in the school summer holidays, so nice for her to be about and inuded, she was at the birth too, then when she was back at school I filled my boots with baby cinema screenings and long day time naps. Now though dd1 is home educated so I won't be able to enjoy the one to one so much.

Hi nim I well and truly gorged on blue cheese, Brie and pate over Christmas in preparation for pregnancy! Now regretting the weight gain and desperately trying to lose weight before conceiving! I take it you have a copper coil if you are still ovulating?

Hi lyssie im rather jealous of your every other day method. Have fun!

Shemozzle · 07/02/2016 21:04

Oh, dp said earlier that he doesn't know what to do about his next band tour. The rest of the band can only do October half term as one is a teacher and we already said no to September as we have a festival and camping trip booked. He's realised that if I caught this month he'd be away on my due date. I'm impressed he's realised (my obsessive date checking is quite secretive Grin) but he can hardly say no because I might be pregnant then can he? I've said to agree and if in 2 weeks I am pregnant then I doubt they will have booked flights by then.

Has anyone else had any tricky dates like that? We've had wedding invited far away, and I wanted to book a hot air balloon ride as a Christmas gift for dp, also supposed to be going to Alton Towers with a relative this year (I bought the bloody vouchers) so many things that I'm worrying about. It's a strange kind of limbo worrying about committing to things and letting people down.

Kellz92 · 07/02/2016 22:15

Shemozzle, I really thought last cycle was mine. I have booked to go to Crete in August and was worrying because I would have been 31 weeks but I'm not so that gives me more time X

GinandJazzHands · 07/02/2016 23:07

Hey shemozzle yes same here - I'd like to book some time off in the summer and have what might hopefully be our last baby free holiday - but thinking I'd rather book it when I know the first trimester will be out of the way in case I feel awful. Silly really when so many women take so long to conceive but I can't help myself! Last cycle (first one post implant) was 42 days and the last thread I was on I think I was one of the lucky ones... CD3 today so guessing I've a long wait until OV but going to DTD EOD from a week's time and OPK every day just in case.

Lyssie · 07/02/2016 23:08

Shemozzle
It's easy when you are only nearly 20 years old... It's hard not to do it every other day, honestly... DH is adorable.

Kellz92 · 07/02/2016 23:45

Lol I'm only 23 and sometimes I can't be bothered with eod, however it's more because I work days and he works nights, and it involves me getting up earlier than I already am as DD is still sleeping. If he was on days too it would be easier. Still dtd eod anyway but some days I'd rather sleep lol. Was never like that until I had my daughter xx

Lyssie · 07/02/2016 23:59

Kellz
I know what you mean. I start my day @3:15am though... So I force my lovemaking upon him in the afternoon when he gets out. ;)

TinyPawz · 08/02/2016 01:15

Marathon shagging starting tomorrow, help! Simply cannot be annoyed with it. The baby making carryon is taking all the fun of dtd for me. DP however thinks it's Christmas/birthday/steak and bj day all rolled into one. Please please let this be our month, so I can get back to having fun

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 07:57

Hi gin not sure if i will be joining this bus or not. Cd46 today.
Crazy post pill cycles!
Almost positive opk on 26th Jan. EWCM on 27th....
Then a few days later started to get tender boobs which have got more tender as time has gone on. Nipples very sensitive too.

So ?12dpo today.

Some cramps yesterday evening and boobs a bit less sore today though so i expect AF on the way.

Tryingtowait · 08/02/2016 08:53

tiny I know what you mean my dp is the same thinks it's the best thing ever, but since ttc it feels more like I have to then want to sometimes. Hopefully March will be our month.

Fx you won't be joining the bus first in a nice way!

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 08:57

trying me too, but I suspect I will be!

Kellz92 · 08/02/2016 10:49

Lyssie Its difficult, im not as early as that anymore thank goodness. But he gets home around 6-630am, then i leave by just after 7, get in at 530 with DD and he leaves at 7pm. But we manage!

Tiny im the same as you! we DTD at the weekend for fun was much more enjoyable than because i want a baby!

Mimilicious013 · 08/02/2016 13:44

It's difficult to enjoy dtd that often.for me its become more of a chore but when can we do(we want babies).i would not mind just once a week tbh.dh on the other hand is having the time of his life.he is so willing to go at it every day or twice if he aint drinking.can't wait to get preggo and get a break.
Today just bought a pack of baby wrappers (hope it will bring me some luck this month )
first hope u get a bfp soon fx
GL on the marathon shagging tiny

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 13:48

I'm now trying to decide if my cramps yesterday could have actually been ovulation! I never did get a positive earlier on in my cycle and i ha assumed my boobs being sore was luteal phase symptoms, but now wondering if related to oestrogen!
had an almost opk today (didn't test over the weekend).

this is driving me nuts!

firstgo1984 · 08/02/2016 13:50

mimi and tiny I agree that it can sometimes feel like a chore. think might give up on the opks and just got for 3-4 times a week unil i get a BFP or fertility appointment now.
only been trying for 6 months but only had 2 chances in that time due to stupid cycles after pill. and i know we missed one of those chances!
