drwhy he is amazing! More than happy to discuss and look at stuff like that with me... he's a rare one haha

I'm extremely lucky to have a mega fast metabolism which means generally I eat and drink whatever I like and keep my size 6 figure lol!! Eating healthier now though 😁😁

StarkyTheDirewolf · 06/01/2016 21:02

I get on dh's nerves a bit with my metabolism, 7 very been virtually sedentary for 12 months and am still the same size as I was when I was excersizing 5 days a week (weights plus cardio!) I'm sure it will bite me on the arse at some point though, I'm fully anticipating turning into a sack of spuds any day now!

Anyone heard about eating/drinking more dairy to conceive or whilst pregnant? I don't really have dairy, maybe some cheese now and again or chocolate or ice cream occasionally but should I be having more?

Anything else that you've heard to be good for fertility?

Kwick709 · 06/01/2016 22:02

Hope it is ok for me to join?
I am on 2WW after nedicated IUi on Sunday - this is my 5th try.
In terms of things to do/eat this us what I am trying this time: plenty of dairy esp milk; keeo kidneys and feet warm at all time; laughing; 75mg of aspirin each day; 1/5 of a pineapply for days 1-5 after chukka-chukka/ovulation including core; visualisations
Well done to all bfps!! This looks like a lucky thread!

LanadelLol · 06/01/2016 22:04

I have munched through 3 packs of skips whilst reading pages 7 & 8 guys and now I feel like I should go run some laps up and down the stairs!
Well done all of you with your fitness stuff though. I am also one of those freaks that puts muscle on quite quickly, I have always had big biceps for some strange reason although they are now hidden under that ugly bingo wing fat but they're still there x

LanadelLol · 06/01/2016 22:07

indi apparently you should at least take calcium supplements as the baby must take a lot from you to develop their bones and it prevents osteoperosis. When I have checked diet plans they usually include yogurt drinks, cheese, dark leafy greens etc x

Pugmummy87 · 06/01/2016 22:13

Still no sign of AF, bet it bloody turns up tomorrow on the day of the funeral.
However, this seems to be a lucky thread, lots of bfps!

KatOnATinRo0f · 06/01/2016 22:15

Oh you lucky lucky fit people. I put on weight just looking at food and am a classic pear- small on top and big fat arse. Can build muscle on my quads okay But having a bit of difficulty getting my glutes and hammies to show any improvement. I need to really watch what I eat and do moderate exercise to stay a size 10. I think if I didn't gym id def be a 12 on the bottom. I'd love to build more muscle for a more athletic look but part of the problem is my continuing commitment (or wanes) and my diet. I just did a 75 min spin session, had chicken, salad and two pieces of left over chocolate orange and 5 crisps. Probably ate as many cals as I burnt. Pfft. And then this TTC doesn't help.
Soz rant over

StarkyTheDirewolf · 06/01/2016 22:30

Everybody needs to go back to thread 4 and read what jam just posted, I nearly wee'd giggling to myself! I am about to read it to Dh.

IndiX · 06/01/2016 22:32

Kat I'm the same as you, I work hard and try to eat well majority of the time to stay at a size 10, pretty happy though I'm in good shape maybe not after Xmas or tonight's chocolate AF induced feast.
I think as long as we are all healthy and happy that's the most important thing, I'm also going to try to relax a bit this month. I think in December becuase it was my first month TTC and I am SO new to all of this, I was stressing about everything and not sleeping well. This month I'll have lots of sex, sleep, good food, workouts and maybe go wild and add some dairy in for good measure haha!

IndiX · 06/01/2016 23:00

That is the funniest post jam and Starky, we were both laughing our heads off all the way through. I especially loved the old ladies 'hunting in packs like raptors' and the shit compared to terrorists hahaha we have all that to look forward to girls!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 06/01/2016 23:11

Haha jam very funny!

Loving this new bus so far - lots of BFPs I see! I got agesss before I test. I'm not even ovulating yet Hmm better hurry up!

I'm due to ovulate on Saturday but not got any whiff of a second line on opk's - is that normal? BBT still pre-ovulation.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 07/01/2016 00:08

zazzles I feel your pain re: ages to test! Of I ovulated when I first though it's been 18 days! Now thinking I possibly actually ovulated later, maybe the 28th/29th and I've still got 6 days till af is due. The wait has been eternal!

I'd say definetly normal not to be seeing anything on okp's yet though, I'd expect some kind of action darkening lines maybe Friday, but remember you may ovulate slightly later than you expect. In the run up to ovulation I'd be doing two or three okp's a day, one with second morning urine, one mid afternoon and one early evening.

leoniethelioness · 07/01/2016 06:46

Starky You're getting there!

I think I'm now in the two week wait as it's 13 days until AF is due but as I had one cycle of 35 days, and that could happen again, I'm going to try to keep up the sexathon this week and next just in case. I've been reading that regularly having sex 2-3 times a week every week usually results in a BFP within a year for most couples.

Back to monitoring CM, I guess... Lovely...

DrWhy · 07/01/2016 06:54

Well there's something to be said for waiting to test, no squinting there!
I can't quite believe it! I've just turned 35 and that was cycle 1 of trying I think the odds of that are about 20%
For info, I'm a size 12-14, pretty much veggie so eat a lot of dairy and am hopelessly inconsistent about the gym!
Eeek!!!!
