What is everyone's opinion on cheap tests like:

Thinking to get some like this in case I get a bit test happy toward AF time, and then I can only use the more expensive ones like clear view if anything indicated on these?

I've bought some of these lauren 😂😂 I figure they'll amuse me until I crack and then use a superdrug or first response lol

Choc I hope you finally get a sensible answer soon from the Drs, it must be very annoying.
I cracked tonight and tried to persuade DH to go home via boots to get a test, I failed. He's being all rational and asking what I'd do differently if I know now rather than in a week - he really doesn't see the point in early testing. To be fair the only answer is to change from conception vitamins to pregnancy vitamins! I've not had any alcohol for a few days and probably won't have any more in Jan, I'm limiting my caffeine from today anyway and other than soft cheese don't think I'll have too much trouble avoiding banned foods. I just want to know!
Have sneakily added tests to tomorrow's online shop so if no af by Thursday morning I'll test.
I think I'm driving myself mad imagining I'm pregnant now when the chances are that my cycle is just messed up from the pill.

Thick and slightly sticky choc although it's not unusual for it to be watery too.

I'm definetly pre-menstrual, I have spots popping up everywhere! And shooting pains like I've got a javelin poking my arse (ooh-er!) ! And I just nearly cried AGAIN because someone turned into a monster on telly! I've lost it! I've officially lost it! I'm never this wet! (And not in a soggy fanny way!)

Goodness me, I can hardly keep up. I took a few days off to be bummed about af and you've all written about twenty pages in the meantime :)

So I'm ttc #1, cycle 2.

Don't ask me which day I'm on, I thought I was regular but obviously I'm not. Haha

Anyway our plan for this month is dtd every other day for two weeks over the fertile time. Let's see if it works.

CD21.... I am usually a 23 day cycle however Ovia has changed this to a 28DC due to my 1st OPK reading on the 14th soooo I don't know whether to test tomorrow or not, reason being I usually spot before AF storms in!
No PG systems as yet anyway but I have plenty of cheap tests sitting doing nothing anyway! X

lauren those are the tests I use. Have their opk strips too.

Bubbles I am 34. I felt the same as you when we first started trying still do all of 2 cycles later then the wise grads came with messages of hope! Fx for us all and baby dust all round! I think for me until we started trying it wasn't even on my radar to worry there might be a problem? Hope you are feeling ok about things now.

CD5 here, feeling fat and unhealthy after Christmas! Looking forward to detoxing a bit and getting back to some exercise! I've bought a ton of OPKs, a thermometer and lots of cheapo ultra sensitive PG tests so hopefully that will be arriving this week.

Symptoms seem to be ramping up today. except the strange one is that I'm cold instead of increased body temp. Might be coming down with a flu with half the tube coughing or sneezing on me today - arghhh stay away from me I'm trying to make a person!

Lower back is absolutely killing - bloating and strange cramps like pulling (?) - DH has commented I'm extra sulky today - visceral hunger (like my body is screaming at me to eat something).

all very convincing symptoms but I'm still swinging back and forth between thinking - yes DEFINITELY, to nah it's just AF symptoms. I don't know what will be more disappointing. No line on a stick or AF making an appearance. All the same I'm going to wait until Friday AM (day before AF)... MUST.WAIT!

DrWhy - your DH has a rational sensible head on him! You're very lucky as that will come in mighty handy when a baby comes around!

Well, I can't sleep!

lillian Dh told me I've been "really weird" all week and apparently today I was "a bit mental" God live him, he's got enough to put up with! And I honestly thought I'd been doing quite well at keeping a lid on the crazy! It seems not!

elle ill be honest, my hair still needs tidying up, I got bored and unreasonable about 70% of the way through the haircut and went "right, that'll do, Pig, that'll do!" A la Farmer Hoggett in Babe. My attention span is shockingly bad this week!

Feeling a bit miserable about my super long cycle, I will not test in January at all! Ovia tells me 30 days until I POAS. Grrr...

In only 3 dpo, so realistically there cant be any symptoms at all as there can't be any hormones yet, but the ttc madness is nicely embedded so I'm over analysing everything! I'm not sleeping and therefore bone crushingly tired, and my nipples feel like they've got pins stabbing them. Some nice sticky cm too.

Lauren I bought those tests a bit ago They work. With this I mean that they work for me as I am saving the more expensive ones for when I miss a period instead. The other ones I use for my mad ideas of 4dpo and so on testing. I need help.

Well.... I did some fmu testing this morning BUT the tests looked as tho they had been cut a bit short (see first photo attached)... So I pulled back the little test mark bit and there was a very faint line... Is this just dye from when the stick soaks up the pee? As I think it would still be too early to confirm. And we all love a phantom line don't we 😉

And my photography skills are crap so if you can't see a line I won't be offended haha x

Hi Lana, it may be an evaporation line but I'm not sure to be honest. I'm sure one of the others will give you better advice. I would try an early detection super drug test tomorrow to make sure x

Mornin ladies.

Although I told myself I wasn't going to test until AF due on Saturday, well I did of course! I had a strange pain at the bottom of my back last night and just couldn't get out of bed this morning so did a Superdrug early detection test with FMU and got this! Am I dreaming or is that a BFP?!
