Relaxed TTC Feb/March/April 2016

Hi,

We've just agreed to start TTC #1 in March so just starting to look at preparing for that - prenatal vitamins, losing some weight, etc.

I'm 33 and have only been with my OH for just over a year but we're both sure this is the relationship for us...we'll be getting married but want TTC as a priority and fit any wedding around Mother Nature.

Not planning any temp checking or charting or such like....maybe I'll change my mind if I'm not preggers after six months or so!

Anyone planning TTC about the same time and want to keep in touch on this thread for relaxed catch ups about preparing and then TTC?

Sarah X

Eurgh, so periodically I suffer with reasonably good going anxiety - and on Monday it reared its ugly head for me. I now don't know what to do - I always come out of it, but it's made my husband a little jumpy about conceiving. Eurgh - not asking for advice as much as venting my frustration!

Ttc definitely on hold for the moment. Am back in hospital for tests/scans & may need further operation, only to find out that i'm at risk of redundancy!

This is not how I expected 2016 to start off!

Felipa · 03/02/2016 11:39

Aw it sounds like a few of us are having a hard time at the minute Sad

I have been feeling a bit down the past week and have no idea why but shouldn't complain as I have no health issues. Maybe am just tired, but just can't get motivated to do anything.

Felipa · 03/02/2016 11:44

jenny hope you're ok, it sounds awful being on hospital and not knowing what's going on

TheresaMarie55 · 03/02/2016 12:37

Jenny so sorry you're going through all that, bug hugs. Sorry to others having a hard time to, hope things improve soon.

My girls have both been quite ill the past few days, it's been so tiring and had me wondering if I'm crazy wanting another. I know I really must though as even with an hours sleep last night the want is still there! Just over 11 weeks until we start trying, not that I'm counting lol! X

TheresaMarie55 · 03/02/2016 12:38

Big hugs*

AliceScarlett · 03/02/2016 14:31

I'm going to pile in and moan about giving up nicotine replacement, day one and its worse than giving up fags :( I'm climbing the walls. SO angry and agitated. Angry
Just got to remember I'm doing it for a good reason. Angry

Hi folks, Id love to join you all. I had a mc in December and so we are TTC in a relaxed fashion and I've started taking vitamins and we're both focussing on healthy eating and getting fit ( it keeps our minds off it I suppose). I'm waiting for the return of AF before we officially start to ttc, so hopefully that's not too long away. I'm going to go back and catch up on some of the thread now.

On the subject of prams, I highly recommend getting a pram that is a good size for a toddler but also lays flat so you can use it from birth. I paid 99 pounds for my first dds pram, brand new and used it for a good two years. Slings and carriers are fab but having a pram is handy for those who don't drive as you can just pop your bags on the pram. I want a travel system this time as I've never had one and we got rid of the baby car seat. We will use the carry cot as a Moses basket for the first few months to save buying one. X

AliceScarlett · 03/02/2016 18:14

I'll get something like this www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3756090.htm will see me through from newborn to toddler and I can carry the car seat about so I don't wake em.

I've completely fallen off the thread this week, been ill all week. Have been off food except plain biscuits and forgotten folic acid most days plus I have a prescription that I'm scared about taking incase I am pregnant even though the gp said it would be ok. So not a good week! Back to TTC next week, period due Tues or Weds but DH and I are both off work the following week so that should be a good time to crack on!

stumblymonkey · 06/02/2016 08:53

I'm in the FW so we're DTD roughly every other day apart from when DP is 'too tired' which is when I then demand it the next day. I'm so caring, relaxed and not at all a control freak Grin

Hope you have a better week Pointless

Stumbly ha ha, how dare he be tired Wink needs to get some caffeine in him and don his cape.

ASD is actually incredibly useful with DH and TTC, I put dtd in his diary, he has very strict diary rules: everything needs to be done Grin I could even specify the time!

Pointlessfan · 06/02/2016 09:14

That's brilliant alice!!

Cateroo · 06/02/2016 11:17

I've been very nauseous for the last few days. My OPKs are all negative but something doesn't feel normal. Think I possibly ovulated early! Out on this weekend, the nausea is quelling any interest I drinking

Cateroo · 06/02/2016 11:18

Sorry that didn't make sense!

AliceScarlett · 06/02/2016 11:50

Oo hope its an early preg sign and not Noro Star

mangocoveredlamb · 06/02/2016 22:33

I'm so excited! DH has just agreed we can stop using condoms. Initially we were waiting until after my April period!

stumblymonkey · 06/02/2016 22:36

Oooh....congrats Mango!

ButtonTum · 07/02/2016 08:47

Congrats mango.

I'm on ovia religiously. Watching every sign of ovulation- I've never been so attuned to my body. We go on holiday in 2.5 weeks for almost a month and will start ttc when we get back so I'll be right there with you!

Thing is I'm looking forward to it more than my holiday!

Pointlessfan · 07/02/2016 09:44

That's exciting mango!
DH is very much looking forward to his week off now I've told him it'll be "sex week"!!

mangocoveredlamb · 07/02/2016 10:33

Haha Pointless!

Felipa · 07/02/2016 15:19

Welcome mango! Are you addicted to Ovia yet? I got excited this morning when mine said "today you are in your FW". Finally!!

AliceScarlett · 07/02/2016 17:38

I'm a fertility friend convert, Ovia isn't accurate enough for me.
