Hello, do you mind if I join you all? Loving this thread!

I'm 29 (as of yesterday!), DH is 30 and this is currently cycle 2, AF due to arrive today but hasn't as yet. BFN today. I sadly lost my step dad before christmas, which was around the time I wold have been ovulating and as such we only managed to dtd at the beginning of my fertile window.

I normally temp as well as check for fanny juice (great name for it!), but temping kind of went by the wayside due to events and then I caught a fucking awful cold and developed a fever so temps not reliable anyway, so I'm not sure when/or if I ovulated at all.
I also have pcos which just buggers things up even more.

So now I'm just waiting for AF to arrive, had a bit of cramping earlier today for about 2 minutes and thats it. No other usual AF is imminent signs. Bitch will probaby arrive on thursday which is the day of the funeral. :(

leonie I'm on cycle 2 too! I'm so impatient though. I'm actually a bit annoyed I didn't conceive first month! my DH jokes that I'm out of control .
Ah with a 29 ish cycle you're probably near peak - yes go jump on your DH! I've already given my DH advanced warning that next week is a shagathon!

DH has informed me that I always get up to pee straightaway after sex and now I'm convinced I'be been doing this TTC thing wrong. Often it's bedtime and I come back and go to sleep afterwards so lie down all night. Have I been wiping all the sperm away? I thought because there were millions and millions of them that it wouldn't make a difference but I'm having a wobble now! What should I be doing to maximise my chances this month?

Zazzles - just checked Ovia and my fertile window has begun! It's a green week for me. I've not been adding any data this cycle so it's just showing as this week as it's about two weeks before I'm due on. I stopped tracking CM when I had no wi fi on holiday and was trying to enjoy Christmas without obsessing! Now I'm wishing I'd been more observant!

After sex my DH always makes me stay in bed for a good 10 mins, I don't know if it works and it feels disgusting but every little helps. Saying that I'm not preggo this cycle so it's probably a load of rubbish!

Indi I think I'm going to have to give it a try... So that rules out morning sex until the weekend unless I set my alarm early!

If you don't pee after sex you risk encou raging UTIs... however, if you stay lying down, slightly tilt your pelvis (even pop a pillow under you bum) for a bit, I've heard it can help things along :)

I had the worry of that too indi and was sitting with my arse elevated for 20 mins after sex. Dh thought I was insane. After a Google, it apparently makes very little difference as the sperm reach their destination in seconds, regardless of anything else. The idea of gravity or weeing is neither here nor there. Sperm knows where it's going as it's preprogrammed to know. Anything that comes out is seminal fluid with dead sperm. Meaning, there is already enough where it needs to be.

Have been reading (this tread and the old one) for a week or so now. Came off the pill on our anniversary dec 22nd, had withdrawal bleed 26-30th and so have been officially on TTC cycle one since jan 1st I guess!

I'm 25, TTC baby #1. been on the pill for about 6 years.

Looking forward to tracking everyone's progress and posting my own updates, I think dp thinks I've gone mad with all the baby talk so need to keep it away from him a bit, at least until anything happens, and don't want to share our secret with friends etc unless there's a reason to!

Age 35, DH is 33. Cycle 24 (feels like a million!). CD 25.

AF due in next couple of days. Sore boobs. Know it's AF but keeping everything crossed it's not. AF came early last month (day 21) - can't decide if it's better to be put out of my misery early or not, but did let me drown my sorrows at my work night out, haha.

Lauren what pill did you come off? I came off the mini pill Zeletta and never had a withdrawal bleed! :)

It was Yasmin. Which scares me as I know it's quite a strong one so may take a while to be out of my system.

Yeah was reading your messages before choc bit of a weird one, why is your blood test so late? Can you not try and get a same day appointment to bring it forward? My docs do walk in blood tests for anything so you don't have to wait so long, I'd be going mad in your situation!

Hi all, I've been lurking in the background but nothing very interesting to report so I didn't want to post boring updates! Ovulated on 27th, managed a little bit of DTD on 26th, 27th, 28th. Absolutely no symptoms at all! Have just been quietly waiting/frustratedly waiting for Friday which is when Ovia says I should test....feel absolutely totally and utterly normal. Which is shame! I was hoping for something vague at least given it felt like a momentous step to start trying!! Anti-climax!

Morning all, I just can't keep up with the thread no matter how much I seem to be trying lol so apologies ladies.

I am 5 days late with AF but have tested negative so I don't know what's going on. Going to repeat the test today but I don't have any symptoms of pregnancy or AF. I'm normally regular too it's odd. I am off work today & tomorrow as having my heart rate monitored for 24 hours from this afternoon, just a precaution as I had an an irregular pulse a couple of months back. Hope you all have a good Monday.

Google is not my friend this morning....Couldn't sleep last night cos I felt so damn hot...Google says it could be early pregnancy sign! I never got any hot sweats Ni. But you're supposed to warm up when pregnant, I'm just a weirdo who is cold instead.

Bfn this morning ladies with the super drug sensitive test, but I'm fine and looking forward to AF getting here who would've thought I'd say that! This month I'm going to focus on getting my fitness, health and body back after that indulgent Xmas period, off to the gym soon wish me luck, probably pass out after 10 mins on treadmill and now I know to have sex A LOT more. We did DTD often in December but January is going to be all day everyday if we can!!
