Oh choc that is so frustrating, I would say you're pregnant too but the negatives are so confusing! Worst case scenario you wait until 13th with no AF and are told then, I don't think test results would take any longer than 24hours!?

Chocaholic88 · 03/01/2016 19:10

indi oo I hope you're right and it's 24hrs! I fell with my son before having a period after stopping the pill and my Dr refused to believe it! Their blood results took a week to come back... then I could do smug my I told you so face 😂😂

I will be beyond lucky if I've fallen this quick and that's what makes me so hesitant to believe it!! 😧🙈

IndiX · 03/01/2016 19:19

Well I live in Scotland but test results are always pretty quick and to come back. Fx for you anyway choc , either way you will know by around the 13th and you can either get cracking with hour next cycle or start looking for baby things and thinking of names! Grin

Mileymoocow · 03/01/2016 19:21

I always thought if it was a positive then you are. I know you've already said but I'm fuzzy headed and not thinking straight but when were/are you due to test? I really hope it's good news

Runner05 · 03/01/2016 19:34

I still think you've probably had a chemical pregnancy Choc and that would explain why you've got symptoms.

If you'd got negatives on any brand but FRER then it would be a different matter but 2 negatives on FRER a week after a squinter on a Superdrug doesn't sound very promising as you should be getting a dark line on any brand by now. It will be interesting to see what the bloods say though.

Chocaholic88 · 03/01/2016 19:34

miley I stopped the mini pill on December 12th, that's the one where if you miss 12 hrs you're not protected. It's apparently gone from your system in 48 hrs... Apparently lol.

So I should have had a bleed by now but some people go a long time after stopping for their cycle to reset.

Although I had the implant out in June (which is the same drug just in your arm basically!) And my cycle returned within a couple of weeks and I was back to 28 day cycles...

Sorry for the ramble: short answer is, I have no idea when I'm supposed to test. Been having sickness at intervals each day for over a week now!

ElleSarcasmo · 03/01/2016 19:37

Fx for you Choc, Indi, Miley and Littlebelle.

Did you ever get your hair cut Starky, or is your DH still at the gym?!

Loved the baby names Bunch and Starky (sorry if I've missed anyone out, this thread is moving like lightning!). I really want to name ours after my DGM (Hilda) or is that one of those names that shouldn't be revived?

I'm on CD3 now, looking forward to getting on the January bus now! I will try to be a bit more chilled this month though have bought a TON of OPKs on amazon, hmm

Harriet I will have the same problem with OPKs (though home before 8 most days). I won't be able to dip in a pot easily at all at work and there is often a queue for the only cubicle so don't want to be in for ages either...maybe I'll just test when I get in. What time did you get your strongest OPKs Shelb and Runner?

Sorry you're not feeling too good Shelb, hope it passes quickly xx

Runner05 · 03/01/2016 19:40

Elle I did a opk at about 8am and another about midday but I'm a bad example because I had a long hormone serge of about 4 days so my opk were strong at both times.

Morning sickness has properly kicked off now here. I don't recommend it Hmm

Chocaholic88 · 03/01/2016 19:44

Yep quite possibly runner ... do you start AF/ a bleed soon after or is it a while? not sure why you'd have any idea but someone may know lol

Bloods will be interesting plus if it was all a random fluke... I might still fall or have fallen between the dates and get positive bloods yes I know it's unlikely but humour me ladies

And yes runner morning sickness sucks 😷😷

Runner05 · 03/01/2016 19:55

Choc it is normal to get a withdrawal bleed straight away but even if your cycle has returned to normal immediately after stopping contraception before you could find yourself waiting months for your body to kick start again.

If AF hasn't turned up after a couple of months you can speak to the dr. And get them to give you something (I've forgotten what) to force your body back into cycle.

I can't remember if you've said before but if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

Oh and yes, if you're not upduffed now then it is possible you could still become so. It all depends on whether you ovulate/have ovulated/are waiting to ovulate. If I were you I'd get some cheap ovulation sticks and start monitoring. It may give you a little more insight into what's going on Thanks

Mileymoocow · 03/01/2016 20:00

Thank you elle Smile I'm pretty sure I'm in club of February though because I'm getting more pms-sy as the night goes on. It's nice to know I'm getting back to normal after having implant removed though. And fwiw I think Hilda is a really good name

Excuse my total ignorance but what's a chemical pregnancy?

Runner05 · 03/01/2016 20:04

Miley a chemical pregnancy is where the egg is fertilised and begins to implant so your body starts producing pregnancy hormones but for some reason implantation doesn't take (perhaps a defect within the blastocyst) and you usually have a period as normal but if you tested early sometimes you will get a very faint positive but instead of getting darker if you test a day or two later it will disappear.

Chocaholic88 · 03/01/2016 20:09

Which would make total sense for me runner

And I'm 27 xx

Mileymoocow · 03/01/2016 20:10

Thanks runner.

This TTC stuff just throws more and more shit at you to worry about, doesn't it!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 03/01/2016 20:18

Hi everyone, this bus moves fast!! Only been away a few days and lots to catch up on!

Latest on me - CD7 today, I'm temping, bought balance activ conceive ready & taken soya this cycle so I'm as prepared as I can!
I ovulated on CD13 last month so I'm dtd every day from tomorrow - if I'm not upduffed this cycle then I'm going to be majorly cheesed off!!! Grin

leoniethelioness · 03/01/2016 20:31

Ooh Zazzle I'm on CD 13... Better find DH!!

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 03/01/2016 20:34

Haha leonie! How long are your cycles? Are you using opk's?

leoniethelioness · 03/01/2016 20:40

I'm not using OPKs, Zazzle, but I will if we don't conceive this month. I've got some waiting in my Amazon basket ready! I thought about getting them this month but it's only cycle 2 for us and I thought they'd arrive too late. Last two cycles have been 29 days and the one before that ~35. I've had four proper cycles since stopping the pill but only decided to TTC last month. How long have you been trying?

Feefeefs · 03/01/2016 21:04

The thread fills up fast AF arrived for me yesterday, in a way good as cycle back to normal after the minipill. I think it really does clear out of your system fast ! We are only causally trying as want to buy a house in the summer and DH is convinced I'll be no help during the moving process if heavily upduffed.

I am very broody though. Trying to stay positive the cycle 2 will be luckier!

Loulabelle1990 · 03/01/2016 21:13

Hey everyone, loving this thread Grin

I am a newbie - 25. Came off cerazette 4 weeks ago and not had any bleeding since I started it or since coming off. I have no idea when I am ovulating so it's like a stab in the dark at the moment Confused. I am hoping AF will arrive soon! (Never thought I'd ever say that!) xx

leoniethelioness · 03/01/2016 21:21

Hi Loulabelle - welcome!

Fee - sorry to hear about AF.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 03/01/2016 21:29

I've messaged you choc Grin

Thanks elle I LOVE Hilda, I honestly think it's gorgeous, and a lovely tribute too!

I have 80% of a haircut! He's done most of the length and I started to cut my own fringe before Dh got back, he was APPALLED! He was so annoyed at me and I've honestly not stopped laughing at his reaction since!

He went "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO CUT YOUR OWN HAIR!" ...Well that was it, I was on the floor, creased up laughing, I was weak! It took me about 10 minutes to recover! I coukd see the realisation of him realisisng what he was saying was nit right as he said it, but he committed to his statement and i applaud that! What he meant was 'it is my job to look after and cut your hair!' We've got to tidy it up with some layers and do a proper fringe tomorrow because we had to go to my dps for tea.

I do agree with runner, choc and a chemical pregnancy would make sense. But definetly agree to keep on top of it with testing and see what the blood results are. I'd assume it would take a week or so get them back, maybe 10 days.

Welcome lou

I've replied stark... Well I will keep you all updated! Just had those odd slight pull aches/mild pain on the lower right side (but too far left to be an ovary) ... odd! Will keep an eye on it x

IndiX · 03/01/2016 21:45

Just got in to bed, really tired lately and first day back in the gym tomorrow may possibly die after a 2 week break, do you think I'd be mad testing again in the morning? A part of me wants to wait until AF as my CM is telling me it's close plus it's a waste of a test and ££££'s...but there's another part of me just wanting to see if the super drug sensitive tests will tell me anything that the FR one didn't?
Please tell me I'm mad if you think so.. Confused

Runner05 · 03/01/2016 21:56

Use the test ind Wink
