Hope it's not too presumptuous but the last thread was nearly full so thought I'd get a new one ready!

Hi all, hope you've all been having a good weekend.

Af arrived for me too, which adds to the mystery of my odd cycle as I was now expecting it to arrive tomorrow based on my recalculations....it arrived yesterday which would have put my ov at cd26 which doesn't seem right looking at my chart. Who knows what happened, very odd.

Anyway, CD2 for me and I'm thinking I might take a break this month from ttc. It's now cycle 13 and ttc just feels pointless. For some reason it's not happening and I'm stuck waiting for DP's SA referral to come through before I can do anything else. Not sure whether to bother trying in the meantime.

Hi Kellz Sorry about AF. Good luck with SMEP - I try to follow it most months but sometimes find it rather difficult to muster the motivation, esp. because I'm not properly tracking ovulation. I hope it works for you!

Sorry about AF and feeling TTC despondent DizzyN It does get you down doesn't it, when you try your best and every month AF appears, while around you everyone seems to fall pregnant at the drop of a hat. Sigh. Sorry, I was meant to cheer you up! So on a positive note, soon your DP's referral will be in and you'll be closer to getting answers!

I had a really bad weekend Nomio but don't feel too guilty as it was for celebratory reasons. I do feel bad though that I didn't make it to the gym today. However, tomorrow is another day, and I'll just aim to do better. Congrats on doing so well!

Hi everyone, I'm home!!!

Skiing was brilliant, and the most chilled out I have been in a long time. Plenty of 'us' time for me and dh, and barely any (I can't say none) thinking about ttc.

I'm going to read through and catch up between washing and unpacking as have this morning off work.

As for me, I'm on cd19, and I think about 5dpo although I haven't temped. My IVF drugs are being delivered this morning sometime (fx before 12.30 otherwise I'll be late to work!) and they include anti sickness tablets to take from the start in case I have a bad reaction to the estrogen again! Xx

Hey we just had a better weekend. I head a thing on the radio which talked about how tough ivf is and how many couples struggle to support each other. Made me feel better...

DizzyN I think a break sounds good whilst you're waiting for results. You've had a lot to get your head around in the last few weeks, it'll be good for you to take the pressure off yourself for a month.

Nomio how was dildocam? Hope everything went well! Good on you for the gym session. I went out for a meal last night with DH and ate way more than I should, went for a long walk afterwards. Need to up my dieting game!

Sammy glad you enjoyed your holiday. All relaxed and ready to go for the next IVF? Hopefully the anti sickness drugs with make it more bearable for you!

The norethisterone has worked its magic and the bleeding has completely stopped. I'm feeling quite grumpy and rough though. Not sure if it's the medication or something else. I also can't stop googling about my blood test results. I'm a bit cross that I was just told they were normal because individually they were in normal range but if you look at the LH and FSH together, they're not what they should be. That might just be the grumpiness talking though!

I definitely agree with you about your results, Magpie. Hopefully it is nothing, but I think it needs investigating.

Thanks for all the good wishes. Dildocam was actually not too bad at all. I was seen on time, so had the external scan before I was at the wetting myself stage, which was good. Internally she said everything was OK. There weren't any cysts at all & she said everything looked fine. The only thing is that she found a fibroid & I don't know if that is anything to worry about it not. Will be consulting Dr Google shortly.

After being good yesterday, I am now sat in Costa with a latte & a chocolate brownie.

Boris, I have read lots about IVF being hard on relationships. I think it is far more common for it to cause stress than not. It is hard, but I am sure you & DH will be fine as long as you keep making time for yourselves.

Sorry for your disappointment, Kellz. It is horrible when you think you might have actually gone it, then find out you haven't. Hopefully it won't be long until you get that BFP.

Nomio glad the dildocam was okay! I don't know much about fibroids, I'd tell you to stay away from Dr Google but that would make me a massive hypocrite! Have you got an appointment lined up to go through the results?

Dr Google was kind to me on this occasion! Apparently it is nothing to worry about. They often come & go at any time up to the menopause. The fact that there was only one & that it wasn't there last time I had this done reassures me too.

Magpie great news about the bleeding stopping - it must be a nice change. About the results - just think you have your appointment soon.

My not-symptom-spotting is going remarkably well aided by the fact that I actually haven't had any. Last month my boobs were killing me and I got my hopes up but AF rocked up so I swore to myself I wouldn't get worked up again. I can't even think not having symptoms might be a symptom because that's happened before too....oh well...one day (I hope)

Oh and Boris I imagine that IVF can be really difficult on couples but am sure you'll both be fine, and glad that hearing about it made you feel better.

Quick update from me:

Positive: Nomio since you asked, got my 4st award from Slimming World as planned. Trying to keep the faith/focus for the last 2st now.

Negative: currently sat in gyne ward in local hospital after AF arrived post Norethisterone with the worst pain ever! (Sorry Magpie be warned!)

Waiting on scan today, which in one way is good coz finally doing something investigation wise, but wish it hadn't taken so much pain and overnight hospital stay to get to this point. No idea what my body is playing at but owwwww!!

Magpie blood test results suck when they pretend to be normal. So much sympathy for you, sounds so much like my journey too. Really hope you don't get same issues with Norethisterone and docs manage to sort u out soon.

So doc this morning suspects endometriosis which I have been trying to get them to investigate for years and which would certainly explain fertility issues

However she also says there looks to be something wrong with my kidney function. Waiting on scan n further tests

Feeling very sorry for myself right now xx
