Starting the boarding for the December Bus...

My history if anyone is interested:-

DS1 in October 2012. Started ttc for dc2 last September. Got BFP in the November but MC'd at 5 weeks.
Fast forward to July, got another bfp. Started bleeding on August Bank Holiday weekend and found out we had MMC at 11 weeks. Had ERPC a week later. 5 weeks later after still getting positive hpts, found out the ERPC had been completely unsuccessful and had to have whole bloody procedure again.

Anyway. Now got my first proper period after all the above bullshit and hoping for bfp on or before the 18th December

Name acupuncture is something I was considering before my last bfp in July, lets us know how it feels/how it goes?

Yesterday I did a quick pee on the IC cheapie (I say cheapie, they're same as the blue-ended dip ones the NHS uses) and it looked negative. About ten mins later I took it downstairs to chuck it out and I had a look under the bright under-cabinet lights in the kitchen. Thought I saw a shadow but it was v hard, disregarded it and hey ho, carried on with day.

Tested again this morning. Again no line immediately (although last time I was upduff the ICs never went v dark) but after my shower and the urine had cleared (if that makes sense, the pink background had cleared to white) a v faint line appeared with a slight pinkish tinge.

I've taken it out and looked at it so many times now it's totally disintegrating!

Am also reading a lot about evaporation lines and thinking hmmmm. AF due tomorrow, I guess, assuming I OVd when I think I did - day 16. FF had AF due on Sunday. WRONG.

That's a definite line!! Congratulations!!!

With DC1, there was no colour, just the faintest water mark that would disappear if you blinked and DH couldn't see it. That ever so faint line is now a boisterous 2 year old.

My husband has low mobility sperm (we did a home test last month) I'm currently being checked up too.

Yes I think I'll go get some tests from Boots tonight. I actually work away from London Mon-Wed so I'm not home at the moment. And I was strangely ill on weekend with short-lived but unexplained fever of 39C on Sunday night, gone by yesterday morning. And dodgy guts.

If this is a real positive - amazing but also really scary with the MMC I had earlier this year.

Thanks everyone, this is the first 'bus' I've been on but it's been quite reassuring to have you about as needed.

We shall see. I am not 100% on this positive yet but I'll keep peeing on sticks.

Also, just wondering; there seem to be many people on this board who come off hormonal contraception and seem to have to wait a month before TTC. Why is this? I thought you became fertile straight away? Am I missing something?

Polgara - ETD is estimated test date, so usually the date your AF is due. And the reason people wait a month after coming off contraception is because that is what docs advise, then you've had a period and it's easier to do all your due date calculations etc. However, if you're anything like me after coming off contraception you might not get your periods back straight away anyways (mine took about 6 months to return!!)

According to ovia I'm now in my TWW ... Let the anticipation begin!

This is all so much more complicated than I thought - thought it was just stop the contraception and shag.... Which isn't a problem, anybody else find they get more 'attention' after coming off the pill? Thinking it may be pheramones or something?
